Alexandra Hotel

Seemed like a very fun hotel bar and pool situation. Cheap drinks, good music, beach vibes. Clean and quiet. We were only here for a night before we caught an early flight.

Stayed here for a week on my first visit to Santorini. Hotel right at the end of the runway but don’t be put off as they pass by so fast. I actually enjoyed seeing them. Room lovely, modern and clean. Very comfy bed & pillows. Large walk in shower with shower gel provided. I asked for a kettle and it was provided free of charge, lovely pool area with comfy Sunbeds. Free towels provided which is great. Pool snack bar serves a good variety of food which was presented well. Breakfast provided a good continental selection plus eggs and little sausages. The Greek yogurt was delicious. Breakfast staff extremely miserable which is odd as the rest of the staff were friendly. Coffee out of machine which was unpleasant. Breakfast juices really nice. For me as a solo traveller I fouled it a bit far from the centre and I didn’t want to walk back in the dark on my own. I really enjoyed my stay until the yellow haired cleaner picked up a young black and white cat which frequented the hotel which is fed daily and took a shine too & just hurled it as if it was trash. This really upset me. I told one of the owners who just laughed. Another guest told her it was not a laughing matter as did I but she didn’t care. Due to this and that it’s a walk away from the centre of the resort I wouldn’t return. At the side of the hotel is a fabulous mini market l, the owner is lovely and was creating a bar area outside which looked lovely. I booked the day trip with trip to Akrotiri and the winery via jet2 which I can highly recommend. The rep cristos is amazing and so knowledgeable. You must visit Fira & Oía either by bus €2 euros all buses go to Fira and if you want to see other towns including Oia you change at the bus terminal.

good hotel better than a 3 star, to make it better , more sunbed rather than bean bags, safes in rooms ,the resturant staff in the morning are a little to keen ,often removing plates when your not finished,and can be a little miserable, that said, it was generaly a good experience all other staff were friendly and helpfull, the beach is black ash and stones,there is no discos or clubs , lots of bars restaurants,its been said before but this hotel is on the end of the runway, planes come over very low, you do get used to it after a while, the hotel is well kept and rooms were cleaned daily

What a fantastic hotel this is. Typically Greek but with all the amenities you require. The continental breakfast had a good selection of options. The toast machine was the fastest I've ever used on holiday plus you only had to put the bread through once. The bar staff, especially Yiannis and Nikos where specially helpful. The rooms were cleaned every day with fluffy white clean towels every day. Those little touches add to your holiday experience. The snack bar food was as good as any food you can buy in resort. Well presented and served with a smile. The young girl on reception with the blonde hair was very helpful and gave u a map on arrival. She showed us, on the map. how to find the bus stop and the local bus routes to Fira and Oia. We visited both towns and they are as beautiful as the photographs. The local bus cost 2 Euro each way. Overall a fantastic holiday and would like to return in September. This hotel in our rating is above 3*. Don't be put off by the aircraft noise as it is close to the hotel. You soon get used to it. In fact it is good for plane spotters. Keep up the excellent work guys. Janet & Paul

I went here and I must say this place was amazing. Am a travel agent and I always wanted to see Santorini as it was on my bucket list. The Accommodation is very accommodating and I went with my 2 young children and everyone liked them as they kept entertaining everyone. The Rooms are very comfortable and as most reviews say the cleaners come around everyday. You can also purchase food and drinks at the bar and reception staff are very friendly. You can go to Oia and Fira via reception its cheaper to speak to them and they can organised your trips. We paid around 30 euros to Oia and 20 euros to Fira each way which works out cheaper. The breakfast is good with a good choice of options. Overall Santorini is not a family place but if your planning on taking them here this place is very accommodating.
