Saint John Oia-Private Heated Pool Villas

My stay at St John Villas was a highlight of my trip to Greece. The Villa is beautifully appointed, breakfast was on point and Tassos is an amazing host. It's close to Oia but feels tucked away from the hustle and bustle. It's quiet and serene. I highly recommend!

This was the perfect location, right below the hustle and bustle of Oia, a short walk to the craziness, but a villa so perfect and so quiet, with the views of the water and sunsets, this is the #1 place to stay in all Santorini! The host is the best, always responsive, and always helpful. When we go back, we will stay here. It is clean, it is simple, and it is perfect!

From the time we got picked up to the ferry to getting dropped off at the airport, this was one of the most relaxing and enjoyable stays we have had in sometime (Covid excepted). The villas are excellent and provide a degree of privacy and calm to retreat to away from the chaotic crowds. You get the best of both worlds with being close enough to Oia to enjoy and then some space to unwind. Without a doubt, Tassos the host is extremely friendly, attentive and helpful from the time you book all the way through- thank you Tassos we really appreciated everything you did for us. All the restaurant recommendations were great too and Tassos will take care of all the bookings for you… Brekkie was great and if you’re up for it, the walk into Oia isn’t too bad - couple of steep bits but after you get your walking legs on, it’s not too bad or Tassos will more than help organise a ride if you don’t want to drive. We recommend getting some form of vehicle for Santorini, regardless of where you stay.

We stayed at Saint John Villas last September 2022 and it is still a holiday I think about a LOT. From the beginning, communication with Tassos was excellent. He helped us with transfers and booking excursions, particularly ones we knew would get booked up quick (he also found them at a much more competitive rate.) Everything was so well organised. When we arrived at the villa, Tassos was there to greet us (along with some fresh pizza and wine 😊) he gave us a quick tour and showed us how to use everything in the villa. The views were absolutely breathtaking and it was so calm and quiet. Perfect for a couples holiday. So clean, neat and tidy. Everything felt very well looked after and well thought through. Each morning he would arrive with breakfast, of your choice and your specified time… we chatted with him each morning about recommendations for things to do, Tassos really knew how we could get the best out of the island for the time that we were there. We decided to hire a car (which Tassos arranged for us and was great for us to explore) once we’d made a plan for the days ahead he sent a Google maps itinerary of the places we said we wanted to visit along with car parking spots. We stayed for a total of 4 nights and it was honestly the best holiday I have ever had. The villas are truly stunning along with the views, but what makes your stay here so enjoyable is Tassos. He truly cares about what he does and provides so much support throughout your stay whilst not being overbearing in the slightest. If there was a question we had or we wanted a recommendation for food etc a quick text and Tassos would respond straight away, he never steered us wrong. We will definitely be going back there without question!! If you are lucky enough to find this villa available then BOOK! I promise you, you won’t be disappointed. We loved it ♥️

We are just back from the most wonderful stay at Saint John’s this accommodation couldn’t be better it’s absolutely stunning. Tassos is the best host so helpful and couldn’t do enough for us. Delicious breakfast delivered every morning poolside, water, coffee etc topped up daily. We actually got engaged at sunset by the pool and it was breathtaking the sun sets behind the hills with a beautiful little church on it and Tassos was straight round with a bottle of champagne he had been chilling for us. Location is perfect for Oia if you still want some privacy and quiet as the Caldera is very crowded and busy but the villa is only a short walk away from Amoudi bay and Oia main centre. We walked a couple of times and other times Tassos arranged transport for us to Oia and Fira which again couldn’t be better Basically I can’t rate this place high enough a real hidden gem! My wife and I decided to island hop around Greece for our honeymoon, and we chose Saint John Villa's for our Santorini stint, and what a choice it was! The villa itself was incredible; spacious, modern, sleek, clean and so private. There is a nice private parking area and then your own entrance. Although next door to each other, the two villas are slightly set back from each other so you could literally not see another soul whilst staying here. There are no overlooking properties and the garden overlooks a nice green area with a view out to sea. Like the inside, the garden and patio area was modern and clean and the pool was amazing. We had hammocks and cool chairs/beds that float on the pool. We actually chose to explore Oia and Fira in the mornings and then relax by the pool for the rest of the day. The villa had its own Ipad with so much information on local activities, excursions, restaurants etc. The kitchen was well stocked with complimentary snacks and drink, and had luxury extras like a Bose radio. Then there is Tassos. What a guy. He text me well in advance of my stay to introduce himself, and even messaged a few days before arrival to advise of the local weather etc. He was ready to meet us as soon as we arrived and he had even taken it upon himself to order us a pizza as he knew we'd been up early to travel. Again he had reserved us a table at Thalami which is near impossible to get into. He told us it was the best table in one of the best restaurant's and I would have to agree. This restaurant was amazing and the views were breathtaking. As if this wasnt enough, after our meal the waiter bought over a dessert that Tassos had organised in advance for us as a treat! It was such a special evening and Tassos was a huge part of that. In fact, he was a huge part of our overall stay. We have never experienced such high class service before and we really felt like royalty. Talking to Tassos you can tell how passionate he is about his business and how happy he is to give his customers the best experiences. I honestly cant write enough how special this stay was. The only negative was that we had to leave. I would go back in a heartbeat and would say to anyone considering visiting Santorini, book this villa!! I am sure there are other nice villas in Oia, however it is very overlooked and congested and I can guarantee you will not get the personal service Tassos offers. This villa is a 10 minute walk away from the chaotic crowds of Oia, you'd be mad not to book here. Tassos and his property deserve all the praise they get and more. Words do not do this property justice, and I know this accommodation will be top rated for years to come. Thanks Tassos, see you again soon!
