Lovely location in Foz for people who prefer to stay somewhere calmer than the centre of Porto. You can catch a 500 bus nearby or the tram (about 500m from hotel). The hotel is near the beachfront and overlooks a castle. The best points are the panoramic roof view out to sea, bar and pool area. There is some underground parking available. The staff were extremely helpful and even helped us get our car out of the garage. We had a large vehicle (Toyota Hilux double cab) and managed to park it in the underground car park. If you are a confident driver you can get it in. The hotel was extremely clean. Breakfast was busy but still managed to appear calm. This is a good hotel for the price in a good location. The rooms were a little hot but you can open the windows. Would we come back? Yes.

I stayed for three days on a business trip, and the hotel is very comfortable and close to the beach. The reception staff were very friendly and extremely helpful during my stay. The beds are very comfortable and the rooms are well equipped. There were some English channels on the TV, which was nice. The breakfast was good with enough variety for all tastes. The poached eggs were perfect each time.

Ein gut gelegenes Hotel an einem Kreisverkehr mit einem sehr großen unbefestigten Parkplatz in der nächsten Straße, gleich hinter dem Burger King. Die Zimmer sind geräumig, die Betten bequem und das Frühstück sehr abwechslungsreich, in kleinen Portionen. Die Badezimmer sind altmodisch und der Handtuchvorrat auf ein Minimum reduziert. Das Personal ist nicht sehr erfahren – wenn Gäste um 2:30 Uhr morgens ankommen, lassen sie sie laute Gespräche in der Lobby führen, was die Leute aufweckt, die im 2. Stock schlafen, und noch schlimmer, sie stecken sie in Zimmer, die an die bereits belegten angrenzen. Das Hotel hat 9 Stockwerke und war fast leer, aber sie haben nicht einmal die Aufmerksamkeit, diese Kunden auf einem anderen Stockwerk unterzubringen oder zumindest einen Pausenraum freizuhalten, also gingen wir erst nach 3 Uhr morgens wieder schlafen. Die Wände sind dünn und die Gespräche waren perfekt zu hören. Ein weiteres Beispiel für Unerfahrenheit: Der Rezeptionist, der nachsehen wollte, warum unser Fernseher „kein Signal“ hatte, meinte, die Wartung könne sich am nächsten Tag um das Problem (ein kaputtes Kabel) kümmern, und schien auf eine gute Idee gekommen zu sein, als ich ihm vorschlug, in ein leeres Zimmer zu gehen und sich ein identisches Kabel zu besorgen, was er gerne tat.

Das Hotel an sich ist ganz gut, Preis-Leistungen stimmt. Sehr schöner Eingangsbereich mit WOW Effekt. Jedoch Achtung vor der Nachbarschaft. Man wird auch darauf nicht hingewiesen beim einchecken. Nachts ist man auf der Strasse von komischen Menschen umgeben. Vor allem Drogensüchtigen. Besser nicht alleine laufen, vor allem nicht wenn es dunkel ist. Besser ein Taxi in die Stadt nehmen. Das kostet circa 4-6 Euro. Zimmer war ganz o. k., Safe veraltet, Minibar kühlte leider nicht. Das Zimmer wurde täglich sauber gemacht. Fussboden könnte sauberer sein- die Socken sind der Beweis. Der allgemeine Bereich ist sehr schön und das Frühstück kann man sich zwar nicht selber nehmen (Corona-Massnahmen), ist aber ganz gut. Auch wenn das Hotel nichts dafür kann, möchte ich vor allen jungen Frauen davon abraten, hier einzuchecken. Die Gegend ist wirklich alles andere als sicher. Das merkt man auch daran, dass sie einen Security Guard an der Tür stehen haben.

