The Cedars

St Day is an interesting village and the Cedars a very relaxing place to stay. Our room was spacious with a good bathroom and comfortable bed. The breakfast was perfectly cooked and I really liked watching the family of ducks in the garden. Dave and Janet are very welcoming. Definitely recommended.

What can I say , the best B & B we have stayed in for a long time , everything was perfection. Thank you Janet & David. Breakfast both mornings was well presented and cooked perfect. Room was cosy and bed comfotable

Stayed one night at the cost of £100! Not cheap at all. We were sent a email to see if we were still going which was ridiculous because who would not go when you pay this amount of money for one night. The bedroom bedside lights were far to bright and needed some dimmer ones put in. There was no air conditioning or even a fan in the room so it was really warm especially with it being a hot Summers night. Not a comfortable night. Was told breakfast was up to 9.15am and that they wanted to get it all done by this time. We thought it was early they finished breakfast as other b and b’s finished at 10am. It was like it was a big chore for them to do it but don’t they don’t mind taking your money. The conservatory were the breakfast was served was very warm. Again no air conditioning or fans around. All the windows were shut and it was uncomfortable hearing everyone eat because it was so quiet without any background sound. They could at least of had the radio on just to kill the silence so I did not enjoy the breakfast one bit because of this. I would not go again as the owners are only interested in getting your money and felt like even making the breakfast was to much work for them. Should not run a b and b then!

Stayed for a couple of nights at one of the deluxe style rooms, with a nice view of the garden, which I was also able to experience during breakfast. Local amenities include a couple of stores, and a pub, all within walking distance. Getting in and out of the car park can be tricky but had no issues. Worth staying at for a short break.

Returned to The Cedars after our visit last year. One of the best B and B’s we have stayed in. The rooms are spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated. The full English breakfast has got to be the best around by a long shot. The beautiful garden with it’s resident ducks is an added bonus. Janet and David are lovely hosts. We would definitely recommend The Cedars.

We stayed here this weekend for one night as we were in cornwall for a wedding. We had the most fantastic stay. The house is set on the most beautiful grounds, with stunning gardens and views of the surrounding areas. The room was spacious and meticulously clean! The shower was fantastic and the beds were SO comfortable. We both had the best nights sleep we’ve had in ages. Janet & David gave us the warmest welcome and let us check in early so that we could quickly get changed before heading to the wedding. This was so kind of them. Nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was wonderful. So tasty and more than adequate in size. The duck eggs were beautiful. The homemade jam is a must try! I wanted to bring some home with me! We sat outside in the sun to eat and could have stayed there all day enjoying the peace & quiet and amazing view. We will definitely be back and would recommend anybody to stay here and see for yourselves! If we could give more stars we would! ⭐️ thank you Janet & David.
