Seneca Clipper Inn

The pictures of this motel do not accurately represent the motel. As soon as you walk into the office to check in, you can smell a moldy smell. Not pleasant at all. We were given a room on the second floor. When we got to the door that went upstairs, the door was broken with sharp edges on the bottom that could easily cut a leg or foot. The stairs going up were narrow, steep, and the carpet old and stained with the same musty smell that was in the office. The room smelled as well. The TV cable remote needed batteries (minor issue) , the window air conditioner was very old and every time it came on the lights would dim for a minute. The sheets had not been changed as they had a couple of long black hairs from the last customer, and I found them also on the floor of the bathroom. All the rooms need a paint job. The pros - the bed was comfortable, and the refrigerator was clean, the bathroom sink, and tub appeared clean although there was dirt around the bottom of the toilet, and it didn't appear to be bolted to the floor because it rocked a little. The young man at the desk was pleasant and helpful. We thought about going elsewhere but since we were only there for one night, we decided to stay but we won't go back.

The hotel is very clean & comfortable. The couple Alex & Mary who run the hotel are extremely friendly & helpful. They go above & beyond to help you. We asked about places to have dinner & they named some, they were all great restaurants. I'd definitely recommend staying there.
