When we arrived a lady at reception helped us to carry our luggage to our room. We slept very well indeed because the hotel was situated in a quiet street, yet very close to the centre of Ragusa Superiore. It was amazing to walk and cover virtually the entire area to see the charming historic sights including so many churches in both Ragusa Ibla and Ragusa central, and to hear their bells chime regularly, was a beautiful experience. At breakfast, ladies greeted us, and each time we wanted certain edibles, the ladies came to our assistance. De Stefano's Director, was exceptional and made our stay perfect by going the extra mile, offering advice if we needed anything out of the ordinary. What a welcoming professional she is, always homely, smiling and happy. All the staff were terribly friendly and helpful, and so very eager to please and the service was first class. The room was kept in pristine condition and the bed was extremely comfortable. The hotel's position was fine, close to the many steps down and up to Ibla, and then up to the centre of Ragusa to go shopping or sightseeing there too. Restaurants were plentiful and with a little detective work, we found brilliant eateries off the beaten track and oh my, the variety of so so tasty cannoli became mind boggling. The venues that stood out for us for dinner were La Taverna Del Lupo, authentic and one we kept going back to, Trattoria da Luigi, Trattoria La Bettola and if you do not mind walking off a heavenly meal, then you must dine at Trattoria nto' Cumannanti, what a down to earth fun place with bustling atmosphere to enhance your taste buds. For lunch or a bite to eat, you have to go to Benvenuti al Sud, small family run with fantastic home cooked meals, and for an incredible variety of yummy delights we found ourselves returning often to Caffé Sicilia which had everything, and finally look out for fine bakeries such as the Panificio Carpenzano located in Corso Italia, and others presenting scrumptious and wholesome snacks. We had a wonderful stay at the De Stefano Palace Luxury Hotel. It was a fantastic holiday and it was a real pleasure to stay at the De Stefano. We found The De Stefano Luxury Hotel superb, and Ragusa Superiore and Ragusa Ibla were fine examples to see Sicily's splendid architecture. Well done De Stefano, truly recommended.

Sabbinirica earns high marks on the Cherry Wonderdog lodging scale. It’s an exceptionally pretty property on a steep hill in Ragusa Iba overlooking the town, with wonderful vistas and sounds of church bells in the distance yet total silence at night. We had an economy room, #2, a cave-like structure, fully renovated, modernized, and equipped for comfort. It was beautiful, and we slept well in the comfortable bed for two. The guest house manager, Marzia, was a superwoman. She took care of the property and its guests, including registration, check-outs, special requests, and everything in between. She gave us ideas about sights to see, where to eat, and places to visit. Every morning she arrived to prepare breakfast, which, with the exception of the wonderful cappuccinos she made for us without limitation, was served buffet style. Normally it started at 8:30, but on the last day, she accommodated our need to eat early and invited us down at 8. We had been in communication with Marzia prior to arrival, because she manages other projects and properties simultaneously, and she wanted to make sure she was around for us. Fortunately she was still in the guesthouse when we, like many other travelers, fell prey to Ragusa Iba’s challenging road system. GPS certainly met its match when it recorded Sabbinirica! To our delight, Marzia ran down from the guest house and greeted us in the parking lot, then she accompanied us back (while carrying half the luggage) up the multiple flights of stairs to the property. Did I mention she was physically fit? As amazing as Marzia was, sometimes the work seemed too much for one person. At our previous B&B in Ortigia, there was an entire family and assistants catering to the needs of guests all day long. It felt odd that Sabbinirica relied on only Marzia. It would have been nice for to have an extra hand at breakfast and front desk coverage more than a few hours per day. Other suggestions include shifting the breakfast offerings to less sugary items, opening the breakfast area gate after hours for communal gathering, adding a Wi-Fi amplifier to boost the signal upstairs, and increasing the water temperature by several degrees. There was a towel warmer in the bathroom, but it wasn’t functional. Lastly, for safety, there could be more light on the second level beyond those projecting from floor to ceiling into people’s eyes. As a final note, we were fortunate to meet the owner Marco, a warm gentleman who cares earnestly about his guests and keeping Sabbinirica in good standing. His restaurant, Osteria Imperfetta, is worth visiting for fine dining in Ragusa Iba. In sum, we enjoyed our stay like so many others and wish Sabbinirica and future guests all the best.

Anche se a distanza di tempo da quando recensisco, per una sosta lavorativa nella zona di Ragusa ho soggiornato in questo hotel nella periferia di Ragusa. Camere pulite e dotate di ogni comfort. Ottima colazione a buffet servita in sala comune con caffetteria.

