Die Logde liegt in traumhafter Lage. Unsere Suite war in schönen warmen Farben und mit viel Holz eingerichtet. Dazu ein großes Deck mit Blick in die Wälder. Im Mittelpunkt der Logde steht das große, mit gemütlichen Loungemöbeln, ausgestattete Holzdeck, ein großer offener Kamin als Mittelpunk. Es ist ein schöner Platz für den Aperitif und zum frühstücken. Das Frühstüch und Abendessen waren augezeichnet. Am außergewöhnlichen Pool, umgeben von blühenden Pflanzen, tropischen Vögeln und Schmetterlingen haben wir uns nach den Aktivitäten entspannt. Hervorzuheben sind die herzlichen Menschen, wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt Heidi und Martin

Eine luxoriöse Oase mitten im Wald. Das Hotel/Ressort liegt wirklich fast mitten in einem wunderschönen Waldgebiet bei Plettenberg. Man wohnt in einzelnen Cabins mit geräumiger Terrasse und Blick ins Tal. Die Cabins sind schön gestaltet und unsere hatte sogar einen Kamin. Guter Service rundet alles ab.

Wir waren 5 Nächte als einzige Gäste im Hog Hollow. Michelle, Milla und Joe (der Küchenchef) waren super nett mit tollem aufmerksamen Rundum-Service über den gesamten Tag. Abends konnten wir beim eigens für uns angezündeten Kaminfeuer entspannen. Da nur wir und niemand anderes dort war, haben wir Joe angeboten, dass wir nicht a la carte essen, sondern er uns jeden Tag „überraschen“ könne (so musste er nicht unnötig bevorraten, und konnte besser planen). Die Überraschung, egal ob vegetarisch, Fisch oder Fleisch ist dann auch jeden Tag gelungen, das Essen war phantastisch, ebenso wie das Frühstück. Obwohl wir Segler sind, haben wir den Seeblick keine Minute vermisst. Hog Hollow hat einen großen Salzwasser-Pool, und Nature‘s Valley ist mit seinem Strand gerade einmal 10 min entfernt. Wunderschöne Suiten, eigene private Terrassen, eingebettet in eine phantastische Natur mit Blick über die Wälder rund um Nature‘s Valley - es passt einfach alles! Wir freuen uns auf das nächste Mal!

This was a wonderful place to stay, views were breathtaking & the staff couldn’t do enough for us & a visit from the monkeys were a delight. Even washed our car unbidden.

This dreamy hidden gem along the Garden Route is well worth the visit. Lovely rooms, comfy bed and great staff. The views and setting are magical and it is chilled and beautiful. We treated ourselves to a fab massage and chilled by beautiful pool. There are also lots of excursions easily accessible from here. The staff made us feel so welcome and taken care of.

This idyllic lodge is hidden away down a lane off the main road and the moment you drive into the parking area you could be in a different world. You are greeted with such genuine warmth by the staff you are made to feel very special. The communal rooms and large terrace are inviting and welcoming and the individual lodges are charming, comfortable and well appointed. This got our vote for the best breakfast of any of the lovely places we stayed in South Africa - which is no mean feat. We also ate here two evenings and the food was delicious. The lovely ladies on reception were helpful in their advice and recommendations as where best to go during our days there. We will always have very fond memories of our stay at Hog Hollow Lodge. Here’s to the Hoggies!

What a find! We have stayed in some of the best hotels across the world and I don’t think I have ever experienced service like this. From washing your car to offering to tumble dry your damp clothes, nothing is too much trouble. It’s discreet, polite and utterly charming. The setting is captivating with fabulous views across the valley. Rooms are spacious, frequently serviced and have lovely balconies. The pool area is also lovely with plenty of sun beds and space to stretch out. The food is good and there is plenty of it; breakfast is an absolute treat. The location is ideal for those looking to explore the Garden Route with Plettenberg an easy 10 minute drive away. If you are looking for accommodation within the Plettenberg area then I would look no further than Hog Hollow. The Garden Route has plenty of good value accommodation but this has to be one of the best - for service alone I would give this place 5*.

What a delightful place. Getting out of the car you wonder where the hotel is and once you walk through the “forest” archway and down a slope you are met with a delightful reception, dining room and outdoor seating Further down there are bungalows, beautifully decorated and equipped with everything you need including some lovely touches such as bedtime story books The staff are wonderful, food great and nothing is too much trouble Make this your centre for exploring the area and you won’t be disappointed

Simply Heavenly. The location took our breath away; Wilderness as far as the eye can see and nestled amongst the most awe-inspiring fauna and flora. This gem is something to behold.
