I haven't had much experience at all in backpackers but I was impressed with the Civic Guesthouse. The staff have mostly been very friendly, accomodating and helpful, and the general atmosphere really positive and safe which is awesome. They have a good cleaning routine so the place is in good condition and maintained really well. It's in a great location and has all the amenities/facilities you need. Noise management is handled really well with a nighttime quiet rule. One negative comment I will make is that there is not really a system at all for recyclable items. There is just one bin for recyclables such as drinks cans but aside from that all waste goes into the general bins/landfill and this is pretty soul-crushing since there are so many people coming and going and therefore so much waste disposed of in this way. It would be great to have an improved system for this to sort waste and educate people in the process to be aware of where they are getting rid of their waste. Otherwise, thank you Civic for a great backpacking experience!

Excellent service, clean and conveniently located. I was really impressed with the personal service from the Manager, Kylie. I found the Quest and excellent choice for business travel. Getting access late at night was easy and the room was quiet and well appointed.

Great place to stay. A little dated, but staff were exceptional and let me check in early, the unit was spacious, clean and comfortable, it had a full size fridge and kitchen and plenty of room. Minor criticisms would be that people in 2 bedroom units have free access to washing machines and dryers whilst people in 1 bedroom units have to use coin operated ones, and the TV was a bit on the small size. It is within walking distance of The Strand and shops. I would he happy to stay again and happy to recommend

MMichael FInitially sent to the wrong room but the desk staff sorted it. The views are great of either the ocean or marina. We had an ocean view , also overlooked the pool. The place is actually quiet considering its also a ****** and popular restaurants. The staff very friendly and helpful. We stayed 3 nights and can recommend this hotel for a couple or family stay. It's close to the strand and easy walking to lots of cafes , restaurants and the beach side walk.

Arrivata qui con un viaggio di gruppo. Stanze comode, non molto grandi ma ben curate e pulite. Unica cosa che non dispone di stanze doppie solo con letti matrimoniali. Peccato che non dispone di un ascensore, il problema salire alle stanze con le valige. Il bagno bello ma non molto spazioso. Si può disporre di una sala palestra, e della piscina situata sul tetto dell'hotel. La colazione alla carta, questo se sei in gruppo , non essendo a buffet può essere un limite , a parer mio da rivalutare, anche percè quello che viene offerto è molto buono.

GGuest UserUnser erstes Hotel in diesem Hotel, das gute Werte und sichere, kostenlose Untergrundparkplätze bietet. Andere Hotels zahlen eine zusätzliche Gebühr zum Parken, so dass wir sehr zufrieden waren, direkt von dem Park zum Empfang über den Aufzug zu gehen. Nett sauber und komfortabel.

GGuest UserEcht erstaunlich Aufenthalt, genossen von den Einrichtungen (insbesondere der Fitnessraum! Das einzige, was über den Fitnessraum geht, ist, dass für die Gewichtsabschnitt es keine Art von Spiegel zu sehen, aber insgesamt war erstaunlich). Auch, liebte den Fernseher, und in der Lage zu sehen und zu hören, unsere eigene Art von Dingen, wirklich cool. Wäre sicher wieder hier, zweifellos! Danke Palmer!

Think twice before booking this hotel. The room I stayed in felt dated and despite arriving in summer no fan or airconditioner had been turned on for me. Reception doesn't open until 9am and closes at 5pm. Outside of these hours you need to complete an online form and wait for confirmation which only comes an hour or so before arrival (I had to ring to confirm arrangements as I was concerned that I wouldn't be able to check in). Another online form is required to be completed if check out is needed before 9am. Prior to my stay I enquired about the gym and was told the treadmill was broken. I went to use the gym to discover it wasn't accessible until 9am despite the compendium indicating gym opened from 7am-7pm (even these hours aren't convenient for business travellers). When attempting to leave my floor the lift was held up for quite awhile by trades people arriving and holding it to stack materials, they indicated on the way up they'd be holding it for another 10 minutes before it would return!

JJolly JThe staff at Rambutan are very friendly and helpful. I felt very welcome. The rooftop, poolside restaurant is fantastic with its excellent and varied selection of dishes and is so popular with the public that I found it necessary to book my favourite table on the balcony looking over the town. The wonderful staff members speak many languages. Flying up solo from the Victorian winter I was dismayed to find myself in a cramped room, looking onto a blank wall, so dark I needed the light on. I had probably ticked 'accessible' which meant all the rooms reached by the lift which all face the blank wall around the pool. I expressed my disappointment to reception and was immediately and gratefully moved to a room, up a flight of stairs but looking down onto the pool and restaurant, as pictured. The rooms are small, filled up with enormous beds so that there is no way to unpack a suitcase. I needed a comfy chair. Rambutan is well within walking distance of the passenger ferry, The Strand, Anzac Park, and the centre of the city, surrounded by restaurants, and just 2 blocks from all the shops.

JJenny TDieses Hotel wurde durch lastminute.com (sie sind nächster auf der Liste der Bewertungen) reserviert und während der Rezeptionszeiten aufgetreten, die wir dachten. Offensichtlich schließt an 6. Es muss warten, bis jemand uns in OR kommen reservieren, um durch das Hotel zu gehen, um sie zu finden. Nach dem 6. Ankunft war es ein ernstes Problem, und wir wurden in den falschen Raum gesetzt. Trotz der Versuche, das zu lösen, warten wir noch 45 Minuten später auf ein geeignetes Zimmer, das wir gebucht hatten. Ich hatte ein Familienzimmer speziell für das Bett von 1 Königin und 2 Singles gebucht (für meinen Sohn, Großmutter und mich), aber ich hatte unwillkürlich vernachlässigt, das Kind in die Buchung zu setzen, und das scheint dem Hotel das Recht zu geben, um die Reservierungen und geben ihnen ein Zimmer, das sie ”denken” ist angemessen. Nicht gut genug. In diesem Stadium habe ich eine Erstattung beantragt (und es war versichert, dass dies passieren würde) und wir gingen und reservierten in einem anderen Hotel. Ich habe seitdem Kontakt mit dem Hotel genommen, und sie akzeptieren keine Verantwortung, und haben sich weigert, zurückzuzahlen, weil sie ein Zimmer für 2 Erwachsene lieferten und das ist alles, was sie tun mussten. Sie dachten, ich wollte ein Familienzimmer für den Teufel. Während wir dort warten, war es auch ein anderer Herr, der versuchte, sich anzumelden, und nach dem ganzen Tag wurde ihm gesagt, er müsse ins Spielzimmer gehen und sortiert werden. MwSt, was wir sahen, als wir warten, dass Zimmer sortiert werden, war, dass das Zimmer gefangen, Türen nicht geschlossen und waren extrem grundlegende. Machen Sie sich einen Gefallen und Buch in einem der anständigen Orte in der Stadt.

From previous reviews I thought no way, well how wrong was I. Great location. Clean and large. Amazing staff. Great whistle stop for us. Our four legged mate was very welcomed. Ground floor unit. Even meet a gentleman who travels with his galah on business. Staff welcomed us both with open arms. Pool is fabulous. Price reflects older establishment but they are caring for this old girl. We would definitely stay again. Only downside was the mattresses probably need replacing but are still very comfortable, had a great sleep. Thank you Robert Town 👌👌👌
