Dieses Hotel ist eine gute Lage für den Ring von Kerry und den Besuch der Dingle Peninsula. Es ist auch etwa 15-minute Spaziergang in der Stadt, und es gibt eine lokale Brauerei wenige Blocks entfernt mit wirklich guten Bier. Wenn Sie fahren, ist die Parkplätze ziemlich klein, mit begrenzten Räumen. Personal war freundlich und das Zimmer war sauber, obwohl wenn Sie im Sommer besuchen, die Klimaanlage ist begrenzt. Wie bei den meisten europäischen Hotels gibt es keinen Kaffee in der Lobby am Morgen, aber es gibt einen bequemen Laden über die Straße mit wirklich guten Kaffee. Wenn wir Killarney wieder besuchen, würden wir sicherlich den Aufenthalt im Dromhall überdenken.

Absolutely amazing hotel located in a stunning location with a beautiful view. We were in the lakeside facing room with a picturesque view. Celeste at reception was friendly and professional. Every staff we've come across were professional and polite. We loved the pianist and the vibe in the lounge bar. A lot of vegetarian options available at breakfast. One of the nicest breakfast I've had in Ireland as a vegetarian person. Would definitely recommend the hotel.

Highly recommend here. Check-in was quick & informative (Loui). The room was spotless with toilitries, tea, coffee, iron, hairdryer, jacozzi bath. etc. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast buffet was delicious, a huge variety of options! The staff were attentive, and the dining area is comfortable and cosy. We dined in the bar, and our group were happy with their choice. I had the fish and chips, and it was delicious. All staff from reception to housekeeping were friendly, professional & courteous. Some of our group did use the leasure centre & were very complimentary about it.

The hotel itself is lovely, and in a great location for walking to downtown. However, there are major communication problems with hotel staff. We attempted to book a two bed room for 3 people — per the descriptions online, the room should have been able to sleep 3 people, as there was one single and one double bed. After being unable to book the room online, we called the hotel directly to book the room, and were told it would be no problem. We never received an email confirmation or booking number, so two emails and a phone call later, when we received the confirmation booking for only 2 people, we were concerned. Two more emails and yet another phone call later, we were told a third person would be added at no additional charge. When we got to the hotel, checking in was easy. We were unable to park in the car park for the hotel, but were able to temporarily park in the set down spot to drop out our bags, then found parking at the sister lot, which was quite close. Unfortunately, the check in clerk neglected to mention that breakfast was included in our stay, in fact, telling us that the breakfast would be billed to the room, so we did not utilize it any of the three days we stayed here. The room was huge, and well maintained. The pool was somewhat lackluster, but the steam and sauna rooms really made up for it. Finally, upon checkout, we were billed for the third person. Overall a lovely hotel if you have extra money to waste!

Das Frühstück hat keine Wünsche offen gelassen. Es war alles sehr sauber. Das Entertainmentprogramm ist toll, daher sind auch viele Familien mit Kinder im Hotel. Da es außerhalb des Zentrums liegt, gibt es wenig Lärm. Man kann das Zentrum zu Fuß oder mit dem Bus gut erreichen.

We booked the Royal suite room in Killarney Royal Hotel for a night's stay. I must say the staff is very friendly, sweet and hospitable. We were welcomed to the room with loads of tasty treats. The room is huge and upto very high standards. Very cozy. We ordered food to the room, which was very delicious. The breakfast options and spread were amazing! The hotel is in the centre of the town, which is an ideal location. Very close to the Killarney national park where one has a many spots for sight seeing.

Absolutely beautiful hotel, with everything you need to see literally on your door step. Rooms are fantastic and cleaned daily. Ratio of staff to guest is impressive, now very multicultural. If you find a ”local” member of staff they can give you the run down on suggestions for restaurants outside of the hotel. Will definitely revisit soon.

Great staff !! awesome ! Especially Jiri, Tonvi and Roisin. Truly made you feel very welcome, comfortable, and happy. Immaculate hotel, and in best spot of downtown Killarney, where it is starting point for walking to the amazing surrounding areas. Definitely will be back and stay at the Killarney Plaza Hotel.

GGuest UserWir waren zum 3. Mal in diesem tollen Hotel, diesmal 2 Wochen. Tolle Lage/Zimmer, tolles Ambiente, so wie man sich ein Hotel in Irland vorstellt in dieser Kategorie. Etwas seltsam fanden wir, dass wir jeden Tag explizit den Room-Service bestellen mussten (Schutz vor Corona), aber andererseits die Wellness-Behandlungen stattfinden konnten, ist man während dieser Behandlungen nicht näher am Kunden als die Reinigungskraft? An manchen Tagen wurde das Zimmer aber, trotz ”Bestellung”, nicht ordentlich gereinigt, es wurden nur schnell die Handtücher auf die Toilette gelegt, sanitäre Anlagen nicht gereinigt.... 2x sonntags teilte man uns an der Rezeption mit, dass die Reinigungskräfte krank seien, das kann man glauben oder nicht, dass am Wochenende die Reinigungskräfte zufällig 2x krank sind, am Haupt-Abreise bzw. Anreisetag. Da hätte man ehrlicher sein können, schließlich bezahlt man ja auch jeden Tag den gleichen Preis und dann erwartet man den entsprechenden Service, auch wenn das Hotel voll belegt ist. Super Ablauf allerdings, trotz des Betriebs, in der Bar, das möchten wir noch betonen. Kein Chaos, sehr gute Organisation, sehr freundliches Personal, beim Frühstück auch. Trotz des kleinen Ärgernisses, kommen wir gern wieder.

