Disappointing, in a nutshell. We'll never go back. *Disclaimer: I am a food professional and I expect food to be served properly* Several restaurants, but they're open/closed at different times so the variety you're being sold on isn't always available and it's confusing at first to know where you can find a meal aside from the buffet and cafe. We had a very difficult time getting reservations at any of the dinner places they have on site. Platinum level guests didn't seem to struggle as much with reservations. We ate at Kobo once, it was good, but they reused the chopstick holders without washing them between guests at dinner sittings. (Eew). The cafe had really good lattes and offered multiple types of milk as well as cold sandwiches all day. I got really bad food poisoning on night 3 having never left the property. No one at the front desk offered help to my husband when he came down asking for it. We found out later from a friend back home that there is a medical clinic on-site. Dr. Ana had to come to our room and provide IV fluids and antibiotics. She was awesome. Our Insurance was needed for payment. The hotel never checked on us to see if we were ok or if I was any better. I was sick for the remaining 4 days, we missed our pre-paid excursions. Our room was skipped for housekeeping twice and our mini fridge was only refilled twice the entire week. Otherwise, housekeeping did a good job when they were there. The pools and spas were beautiful, but filthy. There was a scuz ring around the edge of the big pool and when someone pointed out to staff one day that something in the water *may* have been vomit, noone came back to clean it. The spa in the adult pool was disgusting. The food was well below average. It was the same food every day, just served slightly differently. LOTS of carbs. Nothing was seasoned properly or it was drowning in sauces. The pizza was undercooked and the dough still raw below the sauce. Fresh fruit every day was good. Breakfast at the ”French” restaurant (not really French at all, even at dinner) was decent but the line for fresh eggs or omelettes was really long. Room service was the *worst* I've ever had. The American burger wasn't 100% beef... Not really sure what it was. The chicken ciabatta had the tiniest flat chicken cutlet I've seen served to an adult or child. The Bolognese had zero seasoning and the pasta was undercooked. Puerto Morelos is a tiny town, but offered a little shopping. The people there were lovely. Unfortunately, it's $100 round trip for a taxi to either of the larger shopping cities, Playa del Carmen or Cancun. So the location isn't very good if that's what you're after. There weren't enough umbrella covered lounge chairs at the pools so sunburn becomes an even larger issue. Try the Ha, we were more successful with quiet and shade at their pool. This was my first stay on Puerto Morelos. My husband and I have been coming to Mexico for the past thirteen years. We don’t do all inclusive, as we like to experience the culture and local food. Our check in was smooth and Ernesto took great care with us. I was traveling with my sisters and one of their boyfriends. Ernesto was extremely helpful, giving us tips on places to visit, directions and stored our luggage for us since we arrived way before check in. The rooms were nice, nothing fancy, but very comfortable and good a.c.! The hotel was close enough to the square and walking distance to every kind of restaurant. The beach club was nice, but we spent more time at the bar and beach. Snorkeling right out from the hotel was great. You can swim quite a way out and see some beautiful fish. I saw two giant groupers, many large barracuda, angel fish, triggerfish, parrot fish, sergeant majors, stingray and more. You can take boat trips out to the reef, but I was happy swimming there and convenience of proximity to hotel. We were on the third floor of the hotel with a balcony with ocean view. I think it was room 306s. We would definitely stay there again, great price, location and staff!

Sehr schlecht! Wollte abreissen aber haben uns die Bezahlung nicht returniert! Frechheit! Hier mein Brief der Leitung:Buenas noches Maria Elena! Por favor, páselo al gerente del hotel, veo que no tiene voluntad de solucionar los problemas de su hotel. No nos interesa el traslado que usted ofrece, ¡estamos de vacaciones en un hotel *****! Al parecer, no parece haber nadie en este hotel que entienda lo sucedido. Estamos completamente insatisfechos con las siguientes cosas en su ***** hotel Grand Residences. ¡Su hotel no tiene derecho a utilizar 5 estrellas! 1. ¡Recibimos un correo electrónico con una reserva que no se puede responder! ¡En ninguna parte de esta reserva hay una dirección de correo electrónico a la que sea posible responder! ¡Intenté escribir varias veces que no estamos de acuerdo con el sistema de todo incluido! 2. Cuando llegamos, volví a desear un sistema sin todo incluido. Venimos de la guerra en Europa y lo único que necesitábamos era dormir en el calor y junto al mar. No fue posible cancelar todo incluido. ¡Pagamos el 100% del importe del alojamiento en su hotel por adelantado! ¡Es completamente inaceptable en un hotel *****! Nunca nos ha pasado en ningún lado. 3. En el chiringuito de la playa, mi mujer comió unas patatas fritas que la enfermaron durante dos días. 4. Al día siguiente cambiamos de habitación. Acordamos en la recepción que iríamos a nuestra habitación, empacaríamos y esperaríamos allí a que alguien viniera a trasladarnos. Esperamos más de una hora con todas las cosas en el pasillo a pesar de que llamé 3 veces a recepción! 5. En la nueva habitación I-301 el aire acondicionado no funcionaba y, lo peor, no había agua caliente (9.2.). Le dije al personal que encontré en el pasillo y escribí a la recepción. nadie vino a arreglar las cosas! La cena frutti di mare no estuvo al nivel de un hotel de primera, lo peor fue la falta de repostería salada.Incluso por la noche no había agua caliente y el aire acondicionado no funcionaba. ¡A eso de las 2:00 am el aire acondicionado se encendió a 15 grados centígrados! ¡Ella no lo apagó! Al día siguiente volví a informar de todo a recepción, la reparación no llegó. Así que fui a conserjería y allí volví a informar de todo. 6.Pedí nuevamente cancelar el todo incluido porque recibimos comida no comestible (costillas) en el restaurante. Señora, le he dictado 8 puntos con los que no estamos satisfechos. De nuevo no pasó nada. Por la noche fui a ver a la jefa de recepción y le pregunté si conocía todas las quejas. Ella no sabía nada porque nadie le transmitió nuestras quejas. La criada, Cecile Dzib, llamó al encargado de mantenimiento, quien abrió el agua caliente en el pasillo. Luego arregló el aire acondicionado, era sábado por la noche. Se lo repetí todo a María Elena y me prometió cita el lunes a las 12:00. Ella no vino a esta reunión!Lo consideré y pedí 1.
