Great staff that I felt went out of their way to be helpful, great location, great room. Okay, so it's not the Ritz, but hey, you're in ”Stubel” and this place is great. Excellent breakfast with a complimentary sunrise as well.

Mistakenly booked this instead of a hotel in Lisbon but no regrets. Room was spacious for 3, included breakfast was very good (especially in free singjng), staff all round were very helpful and welcoming. Room was clean and to be honest, beds were almost the best we've ever slept in. Absolutely recommended.

Compared to our last hotel this was breath of fresh air. We received very warm welcome, shown the communal facilities and then shown our stunning room, which was clean cosy and chic. RM Guest House is well located for restaurants,cafes,a stroll to the beach or just a walk around the squares of Setubal. If, like us, the chain hotels leave you cold stay at RM Guest House where you genuinely feel like a guest rather than a customer.

set in a good location for exploring what setubal has to offer,you will be met by friendly and helpful staff that are not only willing to help and advise,you also get a complimentary drink and map of setubal which turned out to be helpful. there is no lift but staff are more than willing to help if you want. my room was on a corner and large,bright,had high ceilings and designed very tastefully and had a t.v,air-con,mini fridge,free safety deposit box,bottled water,coffee machine and i got a free bottle of wine,throw in good storage space and a modern bathroom with a great shower and this hotel has a lot going for it and one i wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Wir hatten das Hotel für 3 Tage komplett gebucht, um dort eine Hochzeit zu feiern. Super Location. Bestens ausgestattet. Sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Überall tadellose Sauberkeit. Hervorragendes, sehr freundliches und zuvorkommendes Personal im gesamten Hotel. Leckeres Frühstück. Alles in allem: ein wunderbarer Platz, gelegen in einem wunderschönen Tal, ca. 40 km von Lissabon (Stadt und Flughafen) entfernt.

Not a pretty looking hotel from the outside but very modern inside. Very professional staff and a high level of service. We had difficulty with the parking garage which was difficult to access and egress. Rooms were quite large, clean and comfortable with a small balcony and a small water view. We had lunch in their beautiful dining room which was a set menu of 20 euros, the food was excellent and very well presented, service was superb. Breakfast was superior with tons of variety. We were also given a free drink at the bar. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

GGastnutzerThis is a 3-star hotel masquerading as a 4-star hotel. The units that were recently renovated got the landlord special: the doorknobs were falling off the bathroom door, the A/C just didn’t work (the staff insisted it did, but we needed to open the window regardless), and the shower doesn’t have a proper barrier so water gets literally everywhere despite your best efforts. The rooms are tiny giving you no space to get takeout or eat a snack. There are plenty of tables downstairs and poolside but the staff insist you cannot bring outside food even though there is no restaurant using those tables and the tables have no use outside of breakfast. The rooms are expensive for the location and amenities. There is a pool but honestly you don’t come to Portugal to swim in a hotel pool. I’ve stayed at many hotels and I’ve never had a worse experience at a so-called “4-star” hotel. At least with 3 star hotels they’re cheaper and you know what you’re getting. We actually had a better stay at another local hotel last week. A large family suite with powerful air conditioning for far less than this tiny double bed room with a vent that blows oddly humid and slightly cool air.

Wir reservierten dieses Hotel, das nicht viel von ihm aus den USA wusste. wir bleiben 19 Tage und es ist ein wunderbares Hotel. Die Menschen sind sehr nett und professionell. Das Zimmer ist sehr grundlegende, wie wir suchten und sehr sauber. Das Frühstück hat eine große Vielfalt von Brötchen und Obst mit Eiern und Sauce. Der Kaffee ist sehr gut mit einer breiten Vielfalt. Ich empfehle das an jemanden, der keinen schönen Ort braucht, um mit einem großen Service und sauberen Zimmern zu bleiben. Danke für den großen Aufenthalt.

One of the nicest hotels I have stayed at over many years in Europe. My opinion is not because of a spectacular setting or historic site but a very nice hotel only a short walk to the centre of town and right beside a park. The centre of town was surprising as it was very nice and vibrant. Our room was extremely large, there was a third bed we did no need. Tons of amenities like toothbrush…. Very clean and bright. A good breakfast with lots of choice. They helped store our bike for us. Staff were helpful and friendly.

