Positive restaurant visit - first in 3-4 years! Coming there with the group of chamber members, I was anticipating the food hours before we actually could sit down, finally, and take our seats. An unusually tasty and cleverly composed starter - green & red salad leaves with some expertly inserted cheese contrasted that really got me going at the first attempt! I did not expect that - it could almost have been selected as a main course - for the taste experience. Next the beef - cand the potatoes. The latter probably those French that are small and tasty - I would have preferred potatoes without the peel, and cooked differently, but being many of us they of course need standardize... a little sauce would have helped, maybe I did not pay attention enough when asking, it was all fine but needed something covering the beef. The beef very small, as they can be was very good - cooked MW as I had asked slightly red inside and when you cut it the knife came through without much resistance - THIS - was what I had come for! The Primitivo De Manduria Zolla (2018?)- opened up well as the minutes passed just proving Italian wine needs its time and to air... The Chardonnay fr France, Gravettes, pristine but boring. A lovely dessert like a baked dark brown cake with almonds fitted well in, my Cappuccino came immediately thus, I could take them together as is what I prefer - what a good evening had! Well dressed staff, polite, knowledgeable is what I want to make my evening, surroundings to-the-point. Grand Palace - You delivered well again, late on a Friday evening despite your having to wait for us, given what that does to food... Thank you for surviving these Dark Ages...I am glad you are with us - I told the guests you are No.1 in Riga, and that for years! I appreciate the staff remain the same - it makes life so much easier !:)

Gewohnt modern und eher puristisch eingerichtet liegt das Garden Inn in perfekter Lage in der Rigaer Altstadt unweit Rathaus uns Petrikirche. Wir haben eine sehr grosse Junior Suite im 6. Obergeschoss bekommen mit schöner Sicht über die Dächer der Altstadt auf die Türme des Doms Rathauses und der Petrikirche. Die Ausstattung ist eher zweckmässig jedoch sind die bequemen Betten die Panoramafenster und die Espresso Maschine nebst dem modernen Bad hervorzuheben. Trotz zentraler Lage sehr ruhig vorallem nachts Das Frühstück ist wie bei Hilton zu erwarten sehr grosszügig abwechslungsreich und frisch. Das Restaurant verfügt über eine kleine Karte. Leider wurde während unseres Aufenthalts nur eine sehr bescheidene Anzahl von Gerichten angeboten diese waren allerdings ausgezeichnet. Insgesamt ein gelungener Aufenthalt empfehlenswert für jüngeres Publikum ohne Luxusambitionen

Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral. Sehr gute ”Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis” Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber, der mehrsprachige Service sehr freundlich. Das Frühstück ist vielseitig. Für eine Reise nach Riga sehr zu empfehlen.

Mitten in der Stadt, gut erreichbar vom Flughafen aus mit dem Bus. Das Wellton ist ein super Hotel mit tollen Mitarbeitern, schönen Zimmern und ein super Frühstück. wir waren zum dritten mal hier, aber bestimmt nicht zum letzten Mal !

Kompaktes, aber komfortables Zimmer in einem schönen Hotel. Perfekte Lage am Rande der Altstadt, praktisch für Besichtigungen, den zentralen Lebensmittelmarkt und zum Bummeln durch die trendigen Zentren. Tolles Frühstück mit kostenlosem Prosecco. Toller Service, das Personal hat mir sogar eine Geburtstagstorte geschickt :) Der einzige Nachteil ist, dass die Bar nicht jeden Tag geöffnet hat und bei unserem Besuch sehr ruhig war, aber es gibt viele andere Möglichkeiten in der Nähe!

