We went here with friends who has holidayed here when it had just opened. We had a 10. night holiday booked with BA we arrived the early hours of Sunday 9th of October. We unpacked went to bed after looking around room in daylight next morning I wasnt impressed, we had 1 b/towel so hubby went down and asked for another also we asked for extra coathangers as there were only 4 (for 2 people) ?? The towel s did appear but no coathangers on trying the shower the head from the shower only produced a trickle so we asked if someone could check it for us . The light in the bathroom was flickering when we looked in it this is what we saw (see 1st photo ) there were two lights one either side of the sink both full.of dead flies they fixed the flickering light but the the other light though working was still full of dead flies ???????? Long story short they never fixed the shower we gave up asking for it to be fixed and used the small head on the shower. The 2nd photo is the photo is the mess that greeted us on our bathroom floor when we returned to our room after our 3rd request for the shower to be fixed (at least we assumed)they were trying to fix the shower head ) why else would you leave s bathroom in that state 😡😡😡😡😡😡 It was 5.30 and we had dinner booked for 6.30 i went ballistic hubby thought i was blaming him he threw one of the white bath towels over it and to cease arguung about this awful room iI.didn't complain about the room after that I decided it was easier to just put up with it and keep.the peace I should have at the start of the holiday demanded to move rooms and it would have been a much nicer holiday. We had paid for two upgrades and this room was certainly not worth the price we paid. The hotel does have good points the staff are amazing resturant and bar staff are some of the best we have ever had rhe privilage of meeting. Shout out for Peter and the Pizza chef in the Italian we enjoyed your singing and they are fabulous people . Also shout out for Nushta in the lobby bar but there were too any lovely staff to.mention by name the staff are certainly a great asset to the hotel. We really used only the a la carte restaurants in the evening for dinner and they r amazing always managed to book.a table and we loved the Italian at lunchtime too. I dont do brekkie but hubby and our friends did . The main areas of the hotel are lovely and reasonably kept seats are stained quite badly in some places and do need upgrading . The weather was fab food was good staff amazing but the photos of our room speak for themselves. I should gave made a stand at the start of the holiday regarding the room but then again no 5 star hotel should have a room in this condition.

A very enjoyable experience with Aman Ullah a lot of fun he is very friendly the way he approach the absolutely unbelievable.When see any gust he welcome everyone and thoroughly interesting activities to entertain the kids whilst the poolside was a relaxing atmosphere for me and my wife. The beach ⛱️ is amazing view very long beach.The swimming pool is very deep and large.I would like to recommend this hotel 5 Star service.Thak you Aman Ullah your hospitality and safety give us our children.👍👍👍👍

Das Resort ist unglaublich. Zweifellos ist es eines der besten Resorts in RAK. Wir verbrachten die neuen Jahre und unser Jubiläum im The Cove Rotana und hatten eine tolle Zeit. Wir wurden mit allen Sonderbehandlungen wirklich gut versorgt. Das Essen in Zimt ist fantastisch und das Personal im Resort ist so freundlich. Als wir in unserem Zimmer eincheckten, stellten wir fest, dass das uns zugewiesene Zimmer weder einen Balkon noch eine Badewanne hatte. Wir haben um ein Upgrade gebeten, da wir für Silvester einen hohen Betrag bezahlt hatten. Eine Mitarbeiterin namens Tara hat uns geholfen, das Upgrade sehr schnell durchzuführen. Der Haushälter war der süßeste. Er hat unser Bett schön dekoriert und auch eine Tafel mit den Jubiläumswünschen aufgestellt!! Außerdem gab es in der Breakers Beach Bar einen Mitarbeiter namens Min. Er ist ein toller Kerl. Ich hatte einen Mojito bestellt und ihn darüber informiert, dass er genauso gut aussehen muss wie für die sozialen Medien. Er stellte sicher, dass er mir das Beste gab, und empfahl mir auch, mich für Erdbeermojito zu entscheiden. Dann sagte er, es sei ihm nicht möglich, den Mojito im Glas zu geben, da wir nicht an der Bar saßen, sondern am Strand auf den Sonnenliegen ruhten. Als er sah, dass ich etwas verärgert war, ließ er uns das Glas zum Strand bringen. So ein toller Kerl!!! Alles in allem hatten wir eine tolle Erfahrung und können dieses Resort allen wärmstens empfehlen, die gerne eine tolle Zeit mit Familie und Freunden verbringen möchten.