Stayed at the Ibis for a few days and the location isn't great as it's not actually in Setubal. It's more than an hour's walk into town with some stretches of the road on highways with no pavements so it was a bit awkward. We arrived in the evening on Sunday and there were no restaurants open nearby & the hotel restaurant wasn't open either so we had to drive to Burger King to get a meal. There are only two floors at the hotel and rooms are along a long corridor so it's quite noisy with the movement of guests and the banging of doors. The room itself is a room of two halves where the bedroom bit looks quite dated & window was old but the bathroom looks modern and recently refurbished. It's like they couldn't quite be bothered to refurbish the whole place! The room was a good size with ample storage space & did feel clean. The bed was comfortable & the hotel does seem to be making an effort in terms of environmental credentials - toiletries are in dispensers which can be topped up & they smelt v nice! Also there are recycling bins in reception. Some things can be improved though. There is no bin in the room and no tea/ coffee making facilities or a fridge which would have been convenient. The quilt is a tad thick for warm weather. The hair dryer wasn't very useful as it just blows out warm air & takes forever to dry my hair even when it's on the highest setting. There weren't many electric sockets in the room, with the main ones near the window so if it's open when it's raining, they could get wet. The door to the toilet opens in an awkward way so it blocks access to the rest of the room. We paid for brekkie one day (7.50€ per person) & the good thing was the availability of fresh juices and the environmentally friendly jam & preserve dispensers. Bread rolls & croissants were cold & didn't seem fresh; cold boiled eggs tasted sour so they could have been off. We were glad to see pasteis de nata on offer & the pastry was nice and crisp but the custard was way too sweet, which was a shame. We did enjoy the pool which looked fairly clean other than some weird bits floating in it and the resident cats are adorable! Pool towels can be obtained from reception, if needed, which was convenient. If you have access to a car it would be a good place to stay for the price but if you are on public transport, you would be better off staying somewhere alot more central with easy access to the delights of Setubal!

GGuest UserWas für ein kleines rustikales Geschmack, altes Stil Charme, die Zimmer waren grundlegende, aber sauber und komfortabel. Das Personal war alles so freundlich und hilfsbereit und begrüßte das war ein riesiger Plus. Die Betten wurden jeden Tag frisch gemacht, ohne Fehler und sauber frisches Bettwäsche und Handtücher geliefert. Das Buffet Frühstück war gut mit einer Vielzahl von frischen Obst, Joghurt, Getreide, Salami, Han, Käse und heißem Buffet; Bacon, Sauce Eier! Rollen und süße Gewürze so viel zu wählen. Frische Kaffee und Tee sowie eine Auswahl von Saft.... Für den Preis war es guten Wert.

Wir haben das Hotel 2x während unserer Portugalreise als Zwischenűbernachtung gebucht. Positiv zu erwähnen ist das nette Personal an der Rezeption, welches sehr jung und sehr bemüht ist, einen professionellen Eindruck zu vermitteln. Die Lage des Hotels ist natürlich toll, mit einem herrlichen Ausblick von der Terrasse auf die Stadt und das Meer. Allerdings wurde die Außenterasse nicht ”bekellnert”. Wir haben uns zuvor von den Fotos auf TripAdvisor beeinflussen lassen. Dies sind überwiegend professionelle Fotos auf denen natürlich keine unschönen Details zu erkennen sind. Das erste als auch unser zweites Zimmer war sehr abgenutzt und gerade das Badezimmer war an der Grenze zu ekelhaft. Schimmel, abgewetzte Seifenspender, noch deutlich erkennbare Wasserschäden an der Decke, kaputte Armaturen..... Und noch mehr. Zudem sind die Zimmer SEHR! hellhörig!!! Wenn oben jemand läuft, oder irgendwo auf dem Flur eine Tür geschlossen wird (leise schließen leider auch nicht möglich) sitzt man senkrecht im Bett. Balkontűr war bei beiden Zimmer nicht abschließbar. Die Badezimmertűr ließ sich übrigens auch nicht weiter schließen, musste ungefähr 15cm offen bleiben (Intimsphäre?!) Die Betten waren dafür relativ bequem. Das Hotel hat definitiv mehr Potential. Wir würden es nicht empfehlen, auch wenn es relativ günstig ist.
