Overall, a most disappointing experience although I will say the staff were all extremely pleasant and friendly. We were given a disabled room with an adjoining room, neither of which were requested. We experienced a lot of noise from the adjoining room and were woken up by small children shouting at 6:30am There was only a double bed and most hotels charging this tariff (over £150 per night) would provide a kingsize as standard The toilet door was squeaky which is annoying during the night when all it takes is one cleaner to report it and maintenance to apply one drop of oil. Rationing the amount of tea and coffee in the room when charging a premium rate is never acceptable. The food in the restaurant was disgraceful I ordered a chicken salad wrap but the few salad leaves had been encased in the wrap and then cooked for far too long so were barely discernible; there was no evidence at all of the yogurt, BBQ and mint dressing and although there was a decent amount of chicken filling it was dry and overcooked. Although sauce and vinegar were on the table I would have liked mayonnaise but no one came during the meal to ask if everything was alright and if we needed anything as they were so short staffed and too busy. I ordered a cider before our meal but all they had were three strange fruit varieties, not one basic dry apple cider. I spent a very uncomfortable night as the bed had been made up with two hard pillows on one side and two soft pillows on the other and we didn't realise until the following morning, My husband went to sleep before me and had the soft pillows I didn't realise there should have been one of each and just assumed that the pillows were uncomfortable, so I had a bad nights sleep.
