We stayed for 3 nights in this hotel. It is well located in Sintra and presents very nicely (modern lobby decor, good views, large rooms), however we found the service at this hotel inadequate in the following respects: 1. Parking. We came to Sintra in a hire car. I chose this hotel because the booking.com website said that private parking was possible on site at a cost that we were willing to pay. I emailed the hotel before our arrival to arrange for parking but they never replied to my email. When we arrived there was no parking anywhere near the hotel so we parked a long distance away. When we reached the hotel I asked about on site parking and was told that none was available due to a private event being held at the hotel which was scheduled to finish by 8pm that evening. The woman at reception was very haughty and unhelpful, when I asked whether we could get a parking spot after 8pm she just dismissed my request. We ended up leaving our hire car parked a fair way away which was OK for us as we are used to hiking long distances uphill but if you have any mobility issues or are with young children this situation would be a nightmare. 2. On our third day our bath towels were not changed until I specifically asked at reception at about 5pm. Apparently they had had a problem in the laundry. When bath towels were finally delivered they were damp. 3. The toilet in our room took an unusually long time to refill after flushing. 4. The holders for the bath wash, shampoo and conditioner in the shower were very flimsy, one of them fell off as soon as I applied for some soap. If I were to revisit Sintra I would look for somewhere else to stay.

Ich habe es besucht, weil es ein historisches Hotel war, aber es war klassisch und zufriedenstellend in allen Teilen. Es war eine wirklich gute Erfahrung, weil der Manager an der Rezeption professionell war und jeder elegant war, sowie das Frühstück, das Abendessen und empfohlenen Wein.

Privates Hotel im Herrenhausstil, 2 Etagen, luxuriös und ruhig, Seidenwandverkleidung, ein Klavier mit mehr als 100 Jahren Geschichte und andere Antiquitäten. Das Hotel liegt 5 Gehminuten vom Regalera Manor in Sintra entfernt. Es gibt kostenlose Parkplätze und die Zimmer verfügen über Warmwasser- und Teekannen. Das Frühstück ist reichhaltig und einige sind Silberbesteck. Das Hotel stellte uns kostenlos ein Zustellbett zur Verfügung. Als wir abreisten, schickten wir drei Flaschen Wasser. Die Angestellten waren begeistert und akribisch. Sie waren sauber und hygienisch. Der Pool hatte am ersten Tag viele Laubblätter und wurde am nächsten Tag aufgeräumt. Es ist sehr interessant, dass sich im zweiten Stock des Hotels vier Pfauen befinden. Empfohlenes Hotel!

Mehr als ein Wochenendeurlaub, auf der Terrasse zu Frühstück, vor den riesigen Bergen, können Sie die wichtigsten Palasts und Teppichgarten von Sintra entfernt sein. Das Frühstück ist reichhaltig, insbesondere das Brot ist noch heiß, der Geschmack ist sehr gut, es wird von den Bauern des Dorfes bestellt. 10 Minuten vom Zentrum zu Fuß, ist das empfohlene Restaurant großartig. Es gibt einen kostenlosen Parkplatz. Die portugiesische Stadt scheint nicht einfach zu fahren in der Stadt, ein wenig nach unten, ein wenig nach unten, das Auto im Hotel zu Fuß oder Uber zu Attraktionen und Restaurants zu parken. Der Hotelservice ist auch sehr geduldig und bietet Ihnen die Hilfe, die Sie brauchen. Wenn Sie im Sommer noch in schönem Freibad schwimmen können.

