a very nice and cozy hotel Fall in love with it at first sight. The staff was very nice too. Introduced everything we need know for our few days' trip in Santiago. Only 10 to 15 mins away from Cathedral.

This is a very solid hotel with a comfortable - albeit dark - room, good common areas, nice staff, and good breakfast. The hotel was quiet, but there was almost a sense of gloom because the corridors and rooms were too austere. It seemed more like a four-star rather than a five-star hotel. We enjoyed our stay, but would probably look for something else next time.

Delightful hotel in a great city. Hotel and Santiago de Compostela both were better than we had hoped for. Hotel has a great outdoor ‘lounge’ area with cold beers and is close to a lot of great restaurants and tapas bars. It has it’s own restaurant El Camelia that looked good but we didn’t dine only because we were too busy in the city. Has a indoor pool and you get a really good massage in house too. Beds comfortable and A/C works well. Bathrooms very nice

Unfortunately a big disappointment and 3/5 points is being generous. We had booked this hotel as a special highlight of our tour of Northern Portugal and Galicia, Spain. It was mistake. On a positive note: the junior suite with a view of the cathedral was very roomy; the hotel is situated in a quiet area and has on-site parking, not far from the centre of the city; the staff was always friendly and helpful. Nevertheless, the old fashioned and out-of-date furnishings of the room and of the hotel provided more of a stale, rather than an elegant oldy-worldy, atmosphere. The coffee machine in the room had two tiny PAPER!!! espresso cups and there was no hot water kettle. Has anyone every made tea with hot water from an coffee machine? Yes, it tastes like coffee. The 2 television sets in the room were ancient. The bath and shower were very basic for a 5 star hotel. The breakfast buffet was just embarassing. Stangely enough it was the same breakfast buffet, which was offered in the 4 star Marriot hotel in Vigo, infact it was a little less. Even in Vigo they managed to provide it in a fresh and inviting manner. In a 5 star hotel I would expect more. The coffee/tea machine was old and didn’t function properly. The manual toaster took ages to lightly brown anything. There was no freshly prepared egg station. No hot savoury dishes……. The quality of the product didn’t match the price. I have never been in a 5 star hotel in Spain just like it.

The hotel was nice and our room was comfortable, but not luxurious. Overall the decor and amenities were certainly not at a 5-star level. That said, the location was a perfect walking distance for the tours we wished to do and there were pretty gardens nearby. A memorable note from the hotel was a dinner we had at the restaurant. Nice atmosphere and service was professional and friendly. We shared a tasty seafood bisque and veal with a nice bottle of wine. We ended the meal with almond cake (a specialty of the area), Cañas de Alagón and a glass of tawny port. All very good and we enjoyed our experience!

It was well located so one could walk to bars closeby . You also get cabs easily to move around and the front desk are quite helpful. We were celebrating our 40 th anniversary and our friends wanted to arrange a surprise and the staff especially Christina was extremely helpful and got everything organised with great enthusiasm keeping it a secret from us ! The rooms are large , very comfortable. You shd try their almond cake at breakfast buffet it’s amazing ! Great staff and friendly atmosphere!!

Wonderful Spot to land for a few nights after walking the Camino. Inside pool and gym , massage, nice dining onsite, bathtub , fridge and coffee in room, good storage and comfortable bed . We walked to alameda park and the cathedral area in a few moments and found some more neighborhood churches and restaurants that were less touristy . Had lunch one day in bar which was delicious and we ate at camellia the onsite nicer dining room which was also quite good. The taxi area and parking is quite crowded ..it’s a popular spot and there was a wedding on site when we were there . Complimentary umbrellas for used around the city which is so helpful. Thank you for a lovely stay

Don't know where the 5 stars came from. Checked in today, room was not ready on time. Paper coffee cups in a room with just two coffee capsules. Has poor TV selection with some English language programs but they are automatically voice over in Spanish., and subtitles are only on Spanish. This is an international location for tourists. Had a quick bite in the afternoon and food was uninspired. The place is attractive but would never return.