Sehr bougie und schön! Es war ein perfekter Aufenthalt! Das Essen war fantastisch, die Leute waren fantastisch und die Anlage/Zimmer sind makellos!!! Dies ist ein Ort, an dem Sie jedes Mal bleiben möchten, wenn Sie RAK besuchen! ! !

Nice place, but is far you need to bring your food or go to rak to buy

Das Hotel liegt etwas oberhalb des Waldorf Astoria auf einer gebogenen Halbinsel. Das ist schon recht abgelegen und wirklich nur für Ruhesuchende geeignet. Die Rezeption liegt auf dem Festland und vermittelt nicht unbedingt das typische Ritz Carlton Niveau. Der Empfang ist freundlich, aber der Empfangsraum könnte auch in einem amerikanischen Billigmotel stehen. Die anschließende kurze Bootsfahrt durch die Bucht ist nett, aber nicht viel mehr als ein Gimmick. Wir hatten Villa Nummer 7, die schön eingewachsen ist und damit viel Privatsphäre bietet. Die Villa selber ist recht klein, die Größenangaben bei den Reisebüros verstehen sich mit dem großen Außenbereich. Mehr als 2 Koffer wären hier eine echte Herausforderung. Die Villa war sauber und ist ganz schick eingerichtet, aber definitiv deutlich in die Jahre gekommen. Abgeplatzte Farbe, aufgequollene Leisten und fehlende Poolfliesen sind an der Tagesordnung. Die Aussenbadewanne lädt definitiv nicht zum Baden ein, die sieht echt widerlich aus. Die Außenanlagen sind gepflegt, Liegen und Pavilion richtig hübsch. Der Swimmingpool ist beheizt, was im Februar einen echten Mehrwert darstellt. Der Zimmerservice morgens ist gut, der Abendservice ein schlechter Witz. Da werden noch nicht einmal Handtücher getauscht, das Maximale ist das Bett aufzudecken. Auf Trinkgeld folgt in der Regel eine echt hübsche „Handtuchorgie“. Durch den schönen Privatbereich ist am Strand nicht wirklich viel los. Wir hatten kein Problem eine der vier Cabanas zu ergattern. Der Strand ist breit, aber die Qualität nicht so besonders. Recht steinig und nicht unbedingt ohne Strandschuhe zu empfehlen. Da gibt es deutlich hübscheres, wenn ich an Saadiyat Island in Abu Dhabi denke. Die Lifeguards sind mangels Schwimmern gleichzeitig auch für Handtücher verantwortlich. Das klappt recht gut und die Wasserversorgung ist zuverlässig. Wer allerdings auf irgendwelche Goodies in Form von Früchten oder Eis hofft, der hofft vergebens. Und eine Getränkebestellung haben wir auch nicht unter einer halben Stunde hinbekommen, auch wenn das Restaurant nur 150 Meter entfernt ist. Und da wären wir dann auch beim großen Problem des Al Hambras – das Shore Restaurant. Wenn ich behaupten würde, dass das Frühstück qualitativ einem Frühstück in einem amerikanischen Hotel nahe kommt, dann liegt das vermutlich sehr nah an der Wahrheit. Für das verlangte Geld ist das gebotene eine echte Unverschämtheit, beginnend vom Brotkorb mit 3 lauwarmen weißen Toast, 2 süßen Stückchen und 2 Mini-Croissants, gefühlt von einem unterdurchschnittlichen Bäcker. Und das jeden einzigen Tag. Als besonderes Goodie gibt es auf Nachfrage dann noch ein mäßig gebackenes Tiefkühlbaguette. Die Eierspeisen sind in Ordnung aber nichts Besonderes, die Auswahl am „Drumrum“ wie Lachs und Wurst/Käse recht bescheiden. Wir hatten zusätzlich das Pech gerade aus dem Burj al Arab zu kommen und in der Vergangenheit ein paar Mal im Ritz in Bahrain gewesen zu sein. Das ist dann wie von 5 Sterne zum Fast