We had a great time during our 5 night stay at the Vila Gale Sintra. I’ll start with the pros of the resort. The property itself is beautiful. The pools, the scenery around the hotel are amazing. The family room layout was great for us. It was essentially what appeared to be what used to be two rooms combined into one. The large balcony was great for sitting out at night. The sunset was spectacular from our room. The kids activities were great as my kids got to enjoy the carousel, playground and trampoline park. Be aware though that they only open these at certain times throughout the day. The breakfast was great and had a ton of selections. There were a few cons, the first was the buffet dinner. It was quite expensive at 29 euros per person and the options werent great. They only really had one meat and one fish that they were cooking and there was a line to wait in if you wanted it. We only ate dinner there the first night. The room was partially refurbished. The carpet looked older and the sliding door within the room kept coming off the tracks. And the bathroom was a little odd in that the vanity was open to the rest of the room. So if someone needed to use the lights for it they would light potentially wake up the person in the room if they were sleeping. Then the WiFi, while it worked well for the most part, kept having to reconnect to the network. This happened on both my phone and iPad several times each day while I was there. The location of the hotel has its pluses and minuses. It is a quiet resort away from the city of Sintra. And it’s also located in a place that makes it easy to get to the beach and Colares. But there isn’t anything else right around the hotel so you need to rent a car or take an Uber to get around. We took and Uber and it did work pretty well. Nothing is within walking distance and the nearest bus stop is a 20-30 minute walk away.

Wir wollten ursprünglich im Sintra Bliss Hotel übernachten, das aber z.Zt. (Nov. 2021) geschlossen ist. Die Hotelleitung bot uns eine Umbuchung in das Sintra Boutique Hotel an und wir haben es keine Sekunde bereut. Gerade bei zunehmender Dunkelheit und im Feierabendverkehr war die Anfahrt eine Herausforderung. Aber ab dem Moment, als das Auto (in zweiter Reihe) vor dem Hotel stand, brauchten wir uns um nichts mehr zu kümmern. Der umwerfend hilfsbereite und nette Mitarbeiter an der Rezeption hat alles weitere in die Wege geleitet - einen so warmherzigen und freundlichen Empfang haben wir selten in einem Hotel erlebt. Die Tipps von den beiden Mitarbeitern an der Rezeption für Ausflüge und Erkundungen (Montserrate, Q.d.Regaleira) waren Gold wert, die unermüdlichen Versuche, uns bei einem technischen Problem zu helfen, ebenfalls: ein toller Service, danke dafür. Unser Zimmer war sehr geräumig und gemütlich und dank der guten Verglasung auch erstaunlich ruhig, obwohl es zur Straße hin gelegen war. Einzig der Frühstücksraum passte m.E. nicht zum Stil des Hotels, der Raum wirkte eher wie ein Schnellimbiss, aber das mag auch persönliche Geschmackssache sein. Dafür war die Qualität des Frühstücks ausgeprochen gut. Uns hat es im Sintra Boutique Hotel sehr gut gefallen, wir würden jederzeit gern wiederkommen und können das Hotel wirklich empfehlen.

Nachdem wir in anderen Quinta in Portugal geschlafen haben, warten wir auf ein Hotel etwas höher, also etwas enttäuscht. Es ist eher ein Hotelzimmer, 2 oder 3 Epis Gîte de France, wenn Sie wissen: so komfortable und schön, aber einfach. Und hier, ohne die Bequemlichkeit eines Hotelzimmers. Wir waren enttäuscht von der Aufnahme: Es war schwer, den Ort zu finden (kein Aufstiegs- und ein ganz kleines Panel vor dem Eingang), man ruft auf das Portal, Wir fahren zweimal um das Haus, bevor wir jemanden wechseln. Sie spricht Französisch und Englisch, das ist gut, wir fahren den Zimmerschlüssel und ein altes Fotofoto mit der Liste der nahe gelegenen Restaurants und Orte, die zu besuchen sind, Wir haben den Frühstückszeitpunkt mit der Veranda angezeigt, und das ist alles. Und beim Auschecken war es noch einfacher: Wir konnten niemand finden, also haben wir den Schlüssel hinterlassen und sind weg. - es ist auf dem Land, also ruhig und nicht zu weit (obligatorisches Auto) zu besuchen Sintra - schöne Terrasse mit nicht erwärmtem Pool - Kühlschrank in freiem Zugang in der Veranda: auf Vertrauen basiert, Sie nehmen Getränke und bezahlen in der Schachtel oder beim Abgang - das Frühstückspersonal war sehr hilfreich MINDEST: - offen einzeln, also 4-5km Auto, bevor Sie etwas zu essen finden - komfortable Betten, aber scharfe Zimmer und Badezimmer, und Sehr nass: Unsere Handtücher sind in 2 Tagen geschwürt - kein verrücktes Frühstück: für ein Hotelzimmer warten wir besser WARNUNG, wenn Sie das Palast von Sintra besuchen, lesen Sie die Bewertungen und Ratschläge von TripAdvisor vor, Denn es ist wirklich von der Welt bewaffnet (der Schreck!), also ist es besser, sich zu organisieren.