Der Check in verlief zügig und das Hotel und das Zimmer (einfachste Kategorie) waren insgesamt sauber. Die Fenster des Zimmers gingen zu einem großen Lichtschacht hinaus, was uns nicht weiter störte, obwohl man gut in gegenüberliegende Zimmer sehen konnte. Einziges Problem: Man hörte den (Küchen-?) Abzug vom Dach deutlich, wenn man bei offenem Fenster schlafen möchte. Das Bad war ansprechend groß und hell. Großes Manko: Das Frühstück. Zu Stoßzeiten kann es bei schlechtem Wetter (keine Terasse) schwierig werden gleich einen Platz zu bekommen. Außerdem hat uns die Qualität des Frühstücks gemessen an der Sternekategorie des Hotels dtl. gestört. Da ist man eindeutig besseres gewohnt! Im Vergleich mit dem Frühstück vom Holiday Inn gibts keine Unterschiede: Rührei aus dem Tetrapak, Batterie-Eier, keine individuell gefertigte Eierspeise, Kuchen und Bisquits von der Stange, langweiliges Brot, geschmackloser O-Saft... Einzige Highlights: ein ganzes Tablett Lachs und Sekt soviel man will .... Fazit: Preis/Leistung stimmt hier nur bedingt. Zimmer ok, Frühstück ist Mainstream

Schönes und bequemes Bett! Gutes Frühstück! Wir waren für 3 Nächte einschließlich Wochenende hier, wir wurden beim Einchecken nicht darüber informiert, dass das Frühstück am Wochenende um 8 Uhr serviert wurde, da wir wie üblich um 7 Uhr ins Restaurant gingen. Irgendwie hat es unsere Reiseroute an diesem Tag beeinflusst! Es fehlte auch am Wochenende an Personal, um Tische aufzuräumen und Essen aufzufüllen, als wir um 10 Uhr morgens zum Frühstück zurückkehrten?

Jacobs Management hat eine bestimmte Qualität. Der kleine Kerl von Liu Xiaochuan sah, wie wir die großen Gepäcktaschen tragen und das Zimmer, das ursprünglich auf mehreren Treppen geschnitten werden sollte, in ein Zimmer mit einem Aufzug über dem Stock wechseln. Vielen Dank! Das Frühstück ist gut, wir sind sehr zufrieden. Das Hotel ist sehr gut, es ist ein bisschen wie im Schloss zu leben, wir mögen dieses Gefühl. Die Lage ist auch großartig, Sie können von der Attraktion im Zentrum der Stadt zu Fuß kommen, gehen Sie langsam.

Have just left here after a three night stay as part of a small group tour of the Baltics. The hotel itself is very nice; some of our group had quite small single rooms but my husband and I had a very good size double room, with fridge and kettle (so good to be able to make tea!). The bathroom was large and the shower worked well. The bed was comfortable and there was a more comfortable chair and a dining-type chair. There was also a safe. Breakfasts were decent, with what seems to be a fairly typical range of options for the Baltics. Unlike our two hotels in Estonia, however, no gluten or lactose free options were provided. Downsides: - location. This is quite a biggie as the hotel is 30-45 minutes’ walk from the centre of the old town, and the nearest tram stop is still around 15-20 minutes away too. - towels were very thin indeed and one of ours had loose threads all over one side, well past its best -wifi was not the best, quite slow and also patchy Would I stay here again? No, largely because of the location.

Līdz 07.02.2024 kad ieradāmies un jau nācās saskarties ar administrācijas personālu , kurš pie ierakstīšanās pierakstīja mūsu datus kas atradīsimies nummuriņa ( šādas lietas visas pārējās 13 reizes nebīja jautātas ) , kad nosaucām kas mēs paliekam , mūs nostādīja fakta priekšā , jums ir jasamaksā drošības nauda 50 eiro apmērā . Kad pajautāju vai ir kas mainījies viesnīcas sistēmā , atbildēja ka nē nav . Teicu ka esam patstāvīgie viesi un nekad nekas tāds nav jautāts , uz ko atbildēja ”Ā nu ja esat patstāvīgie viesi tad nevajadzēs” , bet ar piebildi beigās no administrācijas darbinieka ”Mums jau tāpat katru kustību kameras ieraksta” , ziniet es sajutos ka pēdējais cilvēks , tas bija pretīgi.
