B&B Giardino di Pietra

What a wonderful place to stay. You get to stay in a 18th century beautiful house in the heart of Ragusa. It is as if you are a local in town. Lovely views from the room and the breakfast-terrace, very good breakfast, comfortable bed, large bathroom, and a very kind and helpful owner Simon.

Simone, the host came down the street to meet us and make sure our car was parked in a free space. The b& b is in a beautifully restored small palace. The very spacious room was more like a 4-5 star hotel. Homemade Breakfast on the outdoor patio was excellent. Good location in the charming old town. Simone drove our luggage to our rental car in his 52 year old Fiat.

An absolutely outstanding B&B. Simone was so very helpful - with parking, with excellent restaurant recommendations, where to go. He went above & beyond in driving us with our luggage to our car when we left. The building is full of character - straight out of Montalbano! The room was very comfortable & the breakfasts were delicious, all fresh complete with home made jams. Breakfast on the terrace overlooking Ragusa will stay in my memory for many years - such a perfect relaxing start to the day! Thank you Simone & Elena.

We were looking for a place where we can stay like a local in Ragusa Ibla, and we found the perfect place in this charming B&B. It is within a short distance walk to all the shops, cafes and restaurants, and we were really living amongst the locals. We had booked our room through ***********, and the B&B communicated with us right after, with instructions on parking etc. The owner (Simone) was very polite and helpful. He helped us with our parking, and gave us a lift from the parking space to the property in his cool little car! Our room (Comfort Double Room) was amazingly spacious and comfortable. We had a little balcony looking out to the cobbled street below and over the roofs of all the houses around. The bathroom and room were well cleaned, shower was strong, and all the amenities were sufficient and working well. Breakfast was superb and Simone's presentation of all the delicacies was an art in itself. The dining area was amazing; overlooking the Old City. The whole property has an old-time elegance to it. Very nice, and again, the location was fantastically convenient to explore the ancient city by foot. We can highly recommend this place to others wanting an authentic experience in Ragusa Ibla!

We had a good stay in this lovely old building. Our large room had a great ceiling, of all things, and was well furnished. There are only three rooms opening onto the breakfast room with its large terrace area, having views over the “newer” upper town. Breakfast was good quality. The owners were always available, either in the building or via WhatsApp. They looked after us very well. Tip - if driving, use the free parking a few minutes walk away. The owner ferried us and our luggage in a 1952 Fiat 500 - quite a taxi! I wouldn’t attempt to drive to the accommodation in anything larger. The location was ideal, quiet yet an easy walk around the old town.
