Absolutely amazing hotel located in a stunning location with a beautiful view. We were in the lakeside facing room with a picturesque view. Celeste at reception was friendly and professional. Every staff we've come across were professional and polite. We loved the pianist and the vibe in the lounge bar. A lot of vegetarian options available at breakfast. One of the nicest breakfast I've had in Ireland as a vegetarian person. Would definitely recommend the hotel.

We loved the whole experience. The whole place is spotless and the staff are very friendly and welcoming. Well worth a visit I cannot say enough about the staff they are so professional and so friendly. We will definitely be back again.

Rredsquid2019Wir waren im Oktober für ein paar Tage im Lake Hotel. Das Hotel ist schon ein bisschen in die Jahre gekommen und man könnte überlegeb, ob man ein wenigh in die Zimmer investieren skönnte ( Badfliesen, Teppiche)ist aber aich nicht überrissen teuer. Es ist sehr ruhig nachts, wir haben hervorragend geschlafen.Das Personal ist sehr sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Essen lecker und für Familien ist das Hotel sehr gut geeignet. Wir kamen nach dem Reten sehr nass zurück und unsere saxchen wurden sofort in einen Trockenraum gebracht. Morgens um 5 konnten wir Hirsche direkt vor unserem Fenster beobachten. Wir hatten dort ein tolle Zeit.

BBatchelorDieses Hotel ist eine gute Lage für den Ring von Kerry und den Besuch der Dingle Peninsula. Es ist auch etwa 15-minute Spaziergang in der Stadt, und es gibt eine lokale Brauerei wenige Blocks entfernt mit wirklich guten Bier. Wenn Sie fahren, ist die Parkplätze ziemlich klein, mit begrenzten Räumen. Personal war freundlich und das Zimmer war sauber, obwohl wenn Sie im Sommer besuchen, die Klimaanlage ist begrenzt. Wie bei den meisten europäischen Hotels gibt es keinen Kaffee in der Lobby am Morgen, aber es gibt einen bequemen Laden über die Straße mit wirklich guten Kaffee. Wenn wir Killarney wieder besuchen, würden wir sicherlich den Aufenthalt im Dromhall überdenken.

A wonderful hotel, well situated in Killarney. Near all bars and restaurants. Staff were exceptional, very efficient and professional especially breakfast staff. Unfortunately we didn’t have dinner but breakfast was top class, buffet well stocked with a lovely selection. Hot breakfast was delicious. Our room was large and very comfortable. A little treat for golfers was the putting game in our room. Well worth a stay.

Just returned from a 3 night stay in the Great Southern Hotel Killarney, arriving New Year’s Eve. We were returning guests from many years ago so we weren’t sure what to expect. My husband was celebrating a December birthday and we were delighted to be given a beautiful room 380. A bottle of bubbly and some treats along with a personalised card were waiting in our beautiful room, which had its own fabulous Christmas tree, and gorgeous views. New years was amazing with live music following a lovely meal. It was a pleasure to see the old out and the new in at this lovely venue. Breakfast is fabulous with something delicious for everyone’s taste. The highlight for me was the professionalism of all the staff. From the staff at breakfast, the staff at dinner, the barman, the waiting staff, the hard working staff looking after the rooms, the staff at the leisure centre and the friendly welcoming staff at the entrance, and reception. A great team all working together to make guests happy. Nothing was to much trouble and the hotel was full including 2 weddings but the staff were amazing and did a great job. Overall our stay at the Great Southern Hotel was a very enjoyable experience. Anna & Noel Egan.

Nnohassle1956Good and not so good. The location is nice outside of town. Plenty of free parking. Check in smooth with a friendly desk clerk. We were tired and had a bite to eat in the restaurant. Very nice. The food was good. Room was nice. Big tub and shower. We both took long baths after hiking 7 miles during the day. Wifi was fast and stayed constantly connected. They gave us a fan to move the air around. That was nice. The fan had a timer on it and would only stay on 2 hours at a time. Weird. The room had a single bed and a full bed. When we got in to bed we sunk into the middle. It was like sleeping in a hammock. My wife ditched me and went to the single bed. You could hear any noise from the other rooms and from the hallway. Bottom line not a good night's sleep. The breakfast in the morning was good. Killarney was booked the weekend we were there and we were only able to get 1 night at the Killarney oaks hotel. Turned out to be a blessing.

Das Frühstück hat keine Wünsche offen gelassen. Es war alles sehr sauber. Das Entertainmentprogramm ist toll, daher sind auch viele Familien mit Kinder im Hotel. Da es außerhalb des Zentrums liegt, gibt es wenig Lärm. Man kann das Zentrum zu Fuß oder mit dem Bus gut erreichen.

The hotel itself is lovely, and in a great location for walking to downtown. However, there are major communication problems with hotel staff. We attempted to book a two bed room for 3 people — per the descriptions online, the room should have been able to sleep 3 people, as there was one single and one double bed. After being unable to book the room online, we called the hotel directly to book the room, and were told it would be no problem. We never received an email confirmation or booking number, so two emails and a phone call later, when we received the confirmation booking for only 2 people, we were concerned. Two more emails and yet another phone call later, we were told a third person would be added at no additional charge. When we got to the hotel, checking in was easy. We were unable to park in the car park for the hotel, but were able to temporarily park in the set down spot to drop out our bags, then found parking at the sister lot, which was quite close. Unfortunately, the check in clerk neglected to mention that breakfast was included in our stay, in fact, telling us that the breakfast would be billed to the room, so we did not utilize it any of the three days we stayed here. The room was huge, and well maintained. The pool was somewhat lackluster, but the steam and sauna rooms really made up for it. Finally, upon checkout, we were billed for the third person. Overall a lovely hotel if you have extra money to waste!

Excellent location. The room was very spacious with two beds which were very comfortable and the room temperature could be easily adjusted. Very clean bathroom and shower. The staff were efficient and friendly. I stay here on many occasions for work and I love the food especially the breakfast buffet, this hotel is one of my favourite hotels to stay in when I am working in the Kerry area. I would highly recommend it to anyone. There are shops a short walking distance from the hotel and the town centre is only a short drive or Taxi ride away. Well worth a visit and this hotel is exceptionally good value especially given the standard of the room and the excellent breakfast. Well done to all the staff for making it an enjoyable stay.
