Colina Mar

We stayed self catering. Room was adequate for our needs all equipment in kitchen area bottle of water for arrival in fridge, room was spacious and clean, beds were comfortable and lots of storage space, tv woks without remote press buttons on the back and had English channels, views from balcony are stunning,a little dated but clean and maids came daily. Pool was only used once during our stay as people were going down at 1am to reserve beds,we managed to get one at quieter pool and the beds were much newer. We went to watch the entertainment one night was ok just your usual hotel entertainment and drinks were reasonably priced,did not eat here as the bars/restaurants in the area are very reasonably priced. Only negative which is not hotels fault was the noise from the Comercial Centre at the bottom. Stayed in room 209

Hotel itself was ok rooms cleaned every 2 days and were a very good size with brilliant views, beds also very comfy. Spent most of our time at the small pool which itself had alot of sunbeds so no need to be up early to reserve one! Food was the only downside at this hotel if you didn't like meat then you basically lived on vegetables, rolls,and chips, occasionally they served pizza which was a nice change. breakfast were the best at the hotel, we did eat out at the Europa shopping center a cpl of evenings as couldn't face the lack of choice in hotel. Entertainment in the evening was most certainly entertaining! Kids Entertainment was just a dvd shoved on a big screen!! But at least the kids seemed ro still enjoy this. Had different acts on each night some good some just shockingly funny. Taxis down to the beach was about 6 euros which we done cpl times in the week also walked down the 701 steps lovely views but it's a killer! All in all good hotel for what you paid for. Weather could have been better yet can't do anything about that.

Just back after 2 weeks here. The views are spectacular from this hotel, over looking the sea and harbour however it is what it is, a very generous 3 star hotel!!!! Cori the bar man couldn't do enough for us, the animation team was fantastic and all the staff worked really hard but sadly there was some negative points for us. The food wasnt labelled as to what it was, having food allergies this was an issue, there was signs saying ask staff for details when we asked the reply was 'I don't know'. Food was also bought out quite early and left uncovered with flys landing on it. My son had his notes stollen out of his wallet (left on the table inside the apartment) when my husband went to complain about this to a lady called 'annie' her response was, are you sure no-one else has taken it as we know what kids are like? Also that we was welcome to report it to the police but no-one in her hotel would steal. So basically she didn't believe us!!! So advice is pay for a safe!. Wifi is only free in the hotel lobby or you can pay €10 for 4gb of data, so my advice is if your travelling with little ones it may be cheaper to sort with your mobile provider before you travel. There are signs all over hotel about reserving sunbeds but no-one payed any attention, people were putting towels on sunbeds as early as 3am! This is a very noisy hotel so if your a couple looking for a peaceful, relaxing get away this may not be the right hotel for you

My review what can I say. My wife and I both enjoyed our stay at colina Mar. we arrived on 1st October to the 12th of October 2024. we were great with a friendly smile and welcoming hello. She went through everything we needed to know, and more once booked in, she explained we're where to go. we were in room 339 above the small pool area. Then we went down to the restaurant to get something to eat and a drink. We found something to eat every day we were there. Proper breakfast and evening meals. The apartment was basic but clean. Cleaners came in every other day. There are elevators to all levels, too all the staff and entertainment where brilliant keep up the good work. Would and will we go back, yes we will loved it.

Hotel was nice and clean, very basic, brilliant view, but staff were very rude, horrible attitude, entertainment wasn't very good during the day. The food wasn't the best either, not very much to pick from, once again biggest problem is the attitude of the staff, very disappointed.

It's not cheap and cheerful but inexpensive and good. Great reception and staff. The room is cleaned 5 times a week ! Only stayed on a self catering basis so can't comment on food etc. main pool busy , small pool quieter and great little bar serving snacks and good pint !. Yes there are ants but tell me any hotel on a volcanic island that hasn't. After all they were here before we were . Would recommend this as a great base for a holiday. Near the Europa centre and only a 40 min walk down Hill to the main two beaches. Ps it's only 7 minutes in a taxi back up !!😁