Warm, geräumiges Zimmer, aber leider nicht das ursprünglich vorgesehene, wir hätten ein Queen- oder King-Size-Bett haben wir am Finale 2 einfache Betten. Die Betten werden gut von Hausfrauen gemacht. Ein wenig teuer für den Preis, aber sehr schönes Hotel . Wasser ist bezahlend ist Aufmerksamkeit

I stayed here with 2 friends last week for 5 nights in a triple room. Word of warning for anyone considering a triple room - there's minimal privacy! Whilst the breakfast options are good, it can get hectic in the breakfast room. One morning, both coffee machines broke which means we had to leave the hotel to get coffee which isn't ideal. On this morning, it seems the hotel was short staffed as there was no cutlery or plates, cups, etc. We had to write this morning off and seek breakfast elsewhere, too. The young man who works the night shift seems to dislike his job, a lot. We encountered him a few times. I tried to make conversation with him on two occasions - he simply was not bothered to attempt to engage. We also got stuck in the elevator one morning. It took approx 5 minutes for a staff member to help us despite pressing the call bell three times. They powered down the elevator (to be left in complete darkness!) and once the door opened, they told us that ”this sometimes happens”. Completely unacceptable. We did meet one lovely staff member who worked at the bar. He was so courteous and helpful and always took time to chat. He's the reason this review is 3 stars as opposed to 2.

I arrived at the hotel on 20 November 2022 for a 5 night stay. The stay was business related and with so many hotels to choose from, I decided to go with the Porto Palacio. What an excellent choice! The hotel is absolutely brilliant - I cannot find a fault. Check-in was very smooth and on arrival to the room - wow - very modern, crisp clean sheets on the bed and a spacious room. In terms of food, the Breakfast experience was the best part of the stay for me. I have stayed in many hotels around the world - both on a personal basis and a business basis - I can honestly say that the breakfast staff at the Porto Palacio are the best I've ever come across. On arrival, I was seated quickly. On Day 1, the staff members memorised what I had that cannot be chosen by the buffet - for example, a tea and two plates (as I like two plates) - on Days 2 and for the rest of the trip, I didn't even need to ask. I was called by my Title and Surname on arrival. The whole experience was brilliant. I would like to mention a lady called Rosa and another lady (they both greet staff members at the door) - their hospitality skills are great and they are always smiling - nothing is too much for them. I didn't eat at the restaurant in the evening but had room service as personally, I like to relax after a day at the office. The food was of good quality and was tasty and piping hot. I used the gym during my stay - the gym is open to members of the public, therefore is not your usual hotel gym. It's huge - there are loads of machines and I was never waiting for someone to finish using something. Staff members are friendly. All in all - a brilliant stay and is a genuine 5 star hotel! I will return to the Porto Palacio both on a business basis and also on a personal basis - Porto looks like a great city! It's a shame that I didn't have time to look around as I had a busy schedule but I will certainly be back! Thank you!!

Great location close to the Metro, although a bit noisy as there is construction outside and a barking next door. The rooms are tiny with minimal amenities. This is not a 4 star hotel as our package promised. Just a heads up, they charge you for extra coffee pods. Staff here is professional and very helpful-they wear many hats! They helped us book an amazing tour. Walking distance to shopping, an amazing indoor food court, and grocery stores. The breakfast room is very nice, and has good selections.

Wir hatten uns hierher geholfen, um unser früheres ”Hotel” zu verlassen, da es so schrecklich war, dass wir hier waren, wo wir mit sehr freundlichem Personal und einer warmen Lobby gegrüßt wurden. Sie haben uns ein Zimmer sortiert und müssen uns nach unserer schlechten Erfahrung ein wirklich schönes Zimmer gegeben haben, wie wir auf dem 6. Stock im Hintergrund mit schöner Aussicht auf die Stadt. Das Zimmer selbst war wirklich groß und das Bett war extrem komfortabel. Wir schliefen so gut! Es gab ein TV, kostenloses WLAN, AC/Wärme und ein wirklich schönes Badezimmer. Die Bar-/Zimmerservicemenüs waren vernünftig bezahlt und das Personal hatte große Kenntnisse über die Stadt. Das Hotel selbst ist etwa 5/10 Minuten zu Fuß vom Hauptbahnhof, die Sie vom Flughafen ankommen, was wirklich nützlich für unsere frühe Reise am letzten Tag war. Ich würde hier nochmal bleiben, wenn ich nach Porto zurückgehe!