Wer ein Hotel bewerten möchte, sollte auf drei wesentliche Punkte achten. 1. Checkin Freundlickeit, Service und wie sich um den euen Gast gekümmert wird. Hier wurden unsere Erwartungen, auch Dank Arvind, mehr als übertroffen. 5 von 5 2. Housekeeping und Sauberkeit Auch hier sind Freundlichkeit und Service wichtig. Hinzu kommen noch Sauberkeit und Qualität der Housekeepingleistungen hinzu. Stellvertretend für alle stehen Dinesh und Tariq. Besser kann man es nicht machen. Immer sauber und Ordentlich in exzellenter Qualität. 5 von 5 3. Restaurant und Bar Darbietung, Qualität und Geschmack sind zu bewerten. Die Auswahl an Speisen war sehr gut. Für jeden Geschmack war etwas dabei. Von vegetarischen über asiatische bis europäische Küche wurde alles geboten. Stellvetretend für die Mitarbeiter ein besonderes Danke and Shakira und Michael. 5 von 5 Das Boons und Bar erwähnen wir bewusst extra. Wir wurden selten so herzlich empfangen und bewirtet. eso ders Prasanna, Anya und Susan möchten wir erwähnen, die wie das gesamte Team einen super Job gemacht haben. Es war eine Freude Eure Gäste sein zu dürfen. 5 von 5 plus 2 extra Punkte

Vom Flughafen Dubai nach RAK benötigt man etwa 1,5 h Fahrzeit, je nach Rush Hour auch schon mal länger. Die Einfahrt beim Hotel überzeugte nicht gerade, aber dafür war dann alles gut vorbereitet um unser Zimmer im Seitengebäude 4.2.1 zu erhalten. Die Koffer wurden ohne Probleme dorthin gebracht. Angenehm bei den doch hohen Temperaturen im September. Dort waren wir sehr gut untergebracht, nach Rücksprache mit Freuden wohl besser als im Hauptgebäude. Das große Zimmer überzeugte sofort mit Sauberkeit und Größe, extra Sitzecke mit Sofa und Tisch. Der große Balkon mit Blick auf den Strand und Sitzgelegenheiten, sehr schön. Das TV-Gerät bot leider kein einziges deutsches Programm und das, bei der doch nicht gerade kleinen deutschen Urlauberzahl. Die Klima-Anlage funktionierte genauso gut wie das kostenfreie WLAN. Kaffee- und Teezubereitung war vorhanden, ein Kühlschrank, Safe, Kofferablage. Die sauberen Vorhänge verdunkelten im ruhigen Umfeld sehr gut, unser Schlaf war entsprechend erholsam in den angenehmen Betten. Der Fußboden war mit Laminat ausgelegt, im Bettbereich lag ein Teppich. Ablagemöglichkeiten waren auch für einen längeren Aufenthalt genügend vorhanden. Das Bad, sehr groß, Badewanne, extra Duschecke, überzeugend für die ausgewiesenen 5 Sterne. Die Büfetts in dem großen Restaurant boten eine Vielzahl von warmen und kalten Gerichten an, auch an Veganer oder diät lebenden Personen war gedacht. Allerdings kennen wir All Inklusive in anderen Hotels auch schon mal mit Snacks o.ä., in den nicht Essenszeiten, aber dort gab es im wesentlichen Frühstück, Mittag- und Abendessen mit Getränken diese auch an den kleinen Bars am Strand, Eis musste dort extra bezahlt werden und war nicht gerade billig, summiert sich bei Kindern. Bier/Cocktails erst ab 12 Uhr. Das große „All Dining Restaurant“ hatte dabei eher den Geräuschpegel eines Bahnhofs, das lag aber auch an den überwiegend anwesenden Gästen aus Nicht EU-Ländern, deren Verhalten selten unserem Wohlgefühl entspricht, aber das kann man dem Hotel nicht anlasten. In den anderen Restaurants (gegen Gebühr) war das Umfeld wesentlich besser. Im Hotelbereich gibt es einige kleine Geschäfte, ansonsten keine Möglichkeiten für richtiges „shoppen“, kein Umfeld. Für das angebotene Zimmer vergeben wir ein hervorragend, für den Restaurantbereich und die Restanlage noch ein sehr gut, wobei das gesamte Personal, hier sei besonders die junge Inderin NEHA genannt, die sich „In training“ im Restaurant befand, sich immer hilfsbereit und kooperativ zeigten. Für Familien ist die Anlage hervorragend geeignet, man hat kaum Nebenkosten, wenn man auf Eis verzichtet. Der flach abfallende feine Sandstrand ist für Kinder und Nichtschwimmer hervorragend geeignet. Im Übrigen gibt es auch einen Pool nur für Erwachsene, im Restaurant auch einen entsprechenden abgegrenzten Bereich. Insgesamt vergeben wir ein sehr gut und kommen gerne wieder!

