2-Sterne-Hotels in Zhenjiang

Smoking smell is qite strong so I got to change to a new room which was better but not 100% smkoing-free. The room is good and spacious. All facilities are okay and up tp standard. Room facility is good. Hotel is hidden in the back of a big buidling so It took me 10 mins to find the hotel building but the hotel entrace is very close to Train station. So if you have morning train to catch, this is a very good place for you. Apart from smoking smell , the rest is perfect :) Will come back here again :)

The facilities are quite new and the staff are helpful. They provide a towel, toothbrush and toothpaste. The area feels safe and is conveniently located near the railway station and shopping centre. This area is quite close to the former residence of the American writer Pearl Buck if you want to to visit. It’s free to enter the house and museum.

Uniquely designed, feels very western. Staff was great and had advanced knowledge of English. Beds were so comfy. Lots of shops and restaurants south of the building. Wifi was fast. Windows we’re big. Only thing I didn’t like was the breakfast hawker outside of the lobby. It was so loud and violent that I thought it was a demonstration lol. I have the feeling that this is a daily occurrence so if you don’t want to hear yelling and banging pans for an hour every morning request a room on the east side. Even still, this place is fantastic and I recommend it

周邊吃的選擇很多！主要是奶茶，小吃類，離萬象城吾悦很近。 房間很好啊，性價比很高，雖然是老房子，但是乾淨整潔，衣架桌椅都有！ 老闆娘人很好！

Die Lage des Hotels ist sehr gut, im Zentrum der Stadt ist es bequem und nahe an einem berühmten Restaurant, es ist neu renoviert, persönlich mag das Zimmer im Boden, sehr sauber, der Parkplatz ist groß, kann dieses Gummi-Punkt hochladen, es wird ein bisschen kostenlos, kann nichts ignoriert werden [Lachen], im Allgemeinen ist es immer noch empfohlen, Und die Miss Rezeption ist besonders enthusiastisch und hat viele Spezialitäten vorgestellt.

I was immediately impressed by its cleanliness, elegance, and modern design. The room was spacious, with a comfortable king-size bed that provided the perfect balance of softness and support. The linens were crisp and fresh, and the pillows were plush, ensuring a restful night’s sleep.

Die Lage des Hotels war ideal, zentral gelegen, so dass es einfach ist, die Stadtspitzen zu erkunden. Ob ich zum Einkaufen, zum Sightseeing oder zum Essen in lokalen Essen ging, alles war in kurzer Entfernung. Nach dem Eintritt in mein Zimmer war ich sofort von seiner Reinigkeit, Elegance und modernen Design beeindruckt. Das Zimmer war geräumig, mit einem komfortablen King-Size-Bett, das das perfekte Gleichgewicht von Softness und Unterstützung lieferte. Die Linen waren schwarz und frisch, und die Kissen waren raffiniert, um eine ruhige Nachtschuhe zu gewährleisten.

Die Lage des Hotels ist sehr gut zu finden, kostenlose Parkplätze, Zimmer groß, der Chef ist enthusiastisch, die Stadt ist nicht groß, es ist sehr bequem zu spielen, hinter dem Hotel gibt es einen Park, die Umgebung ist sehr gut

GreenTree Inn, Jurong (Jiangsu Province) is an oldie but a goody! I stayed there for 5 nights in late August/early September (2025). At first glance I was a bit dubious, but it turned out to be a really great place to stay. I felt very safe there and in the neighbourhood (day and night) and would stay there again. Excellent customer service ..… the Reception and cleaning staff were all really friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. The first room I was allocated smelt of cigarette smoke (no thank you!), but I was immediately moved into a nicer smelling room, which was absolutely spotless, quite large, and had a nice new smart tv, air con, an opening window with a flyscreen and security bars (essential for a ground floor room), nice solid furniture, pure white linen (impressively imprinted with “GreenTree Inn”) and a clean, comfy doona and pillows. A standard hard’ish Chinese bed, but I find them quite comfy. The old carpet runner along the length of the long ground floor hallway (where my room was) is a relic from way back when, but it was clean and well maintained, as was the rest of the hotel that I could see. The shower head needed fixing, but that’s an annoyingly common problem in pretty much every budget ＞ mid range hotel I’ve ever stayed in, in China. The hotel is only about 20 metres from Jurong Chongming Subway Station. Local bus stop almost at the front door (& across the road). The entrance to the old cobbled road (no cars allowed) & all its little shops is across the road at the lights, and a large pharmacy at the entrance (near the “archway”). Electric scooters galore to hire (via the AliPay or WeChat apps) outside the subway. Plenty of restaurants in walking distance once you get past the trades shops (plumbing supplies etc). My only gripe about GreenTree Inn Jurong (& this is a gripe I have for many hotels etc throughout China) is that smoking is allowed on the premises. I think it’s the worst it’s been since 2002 when I first started travelling to China. It’s awful walking into foyers and lifts that reek of cigarette smoke, and copping wafts of the smoke along hallways from smokers in their rooms (& ashtrays at lift entrances), and horrible arriving tired after a long flight and long trek from airports etc, only to discover you then have to request a room change to escape the smoke, and start all over again. No matter how accommodating the staff are, I could easily do without that hassle and the horrible smell. In my opinion, hotels etc in China need to up their game where that’s concerned, and follow the lead of the many countries which have banned cigarette smoking in all public buildings (including hotels), all public indoor and outdoor spaces, anywhere near children and shopping centres, on and near public transport etc etc etc.

Das Zimmer ist sauber, die Umgebung ist auch gut, das Hotel unterhalb des Nachtmarktes, in der Nähe ist ein Geschäft, ein Speisenmarkt, ein Zhengzhen-Stadt, nichts zu essen, der Verkehr ist auch bequem, die einzige Reue, es gibt immer noch keine Windschutzscheibe, das Badezimmer gibt es keine Abgasschlauch, wenn es ein Unterwäscheschrank ist, ich fürchte, am nächsten Tag kann es nicht tun.
