Pros. Obliging receptionist, good bed & breakfast. Cons. (1) One bedside table was broken & unusable. I reported this to reception & a replacement non matching table was produced reasonably quickly. (2) Shortly afterwards my wife tried to wash some dishes & said that there was no hot water. I had started to fill the hot tub at this stage hoping for early use I again had to go to reception & eventually someone arrived to check the fuse box & restore hot water. We wasted time waiting for the repair & could not use the hot tub until after dinner. (3) Later that night we found a raised edge of carpet along the carpet to tile trim. When I tried to flatten this, I felt sharp nails sticking up through the carpet. Only luck prevented a pre-discovery trip or pierced bare feet. This was reported to reception the next morning. (4) My wife found the shower head hanging in the bath tub & remounted it on the wall rail. When she opened the taps, water jetted over her head, across the length of the bath, hitting the back wall & flooding the floor. I found that the rose bracket was bolted in place, making it impossible to alter the water flow angle. The bottom of the shower rail had been wrenched from the wall, with a large sharp screw only centimetres from the mixer control. The top of the rail which slid into another fixture, was only held in place by friction & could have fallen out at any time. Before resorting to hand held showers, one of our towels had to be used to cover the extremely slippery dangerous tiles. This was reported to reception the next morning. (5) There were long black hairs on the bath tub & floor. This should have been reported but I forgot to do so. (6) We booked breakfast inclusive accommodation directly by phone, but were not aware of any preorder requirement. We arrived at the restaurant at 8am to be told we had not paid for breakfast & would have to check with reception. I had to wait until 8.30am to do this & was again told that no breakfast was included. After getting reception to double check, this was corrected but we wasted one hour of our day waiting for the meal. (7) Car park numbers had been painted over but still visible. I parked outside our unit, but every time I moved my car, others had taken my spot. Upon returning from dinner, there were no spaces at all & I had to resort to parking on the street. (8) On checkout, I asked for some reimbursement. After returning home, I found a request for a favourable review, an 11% discount on my credit card statement & an unpaid invoice for the same amount! No, we will not be returning!