Das Gästehaus liegt sehr zentral in der schönen Altstadt von Sintra, in der es tagsüber nur so wimmelt vor Touristen, abends aber sehr schön ruhig ist. Das Frühstück ist mehr als ausreichend und es gibt immer Kuchen, der auch tagsüber verfügbar ist. Sehr schwierig bis unmöglich ist das Parken in der Nähe. Das Auto muss recht weit weg abgestellt werden und der Fussweg mit Gepäck ist zu weit, so dass auf Taxi, Uber oder nicht ganz einfach zu durchschauende öffentliche Busse zurückgegriffen werden muss. Nicht gefallen hat uns das Bett in unserem Zimmer. Auf der Buchungsbestätigung war ein Doppelzimmer abgebildet mit einem normalen Doppelbett in der Mitte des Zimmers. Erhalten haben wir ein Zimmer, in dem lediglich eine dicke Matratze ohne Rost auf einem ca 5 cm hohen Holzbrett in einer Ecke des Zimmers lag. Dadurch war die Schlafstelle sehr niedrig, schmal, weich und nur von einer Seite zugänglich. Auf unsere Nachfrage erhielten wir die Antwort, dass es zwar Zimmer mit richtigen Betten gibt, diese aber zur Zeit nicht verfügbar sind. Anmerken möchten wir auch, dass nur vormittags bis in den frühen Nachmittag jemand vor Ort im Haus ist, davon war an einem unserer drei Übernachtungen eine Verständigung in englischer Sprache kaum möglich.

This is a perfect little spot for being a few blocks to the center of Sintra, yet a little off as to not get all the noise. The hostess here, Dulce, is a very kind, caring woman. My phone fell into the sink and stopped working. I travel alone and had no information to my next place. Dulce took the time to sit with me, let me use her personal phone and assured me that everything would be okay. She did absolutely everything she could for me. This is the place you want to stay if you are traveling alone and need assistance within daytime hours. Not sure about night but I am confident they would help within their capability. Please note, the houses are very old and you can hear the people above you. There was an elephant staying above me so, PLEASE be aware of the people below when you walk across the room. Or ask for a top floor ~ all stairs. I also wish there was a small fridge in the room. Overall, an excellent place to stay with caring people there to welcome you and bid you farewell. I would highly recommend staying here if not having a fridge isn't an issue.

Our family room at Sintra 1012 Boutique Guest house was beautifully appointed and well layed out to accomodate our stay. The location is convenient for the centre of Sintra, and it was easy to walk to restaurants and the National Palace. Breakfast was relatively simple though tasty and plentiful. While there are some logistical challenges in staying here, assoicated with being in the zone of a world heritage site, the team at 1012 make such an effort to accomodate their guests in the circumstances. The communication, for instance, before we arrived in terms of check in time and how to arrive was invaluable. We also appreciated the tips on how to travel around Sintra while we were staying there - we were there for a wedding - and how we could be collected by our driver when departing the town. I was especially grateful to the team that, when my room needed to be serviced (enitrely ”my bad” for spilling something), they did so promptly and pleasantly. The team at Sintra 1012 really worked hard to make our stay so comfortable and enjoyable. Thanks so much.
