The Craiglands Hotel, Sure Hotel Collection by Best Western

This hotel is tired. The function rooms were nice, but everywhere else is dated. It's pretty cold too, not sure if there was a problem with the heating, but there was a tiny oil filled radiator in one of the big rooms. Which was like trying to heat the ocean with a hot water bottle! The food was OK, not very warm and quite plain. Drinks prices were generally reasonable. Make sure you're not in any of the rooms above the entrance, as this doubles as the smoking area, it was really noisy until 1am and the reception and staircase smelt of smoke. Everything was clean and the staff were all nice.

Enjoyed our time here stayed one night. The hotel was clean and tidy, nicely decorated for Christmas. Party buffet food was very good. Would stay again.

Lovely hotel in quiet location. Friendly, helpful service and room was perfect for the stay. Very good value

It was nice and comfortable. Things are a bit dated and could do with a re vamp in places. Would stay again though. Didn’t have breakfast so unable to comment. It was nice for the over night stay I needed.

We were a coach party staying overnight. Lovely hotel, cleaned and comfortable. Just felt it was under staffed. We never got told where we was having dinner or breakfast and where the bar was!!! Just given our keys and that was it. We was on the 2nd floor, then had to go down some stairs then up some very very steep stairs, I wasn't impressed as I have walking difficulties. But as it was only one night accommodation I struggled on. If we were staying longer I would of insisted on a room change. There was a wedding party going on, this is why I felt it was very under staffed. Very slow service at dinner time, there was no constituency, the staff was all over the place. Not sure that I would visit again. Staff wasn't very accommodating or friendly. Have stayed in far better hotels!!!!

We have stayed twice in the last two weeks. Lovely rooms, very clean, lovely bedding and towels. The staff at this hotel are all excellent, nothing is too much trouble. Rachael who dealt with us was very friendly, cheerful, easy to talk to as well as being very professional. The manager is the same as the above comments AJ or SJ ( sorry if I haven't got that right ) The only disappointment was the breakfast on the second trip. we didn't think the breakfast was as nice as before but that's just our opinion. I would try the hotel again.

CRAIGLANDS hotel had very clean bedroom, which was nice and warm, great views, friendly staff, good food, and lovely, lovely location. Walking up to the tarn, cow and calf rocks or into ilkley itself were all easy to do. Sizable car park too.

Came for a wedding and generally the staff were fine, bar staff really need some training as the bar service was super slow and drinks prices take the mick! . Hotel is tired and needs updating as it has huge potential. Slightly abrupt lady behind the bar told some of our party to move elsehwere from the public bar which was uncalled for and could have just advised us our party was in another room rather than order us.
