DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL. I had one of the WORST and INFURIATING hotel experiences of my life at this hotel; I had booked the hotel same day as it was an impromptu work trip. I knew I'd be getting into San Francisco at bit later than I first thought. So around 9pm I called the hotel and told them that I was coming, and that I'd be getting in around 11pm. When I arrived it was just after midnight. I handed the front desk person my license and credit card (for the record, it's a Visa credit card, NOT a debit card, and it's from my local credit union in Southern California. My California license is current.) The front desk clerk looked at my card and license for a couple minutes, frowning. Then he handed them back to me and said he couldn't check me in(!!!!) I was STUNNED. I work in the beauty industry, I do NOT have a sloppy appearance, although I WAS wearing sweats (big whoop), because I had just driven six hours. I asked him WHY he couldn't check me in?? He just shook his head and shrugged and repeated that he couldn't check me in. Completely bewildered, I stepped outside to try to call a friend who lives in SF, but she didn't answer, was probably asleep. So I got online to see if I could book something else, only to realize that it was after midnight, I could only book for the following day. Upon realizing this, I went to inform the clerk that i COULDNT book anywhere else, only to find that he had locked the door to the office!!! I have NEVER been so offended, infuriated, and BAFFLED in my life. And so I decided to leave this hotel a SCATHING review on every single travel site that would let me. Ask yourself, do I sound like a crazy, unreasonable person??? I truly do not think so! THIS WAS ONE OF THE MOST OFFENSIVE EXPERIENCES OF MY LIFE! BOOK HERE AT YOUR OWN RISK!

Well what we liked was that it had free parking, BUT it is first come first served so you could miss out on a parking spot as there are not enough spaces for the amount of rooms. The carpets in the communal passages are gross, the lift is clean and the rooms clean and newly refurbished all be it cheaply for us they worked and much better than a motel 6!!! But its SF and for the money a good deal.

Typical In di an owned run down hotel. But the price was right. My house burned down, we were homeless for a couple weeks. I tried various cheap hotels around the city that weren't full of bed bugs or *******. This one I used twice because it had air conditioning. It is really kind of awful. The rug was old and barely tacked down, the bathroom shower was clogged. It isn't clean, it isn't nice and I put a chair and table in front of the door, it had one lock and I didn't trust it. But in SF, where are you going to stay for about $125 a night. No place. So you take what you can get.

This motor inn is a bit unusual. They don't have space for one car per room. Parking is strictly 'first come first served'. I don't know what they do if you have a disability. There was a false fire alarm when we were there, and the fire alarm system does not automatically call the fire department, which is a bit scary. Avoid room 202. It shares a wall with the elevator, and the elevator door slams so loudly that you can feel the bed headboard shake. Other than that, the room was as advertised, everything worked, and the neighbourhood was nice.