GGuest UserDas wunderbare Haus ist in der Tat in die Jahre gekommen. Eine aussenseitige Auffrischung würde sicherlich nicht schaden. Das Zimmer, welches wir hatten, war sauber und hatte einen gediegenen Sitzplatz, welcher man mit Blick ins Grüne geniessen konnte. Ein grosser Abschreiber muss ich beim Frühstück machen. Erst ab 8 Uhr wird bedient. Da es kein Buffet gibt, bestellt man ab Karte. Wenn eine Reisegruppe und die übrigen Hotelgäste alle um diese Zeit das Frühstück einnehmen wollen, mutiert das Ganze zum mühseligen Wartsaal. Sehr ungeeignet, wenn man auf Reise ist und den Tag möglichst ausnützen will. Zuerst wird die Gruppe bedient und dann erst die übrigen Gäste. So mussten wir geschlagene 20 Minuten warten, bis wir endlich den Kaffee serviert erhielten. Und nochmals mindestens 10 Minuten, bis wir unsere Omelette auf dem Tisch hatten. Das Toast, welches unkoordiniert gerbracht wurde, war mittlerweile kalt. Das ganze gipfelte in einem riesigen Wirrwarr an herumeilendem, nervösen Personal, was die sonst so schöne Atmosphäre der Räumlichkeit völlig zerstörte. Aus unserer Sicht sollte sich das Management Gedanken machen, ob es nicht sinnvoller ist, ein kleines Buffet zu errichten, damit alles weniger gestresst bewerkstelligt werden kann.

We had dinner (7 of us....4 adults, 3 kids) in the bar last night. The manager/supervisor Evelyn (I think her name was) and our waitress Olya, could not have been any more helpful with moving tables for us, being patient taking orders and interacting with our noisy children! The service was great and food was perfect. My very picky parents absolutely loved the food...we all enjoyed! Credit where credit is due, nowadays people are very quick to criticise so high praise to the two girls and of course the chef!

A very friendly and comfortable old fashioned local hotel. The room was small and cozy with a very comfortable bed. The bathroom was updated with a shower/tub and was spotless. The biggest attraction is the friendliness of the staff, a lovely breakfast menu served with smiles and a great bar with good local Irish music every night. The location is perfect to explore Killarney with lots of restaurants within walking distance to include a fabulous seafood restaurant next door. This is a lovely place to stay in every way.

Nnohassle1956Good and not so good. The location is nice outside of town. Plenty of free parking. Check in smooth with a friendly desk clerk. We were tired and had a bite to eat in the restaurant. Very nice. The food was good. Room was nice. Big tub and shower. We both took long baths after hiking 7 miles during the day. Wifi was fast and stayed constantly connected. They gave us a fan to move the air around. That was nice. The fan had a timer on it and would only stay on 2 hours at a time. Weird. The room had a single bed and a full bed. When we got in to bed we sunk into the middle. It was like sleeping in a hammock. My wife ditched me and went to the single bed. You could hear any noise from the other rooms and from the hallway. Bottom line not a good night's sleep. The breakfast in the morning was good. Killarney was booked the weekend we were there and we were only able to get 1 night at the Killarney oaks hotel. Turned out to be a blessing.

Excellent location. The room was very spacious with two beds which were very comfortable and the room temperature could be easily adjusted. Very clean bathroom and shower. The staff were efficient and friendly. I stay here on many occasions for work and I love the food especially the breakfast buffet, this hotel is one of my favourite hotels to stay in when I am working in the Kerry area. I would highly recommend it to anyone. There are shops a short walking distance from the hotel and the town centre is only a short drive or Taxi ride away. Well worth a visit and this hotel is exceptionally good value especially given the standard of the room and the excellent breakfast. Well done to all the staff for making it an enjoyable stay.

Wir waren neben der Hauptbar auf der Essensstufe, die schön war, als unsere Tische, obwohl angemessen entfernt, nahe genug zueinander, um immer noch zu fühlen, wie wir eine Gruppe waren! Tanya und das Team im Restaurant waren so auf jeden Antrag zugeschnitten und das Essen und die Cocktails waren Top-Class.
