Hotel Centre Point

We were on family vacation in Shillong, Cherapunji & Dawki in December 2024. We stayed at Hotel Centre Point for two nights on Dec 5-7, 2024. Had a great experience at the Hotel. Staff was very co-operative, the location is superb. Breakfast had comparatively good spread and staff in the restaurant was eager to help. Good eating options in the vicinity of 500 meters. All in all, great experience and worth repeating.

IT'S A SCAM HOTEL, AVOID !! I booked a special category room which is a suite but they gave me the lowest category that too in the adjoining hotel which they have misrepresented as center point. No explanation given just that they don't have any other rooms available!! I asked for a refund or cancellation but was met with blank stares from the horrible reception guy and the general manager. Don't think they were able to understand English properly. The room was filthy, no ventilation, washrooms were messy and not cleaned before, bed hard and unclean. And to top it all- the AC didn't work for my entire stay and this is a health hazard as there's no ventilation. I was so suffocated that I left early just for some air!! AVOID UNLESS YOU WANT TO GET SCAMMED OF 8K INR FOR ONE STAR FACILITIES AND SERVICE

Location of hotel is very good. Comfortable rooms and amenities. Staff is very cooperative. Food is amazing. Special thanks to Front office manager Pawan Ji, who take care of each and every thing. He guided us in so many manner and helped us a lot.

I have been staying at the Center Point Hotel in Shillong for the past three days and would like to provide some feedback on my experience. While the hotel itself is impressive, and the rooms are comfortable and well-maintained, I have encountered significant issues with the Food and Beverage staff. Unfortunately, the F&B staff have been consistently unresponsive and often ignore requests. This has been the case during both breakfast and dinner services. Whenever I ask for something, their initial response is almost always a flat "no," without any attempt to accommodate or explain. I believe that attentive and courteous service is a critical component of a pleasant stay, and this has sadly been lacking.

The hotel is nicely made with a lot of woodwork being used. Sadly the ergonomics is totally off. The room layout is odd with a door separation between two rooms. The noise levels as a result are extremely high. Couldn't sleep a wink due to noisy neighbours. In the peak of winter, hot water was unavailable in taps. The response from the reception for any issue takes atleast 20 minutes to address. Couldn't get a wifi password despite repeatedly asking.

Rooms are small and in cold winter a thin comforter provided not a cozy room in comparison to tariff hotel is in very very chaotic place and if any one want to relax he or she can not relax room is small also
