Decided to try a small, local establishment for an annual event instead of the nationwide chains I've used in the past. I was happily surprised. The owner is very friendly and accommodating. The cost is low. This is a very basic place to stay- there's no wifi, for example, nor is there any sort of breakfast offered. The bed was comfortable, and while the room was small, it was definitely sufficient for a single person for a couple of nights stay. The only issue I had was that the fridge didn't to get very cold. The freezer worked great, though. I plan on staying here again in the future.

We stayed in the hotel and were able to charge our EV at the campground. It’s just under an hour to St. Louis. We had two rooms that joined for my husband and I and our two kids. Facilities are clean and well maintained. Manager was nice, helpful, and interested in making our stay the best possible. I always pack travel shampoo and conditioner, and I was glad I had them. This hotel supplies soap for shower and bathroom sink but not the extra amenities, which was fine as the hotel charge was reasonable. I would recommend .!

I'm a Disabled Wounded Warrior, who lives Full-Time in his RV. I stay at the World Shooting Complex in Sparta, IL. I have to pull out of this Campground once a year for three weeks. When they have the Grand Nationals Shooting Competion. I've have Contacted them for the last three years, and I'm told that they are Full. I've Driven by the Campground and they were not Full at all. So to all Veteran's, don't call the K-River Campground & Motel. Because they will tell you that they have no Openings for you to stay there.
