Hotel Cristina

My family and I have just spent 9 nights in the lovely Hotel Cristina. We were slightly worried before we went that the hotel may be too far out but absolutely not. Having now been, I would without a doubt choose Hotel Cristina above one that is located in Sorrento town itself. The hotel provides a regular shuttle bus service into Sorrento, which takes approximately 5-10 minutes dependent on traffic. This way it means that you can experience the incredible views that a hillside hotel has to offer whilst still conveniently having the hustle and bustle of the town. The hotel was kept very clean. The only problem was the ants. One night we actually had ants in our bed, which totally freaked me out. The maintenance person came and sprayed them but they were still there so we bought some ant traps to have on the balcony and next to the bed. Unfortunately it left me feeling uncomfortable sleeping in the bed. My daughter was covered in bites but I didn't find any in her room. The ants were also on the balcony in the breakfast room. I appreciate it's difficult to manage ants in a hot environment but when they make their way into your bed, it becomes more of a problem. I must stress though that everywhere else was beautifully clean and I had no major complaints. There seemed to be quite a difference in the size of balconies. We were lucky and had a table and chairs along with two sunbeds whereas some were quite small. We paid extra for a seaview. We ate lunch in the restaurant which was lovely and the same sort of price you would pay in Sorrento. We did find the breakfasts needed a bit more variety as it was the same every day. There weren't loads for vegans but it was ok. They had soya milk, fruit, bread rolls/bread potatoes, beans and cereal. As we stayed there for 9 days it just got a bit samey. The people working in the restaurants were lovely. Sant' Agnello was fine. There were a few restaurants but we only visited one as we went into Sorrento each night. The hotel was conveniently placed for the train station, which was a 10 minute walk. I would have been disappointed if I had stayed in Sant' Agnello without the incredible views. If you are choosing between different hotels, please take this into account as I would stay at Hotel Cristina above the higher end hotels just for the views alone. Overall I would highly rate the hotel and I will be recommending it to anyone thinking of visiting Sorrento. I'm going to miss the views so much. They were just so beautiful.

Our Son and daughter in law settled on hotel cristina to host family and friends for their wedding - Wow !! What a place ! The owners went above and beyond in every way and the staff were beyond amazing, food and drink in hotel was fairly priced, you were not ripped off with silly prices, food was amazing at breakfast lunch and dinner, so pleased this was our base hotel, so nice to find a privately owned hotel which was family friendly, no hesitation in reccomending, simply the best hotel all round we have stayed in for a very long time Thank You to all the staff and owners for making their occassion so very special !!

I loved this hotel! It was very clean, we loved that it was build into the mountain and the views were great. We loved the pool as well, really nice to relax with a cocktail. Staff really friendly and helpful and the shuttle was easy and convenient. Happy we stayed here rather than I more cramped hotel in central Sorrento!

This is a beautiful hotel with a direct view of Vesuvius overlooking the Amalfi Coast. The views are stunning and can’t be beat. The staff was friendly, accommodating, and helpful. They have a very nice pool, bar, and restaurant at the top of the hotel. The breakfast is amazing, with plenty of selection and espresso options. One of the best aspects of the hotel is that it is built into the side of the hill, and the rocks are part of the architecture. Will definitely stay here again. If you are planning a trip to Sorrento, I highly recommend this hotel.

We visited, my wife, two kids and myself end of July. The views are stunning and the hotel really well looked after. The staff made the holiday, super friendly and they couldn’t be more helpful. Hotel shuttle bus to/from centre is super convenient. Would definitely recommend hotel..

A beautiful view of the coast with a pool deck! Absolutely breathtaking! We had the terrace room, same level as the Location was close enough to walk to city centre, about 30 minutes which is nothing in Italy! All you do is walk . The hotel provides shuttle to the train station and the beach so a definite plus! The staff were helpful and always so cheerful. A great experience and I would definitely return to this hotel!

Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Food was very good with a large and varied selection for breakfast. Amazing views from our room and the rooftop bar and pool. Situated a half hour walk from the centre of Sorrento but the hotel runs a free shuttle service every hour or so which was very efficient. Room was a little tired but very clean and perfectly functional. Thank you Hotel Cristina for a wonderful stay and we would definitely stay again.

Great option for Sorrento. Staff - Helpful, friendly yet not imposing. Evidently there is great leadership, kudos to the team. Rooms - Well appointed and spotless, with a backdrop of Mount Vesuvius. Location - Shuttle into town/back to hotel makes logistics very easy. Breakfast - Ample choice of quality options, with homemade pastries. Pool - The perfect spot for relaxing and a spot of lunch.

We have stayed at this property in June for the last 2 years and i would highly recommend it to anyone. Our room (312) was stunning with views of the sea and Bay of Naples. The staff are very friendly and helpful and we look forward to staying again next year
