This was my first stay on Puerto Morelos. My husband and I have been coming to Mexico for the past thirteen years. We don’t do all inclusive, as we like to experience the culture and local food. Our check in was smooth and Ernesto took great care with us. I was traveling with my sisters and one of their boyfriends. Ernesto was extremely helpful, giving us tips on places to visit, directions and stored our luggage for us since we arrived way before check in. The rooms were nice, nothing fancy, but very comfortable and good a.c.! The hotel was close enough to the square and walking distance to every kind of restaurant. The beach club was nice, but we spent more time at the bar and beach. Snorkeling right out from the hotel was great. You can swim quite a way out and see some beautiful fish. I saw two giant groupers, many large barracuda, angel fish, triggerfish, parrot fish, sergeant majors, stingray and more. You can take boat trips out to the reef, but I was happy swimming there and convenience of proximity to hotel. We were on the third floor of the hotel with a balcony with ocean view. I think it was room 306s. We would definitely stay there again, great price, location and staff!

This hotel is comparable to small, boutique hotel in the US. Common pool downstairs is small with only 10 pool side lounge chairs that are always taken. It was not clean and my kids eventually refused to go in after few days. However rooftop has a nice, clean adult 18+ only pool that has more chairs and covered tables and chairs area by a bar that was usually pretty empty with a nice view (if you are not traveling with minors). It has one primary restaurant for all meals ( no air conditioner at 70% humidity - yikes) that does not rotate menus ( does have separate breakfast, lunch, dinner menus but same everyday), room service, and one specialty Italian restaurant for dinner open few days a week when we were there. There is no air conditioned common area. None. If you want to get away from the Sun for a bit in a cool spot, it’s your room. No cool place to relax with a drink or play a game with your family. There really is not much of inside common area to speak of anyways but this was super annoying. Property is on the beach. Property being so tiny helps with how close you are to the ocean. The best area of the hotel was the rooftop but since no minors are allowed (even teens), I do not recommend for families. With a small common pool, barely any activities, no cooled area to hang out as a family, there is not enough to keep a family occupied. The upstairs adult only area is clean and nice, but there are so many adult only resorts that are so much bigger with way more diverse culinary options and amenities, why stay at a tiny hotel? Even at a great restaurant, eating the same menu gets old. With a restaurant that’s average, things got old very fast. We tried everything on the menu eventually trying to diversify but there were just not enough options. The quality was good but taste was bland. I think it would be good for folks on low sodium vegetarian diet though. We visit Mexico quite often and wanted to try something different from mega resorts in Cancun area, but this is far too much on the hotel side. We still wanted some nice resort amenities. What they did have was decent quality, DoubleTree level if you know the brand, but that is not what we were shooting for. Positives were - Puerto Morelos is very small but cute town less than a mile away and they have handful of bikes you can use or I just walked there. One of the biggest reef is right in front of the hotel and you can get a boat out there for $40/person that picks you up right at the beach in front of the hotel so you can snorkel for an hour or two. Ala cart menu kept us from gorging too much although we still ate more than we should’ve. :) Staff was friendly. This is a good hotel option for a brief stop. We were looking for a week-long pampering and with so many positive reviews we thought it would be great. But it unfortunately was a miss for us. We tried to make the best of it but we won’t be back.

Wir haben uns im Oktober 2021 für eine Freundin gemeldet und werden für diese Bewertung spezifische Hochzeitsartikel aufbewahren. Es gibt viele Aktivitäten im Komplex, aber wir kamen zu Freunden, hängen am Pool, essen und trinken. Insgesamt passt dies den Kriterien. In dieser Zeit war es immer noch sehr nass, aber perfekt für im Pool zu sein (nicht notwendigerweise ein Hochzeitskleid!) Zimmerservice ist bequem, aber nicht immer schnell, vor allem spät in der Nacht. Ich denke 2 Stunden+ für uns eine Nacht. Das Zimmerservice-Essen war besser als einige der Restaurants meiner Meinung nach. Wir gingen nur zum Vorbruch auf den Strand. Sie gehen durch die COVID-Tests, wenn Sie sich anmelden.

Von Anfang an sieht der Ort schön aus und die Zimmer hatten sehr große, unglaublich komfortable Bett, das ist, wo die positive Rückmeldung leider endet. Lassen Sie mich mit den Handtüchern beginnen. Nachdem ich aus der Dusche kam, öffnete ich das, was sich als ein sauber gefolgt Handtuch erschien und niedrig ein siehe ein großer brauner Skimark oder Blut steinig die Größe eines durchschnittlichen Vorderarms war auf ihm. Ich habe mich bei der Rezeption beschwert und um ein neues Handtuch gebeten, aber niemand hat sich entschuldigt oder angeboten, das alte Handtuch aus unserem Zimmer zu nehmen, das etwas merkwürdig erscheint. Zweitens wurde ich auf einem Taxifahrt nach der Stadt überladen und entdeckt, nachdem ich den Fahrer mit dem Geld bezahlt und den Fahrer im Hotel bemerkt, um die Kommission an den Empfänger zu übergeben, nachdem beide denken, ich habe im Aufzug in meinem Zimmer verlassen. Nachdem ich in den Aufzug gekommen bin, vergaß ich sofort den Empfänger um eine Platte und eine Forke zu bitten und bezeugte diese sehr beliebte “touristische Taxi-Hüsten” die ich genug von der Dauer meines Aufenthalts in Mexiko hatte. Zweitens war das Hotel-Essen auf dem gleichen Paar wie die Wirtschaftklasse auf Bord-Essen vor 15 Jahren. Die Zimmer haben weder Kleider noch Slips und die Boden sind aus Holz hergestellt, so dass das Komfortniveau etwas fehlt für den Preis. Die Fliegen und Moskitos waren im ganzen Hotel und dies begann sehr irritierend, besonders wenn man versucht, in jeder Lage im ganzen Hotel zu entspannen. Die Sauberkeit des Ortes ist unter dem Durchschnitt und das ist der Schlüsselpunkt für uns. Glücklicherweise haben wir nur 2 Nächte geblieben, weil Kiwi.com nicht bezahlen Swiss International und wir unsere Flüge verpasst haben. Ich empfehle es sehr, nicht hier zu bleiben, besonders wenn Sie ein Paar wollen, eine entspannende Flucht. Es fitted the purpose only for 2 nights! Ich empfehle jedem, in Cozumel zu bleiben und einen AirBnB zu mieten. Wir haben 5 Monate geblieben und es ist jeden Min wert. Wir lieben Mexiko immer noch.
