Sweet Pop

The room was very clean and comfortable. The bed and pillows were perfect. Not a great pool though. The employees were exceptional! The walk or I should say “hike” was steep and intense down to the hotel. It was certainly a challenge.

The hotel is not on the Caldera but only a few meters away from the main road and therefore an excellent value for money. The caldera is a few minutes walk. A lot of car rentals close by , as well as good restaurants and cheap eats. The reception service was excellent. We were upgraded to a better room as there was availability which was greatly appreciated. We requested from the reception for transportation (additional charge 35euros) from the port to the hotel. We were met on the main road and we had help taking our luggage to the hotel. All the hotel rooms have nice views of the east part of the island. Also for our departure we requested transportation to the airport (30euro) and the private van was there waiting for us. Help was provided to carry the luggage up the steps. The steps are not that many but the last few are quite steep. Fira is full of steps anyway and may be part of its beauty.

My partner and me needed a hotel just for one night in Saturday. The next day we would go to an other island by seajet. We had a look on booking com and noticed the offers of the hotel. We went straight to the hotel to see what would be the best option/ room for us. There were a few offers on booking com with special price we had "genius status". We showed the lady on the reception the offers listed. She immediately phoned the manager of the hotel, then she had a communication via whats app. After that (2 minutes later) all the rooms of the hotels where suddenly booked, only a pricy suite was left! It's like the manager had canceled the cheap offers after the call. We had to pay 180€ for a suite, the cheaper ones were not avaible any more! The hotel was empty that day..all very strange. The suite was not a suite like the receptionist had promised, it was a little simple room! We were tired from the flight otherwise we would have left the place immediately. The next day we asked the receptionist for the receipt. The receptionist called the manager again and then told us, that we should leave our e mail adress so they would send us the receipt the same day. It did not happen as we had expected. Stay away from this "hotel" and these people. It's a scam! We would have given a negative review on booking com,but because we have paid in cash with no receipt, booking com did not register us as guests. It's like we have never been there.

Really decent accomodation. Close to the town centre and peaceful as set just down some steps from the main road. Reception staff were really friendly and the room was cleaned to a high standard each day :)

We were kindly allowed to check in much earlier than anticipated when we arrived at 11.30 on the morning of our stay, hoping to just drop our bags off for the afternoon. The room was modern and clean. The receptionist was very helpful when it came to organising boat trips, transfers etc. Location is very central, a short walk from the main square and coastal views of Fira. There are a number of steps to be ascended / descended to the property which is off the street, making it nice and quiet but potentially less accessible to some people. ATV/ quad rental and nice bakery just down the street. The receptionist also offered us use of a small showering / changing room area post checkout, which was very helpful. Excellent value for what we got and perfectly suited to our needs on what was an active couple of days exploring all of Santorini.

Stayed at Sweep Pop first week of September for a full week. The hotel location is ideal, right in the centre of Fira but not too close to the liveliest area, so that you enjoy your room and relax. The place is a real gem. Room and communal areas are extremely well cleaned. We had a wonderful room with sea view with a nice sized bathroom and plenty of storage space. Personnel at the reception is very friendly and helpful, with plenty of good info on local attractions, bars and restaurants. They are happy to do the reservation for you if you prefer. There is also a small swimming pool, particularly useful of very hot days or on your last day, while you wait for your flight. We could even order cappuccinos and sandwiches delivered straight to the swimming pool!! 10 out 10 for Sweet Pop!