Dieser Ort wurde als Basis für die Touren der Hügelstädte Südost Sicily verwendet. Wir fanden es gut gelegen, um zu Scicli, Modica und natürlich Ragusa. Alle innerhalb von 20 Minuten Fahrt. Wir sind spät am Sonntag angekommen und eine hilfsbereite Lady auf der Rezeption gab uns eine große Empfehlung. Schönes großes Zimmer, geräumige Parkplatz und großes Landschaft zum Roaming. Einladendes Schwimmbad mit vielen Lounges - etwas zu kalt, um im Mai zu verwenden. Papi und Wildblumen überflossen die Erde. Umweltbewusstes Thema. Lokale Produkte gut in Beweis beim Frühstück. Gute Auswahl an Lebensmitteln und große frisches Blut Orangensaft! Gesamt unglaubliche Wert. Wäre wiederkommen!

Was kann ich über Modica Boutique Hotel sagen? Ich liebe es! LAGE: GREICH! Einfach zu finden, umgeben von vielen Geschäften und Restaurants. PARKUNG: Kostenlose Parkplätze in einer Verriegelungsgarage; privat und sehr sicher, mit Aufzug direkt mit dem Hotel verbunden. Zimmer (Ober): Geräuschlich, Modern, sehr sauber, sehr komfortable Bett, Gemütliches Leinen, Zustand der Kunst Dusche, Entspannung am besten! BROCHE: Gespürt für Wahl, alles frisch und lecker. Frühstücksbuffet 'a la grande'! WASSERMASCHINE AM JEDEN GLOSS: Leere Flaschen für kostenlose Kälte oder Raumtemperatur Natur- und Sparkling Wasser HOTEL RESTAURANT: Wir hatten ein Abendessen. Eine begrenzte Wahl, aber das Essen wurde perfekt gekocht, gut vorgestellt und wir liebten es. Sehr vernünftig preisgekrönt. STAFF: Polizist, höflich, professionell und immer mit einem Lächeln. Ich empfehle Modica Boutique Hotel, besonders für diejenigen, die mit dem Fähren nach Pozzallo reisen, da es nur 20 Minuten Fahrt ist. Das wird Sie nicht bedauern. Modica Boutique Hotel ist als 4-star eingestuft, aber für mich schlägt es ein 5-star Hotel, bis dahin! Vielen Dank für Ihr Modica Boutique Hotel, dass unsere Unterkunft so wunderschön ist!

Wir besuchten das Modica Palace Hotel letzter Sommer zuerst und liebten es so sehr, dass wir uns beschlossen, zurückzukehren. Sobald wir feststellten, dass sich die Dinge dramatisch verändert hatten. Wir waren alt, das Hotel hatte sich die Hände verändert. Skeleton-Personal, Abendessen, das üblich war, aber jetzt auf einem Satz Menü, das nie so ändert für uns mit der Hälfte des Board würde das gleiche essen für eine Woche bedeuten. Das Personal versuchte zu helfen, aber wir genossen nicht überhaupt. Es gab nur 4 Personen, die jeden Abend im Restaurant essen, während es im letzten Jahr immer voll war und trotzdem warten wir Stunden auf die servierbaren. Mehr als einmal kam unser Essen nicht wie bestellt und wir sandten es zurück. Am letzten Abend bestellte ich einen guten Bier und erhielt es selten, an welchem Punkt wir gerade auf- und abstiegen. Es ist offensichtlich, dass es Probleme auf Managementebene gibt, Kostensenkungen sind die eine ausstehend, aber was nicht akzeptabel war das Verhalten des Managers. Als wir um eine Erstattung für unser Essen baten, wurde er wütend und sein Verhalten war ziemlich aggressiv, er sagte uns, es gab keine Probleme mit dem Hotel und die Bewertungen waren gut. Er war nicht daran interessiert, unsere Rückmeldungen zu hören, und er ging gerade, während wir reden und schlug uns die Tür. Wenn ich der Besitzer dieses Geschäftes wäre, würde ich mich Sorgen machen. Ein guter Manager versucht immer, Kunden zu beherbergen und zu hören, ihre Fragen sogar auf sie zu handeln, so dass die Kunden tatsächlich zurück gehen. Ich habe dieses Hotel für so viele Menschen empfohlen, aber das wird nicht mehr tun und wird definitiv nicht zurück. Es ist so schämlich.

Sehr schönes, ruhiges Hotel mit schönen Zimmern. Das Hotel liegt am Rand vom Ort. Es sind nur wenige Schritte bis zum Strand bzw. der Promenade. Der Ort ist ruhig, es gibt viele Restaurants und Cafés . Das Frühstück ist für italienische Verhältnisse exorbitant, allerdings ist der Kaffee unterirdisch. Ich habe im Hotel 3x zu Abend gegessen, es war gut. Auch den Preis fand ich angemessen. Die Mitarbeiter sind alle ausnahmslos freundlich und hilfsbereit. Ich brauchte noch zusätzliche Bügel, was gar kein Problem darstellte. Das Zimmermädchen Agata legte mir (noch verpackte!) auf mein Bett. Das Zimmer war stets sauber. Vielen herzlichen Dank nochmals an Agata. Das Hotel verfügt über einen großen Parkplatz mit Tor, auf dem man das Auto perfekt abstellen kann. Ich würde jederzeit wiederkommen.
