Ibiscus Hotel

stayed foe a week in may , gread location, near old town and harbour , rooms very spacious and clean very comfortable beds , cleaned ever day, balcony a bit small but great views of sea , its across from beach , guest beach towels , breakfast was very good ,lots of choices, very friendly and helpful staff in restaurant and bars , couldn't faulf anything really

The position of the hotel was prefect for us. A 20 minute walk into the old town but plenty of restaurants and bars within a 5 to 10 minute walk. There are lots of beaches to choose from, if somewhat pebbly. There are so many pros to the hotel and the only con is the small swimming pool. But we knew this when we booked. The staff were wonderful from reception, to the bar staff and the reception staff, everyone we met and reacted with were friendly and professional. The rooms have been refurbished fairly recently and we found it to be still in good working order. Our view was over the square at the back and was very quiet. We were also near the lift but never heard it. If we were to return to Rhodes town, we would not hesitate to stay here again.

We have just returned from a lovely week at the Ibiscus hotel. It was a great place and all the staff were helpful and friendly. I was very impressed with how well I was supported with my strict gluten free diet requirements. The Reception staff had advised the restaurant in advance of my needs, which made things very easy for me. The restaurant staff- in particular Nikos- were amazing. Every breakfast I was quickly supplied with gluten free bread and advised on what food was suitable/ not suitable and every evening the chef was informed that I was there and he would come and talk me around all the available food options. There was lots of choice and they even offered to do me gluten free pasta/ gluten free alternatives of other foods too if I wanted it. Thank you so much to you all, it made my holiday so much more relaxing, knowing I was not going to be ill- and so wonderful to have so much choice of food.

My experiences at the Ibiscus hotel from August. I got a courtyard room on the 4th floor which was just fine. The room was really small. There is enough space for one person, but it could be tight for two. There was no space reserved for the suitcase. There was no soundproofing between the rooms, almost all noises could be heard and especially the closet doors rattled. It's a good thing that there was not outside noise in the courtyard room. The cleaning was pretty poor, bottles were found in the closet from the traces of the previous resident, the mirror was really dirty and the tile seams of the shower were covered in black mold. More coffee bags were brought rarely, not every day when they ran out. The water bottles were not refilled when they ran out. The room was renovated, the bed and pillows were quite good. The room had beach towels ready, which was a good thing. A safety box was found in the closet. Room equipment also includes a refrigerator and a large TV. I had half board which included breakfast and dinner buffet. The breakfast was plentiful. The chef fried omelettes with fillings chosen by the customer. They were tasty but there were often a long queue. The food at the dinner buffet is average, nothing very high quality. Salads were varying, feta salad and tzatziki were tasty. In August, there were a lot of rush and crowded, but the service was functional. Nikos and the rest of the team's service were professional. I don't know about the evening program and massage services because I didn't use them. The hotel was perhaps not worthy of four stars in my own experience but due to its location, it is suitable for a nice beach holiday.

Fabulous hotel, modern, clean, spacious, the beds are huge and so comfortable. There is a spa, an indoor restaurant, outdoor restaurant and a beach bar. Its ideally located across from the beach and easy walking distance to the harbour and old town. There is a supermarket just around the corner and the aquarium across the road. Lots of cafes/ tavernas around. The hop on/hop off bus stops across the road. Good breakfast selection and huge portions for other meals. Can't wait to return.
