St Michael's Manor Hotel - St Albans

We were treated to a cream afternoon tea. It was beautiful presented and delivered by Hepy who was polite, friendly and able to explain all the cakes to us. We had an Easter themed plate of cakes and they were all delicious. The scones were light and warm. The setting was clean, bright and spacious. It was a lovely treat. We will definitely be visiting again very soon.

Came for a celebratory afternoon tea. Hepy was our host and couldn’t have been more welcoming. So friendly and charming, she was very attentive without being over present. She enquired if we were celebrating anything special, and after telling her it was a graduation celebration, a beautifully decorated celebratory plate was bought out with a chocolate brownie on. The food was amazing - lovely sandwiches, cakes and scones, presented beautifully with bottomless cups of tea or coffee. The room where the afternoon teas was served was bright and airy and had lovely views over the grounds. Overall a 5 star experience.

St Michels Manor is charming and has a great deal of character. We stayed here on our trip to Warner Brothers Studio - just 20min away. Our room was decent size with an on-suite bath. Though the floor creaked a great deal as we walked around, there's only reception and the restaurant below, so we did not worry. We could hear every person that passed by our roon; however, in a historical building that is expected. There was no noise during our stay after 21:00. Great sleeping. The patio was beautiful and very relaxing. There is a splendid view out to the river. Dinner in the hotel restaurant was fabulous!! Mohammad was superb and paid attention to every detail serving us. The pea and wild garlic soup was delicious, as was the strawberry pavlova we shared for dessert!! All in all a wonderful place to relax, dine, and stay!