What an amazing experience! In this review I’m only talking about things we did. There is plenty more we couldn’t do as we only stayed 2 nights. First let’s cover the resort: The resort itself is very luxurious and massive. The villas are huge (we stayed in the Al Rimal Villa)! Having your own pool (very private, no one can see you) is so nice, especially if you have kids who are in there constantly. We were two adults with 2 kids, 12 and 2. There are several restaurants but only 1 is open for breakfast and lunch (can be increased in my opinion, especially the farmhouse should be added). Unfortunately several things are only happening on weekends so try to include the weekend to be able to experience all the offerings. To get around the resort, you can either use the bicycles or the buggy. As we stayed in June, we used the buggy mainly as it’s super hot throughout the day. However, we did cycle in the evenings and during the day a couple of times. There are wild animals all over the resort. They just come and go as they please. Everything feels very authentic and true to its surroundings. Nothing is staged. If you like to see Camels and Onyx close up on your way to lunch or in the evening when cycling back to your room, you will love this place! Let’s look at the Restaurants. Farmhouse - this is a great restaurant right at a waterhole which is beautiful in the evening and a place where a lot of animals gather. The food, drinks and staff were great. This was our favourite restaurant. However, only open for dinner. Shame! Kheela - this is the only restaurant for breakfast and lunch. It’s nice with an Arabic vibe. The food is good (not amazing). The one thing that makes this place very special is the staff. They are sooo friendly and helpful. They loved playing with our little toddler Max. They truly made the experience special for us. I’d like to call some of them out by Name: Wandy, Hemal, Sujala and Susmila. I only put those down as they written their name on my partner’s birthday card but all of them were amazing. In terms of activities: We did the nature drive and camel sunset ride. Both are amazing! During the nature drive you get a real feel for the desert, it’s animals and plants. If you are lucky, you get to hand feed the gazelles. The ride itself is very intense with lots of up and down and many many bumps, so not suitable for small children in our opinion. The Guide, Martin, was great! I can highly recommend him. We also did the rainforest experience which is very lovely. We recommend at least 2 hours. Overall, this place is absolutely amazing and we enjoyed every bit of it! It’s also super kid friendly so highly recommended for families. The staff make this place truly special and add to the the overall experience. We can’t thank all of the staff enough for taking such good care of us.
