Hotels in der Nähe von Farolim da Barra do Douro, Porto

Lovely location in Foz for people who prefer to stay somewhere calmer than the centre of Porto. You can catch a 500 bus nearby or the tram (about 500m from hotel). The hotel is near the beachfront and overlooks a castle. The best points are the panoramic roof view out to sea, bar and pool area. There is some underground parking available. The staff were extremely helpful and even helped us get our car out of the garage. We had a large vehicle (Toyota Hilux double cab) and managed to park it in the underground car park. If you are a confident driver you can get it in. The hotel was extremely clean. Breakfast was busy but still managed to appear calm. This is a good hotel for the price in a good location. The rooms were a little hot but you can open the windows. Would we come back? Yes.

Ich war noch nie daran gewöhnt, in Hotels wie Jugendherbergen, bei dem Einwohner oder sogar im Campingplatz überall auf der Welt zu reisen. Natürlich ist das Essen des Selbst zu essen und es sollte nicht anspruchsvoll sein. Ich war mit 3 Freundinnen in einem Zimmer, das auf Turns gab und wir nehmen die gemeinsamen Duschen und WC. Auf den 3 WC, niemand schloss an Schlüssel. Also, als wir ankamen, hatten wir die gute Überraschung, Haare und Haare auf unseren Fliesen zu haben. Natürlich ist das Personal einladend, aber wenn wir eine Bettwäsche (siehe Photo) auf einem unserer Matratzen gesehen haben, hat er nicht das notwendige getan. En effet, il s'est contenté de venir dans la chambre afin d'asperger la punaise de lit avec une bombe spéciale puis il l'a retiré avec un mouchoir et a seulement changé le drape du sous. Wir blieben noch die andere Hälfte der Woche in diesem Hostel und wir haben weder Bett noch Zimmer verändert, während die Punishes in den Matelas sind und daher eine besondere Intervention erforderlich. Überraschend ging ich zu den Ansichten über das Hostel und ich war weit davon entfernt, die einzige zu haben, die Punishes de lit gefunden hat. Kurz gesagt, ich empfehle Ihnen dieses Hostel nicht, wenn Sie einen guten Aufenthalt in Porto haben wollen.

Waren frueher schon in diesem Hotel und waren begeistert, so langsam ist das Hotel schon ganz schön in die Jahre gekommen. Wir hatten ein renoviertes Zimmer das war ganz schoen und vorallem sauber und hatten wir ine tolle aussicht. Was überhaupt nicht geht ist das Frühstück kann man sich sparen alles sehr lieblos und der Toaster funktioniert nicht scheint aber keinen zu interessieren. Fazit: Ist ok ob wir nochmal hier her kommen würden hmmm denke ja aber nur ein renoviertes zimmer ohne Frühstück

Klassisches Businesshotel mit schönen Zimmern, sehr freundlichem Personal (Concierge, Rezeption, Servicepersonal), gutes WLAN und für mich überraschend gutes Mittagsbuffet. Zum Frühstück gibt es eine große Auswahl, mit dem Taxi ist man in knapp 10 Minuten in der Altstadt. Wer schwimmen will, kann dies entweder im hoteleigenen Hallenbad oder im Außenpool, der sich im 15. Stock (inkl. Bar) befindet.

Dieses Hotel kommt spät an und geht früh, ohne sorgfältige Beobachtung. Erstens ist es ein bisschen schwierig, es mit dem Auto alleine zu finden. Viele Städte in Portugal haben ein bisschen Chongqing-Bedeutung. Wenn Sie eine Kreuzung verpassen, müssen Sie einen großen Kreis umrunden. Zweitens den gleichen Namen Hotels am selben Ort haben rote und grüne Farben. Sie können keine Fehler machen, welche gebucht sind, und akzeptieren sich nicht gegenseitig. Drittens ist der Zimmertyp klein und Familienreisen werden nicht empfohlen. Viertens ist der Preis etwas teurer. Die fünfte und vierundzwanzig Stunden. Es gibt Restaurants, die gut schmecken, sechstens gibt es kostenlose Parkplätze. Da ich zu spät ankam, ohne Fotos zu machen, ist die Hygiene gut. Wenn Ihnen der Preis nichts ausmacht, können Sie darüber nachdenken.

Das Zimmer war sehr sauber, aber sehr klein

Location is what I need away from the hotel in a busy city center. Room modern and confort. Staff helpful. Love the sauna and hamam. Breakfast many variety for bread and sweet pastry (I like to have boile egg in breakfast sometimes). I use Uber 6euros to city center. I do use my car to visit the seaside Afurada ,the Wine Valley Dauro etc. I wanted to highlight hotel should provide free bottle of water in the room upon arrival (is very common that traveler does not drink enough during moving). Warm, geräumiges Zimmer, aber leider nicht das ursprünglich vorgesehene, wir hätten ein Queen- oder King-Size-Bett haben wir am Finale 2 einfache Betten. Die Betten werden gut von Hausfrauen gemacht. Ein wenig teuer für den Preis, aber sehr schönes Hotel . Wasser ist bezahlend ist Aufmerksamkeit

I arrived at the hotel on 20 November 2022 for a 5 night stay. The stay was business related and with so many hotels to choose from, I decided to go with the Porto Palacio. What an excellent choice! The hotel is absolutely brilliant - I cannot find a fault. Check-in was very smooth and on arrival to the room - wow - very modern, crisp clean sheets on the bed and a spacious room. In terms of food, the Breakfast experience was the best part of the stay for me. I have stayed in many hotels around the world - both on a personal basis and a business basis - I can honestly say that the breakfast staff at the Porto Palacio are the best I've ever come across. On arrival, I was seated quickly. On Day 1, the staff members memorised what I had that cannot be chosen by the buffet - for example, a tea and two plates (as I like two plates) - on Days 2 and for the rest of the trip, I didn't even need to ask. I was called by my Title and Surname on arrival. The whole experience was brilliant. I would like to mention a lady called Rosa and another lady (they both greet staff members at the door) - their hospitality skills are great and they are always smiling - nothing is too much for them. I didn't eat at the restaurant in the evening but had room service as personally, I like to relax after a day at the office. The food was of good quality and was tasty and piping hot. I used the gym during my stay - the gym is open to members of the public, therefore is not your usual hotel gym. It's huge - there are loads of machines and I was never waiting for someone to finish using something. Staff members are friendly. All in all - a brilliant stay and is a genuine 5 star hotel! I will return to the Porto Palacio both on a business basis and also on a personal basis - Porto looks like a great city! It's a shame that I didn't have time to look around as I had a busy schedule but I will certainly be back! Thank you!!

Booked for a week long stay in this hotel, & was disappointed on arrival. Receptionist was rude, the room was completely visible from the street with no privacy curtains, so we could either keep the blackout curtains completely closed or have absolutely no privacy from a very busy intersection. Also, the toilet seat, bathroom door & air conditioning were all broken or faulty. We didn’t make a fuss because we were planning to spend our days out & at the beach, which is 10 min walk away. But we then had a family emergency back home & had to cut our trip short, & rearrange our flights urgently. We asked about getting a partial refund for the days we couldn’t stay, offering to pay a cancellation fee, as we were trying to pay for last minute flights home. The receptionist was INCREDIBLY rude & dismissive. He not only refused to help, but told us to “go away” for a few hours, saying he would call management but refused to do so on the spot, for no reason. We told him we were in a hurry trying to arrange flights home & he simply shrugged, annoyed. He didn’t try to call anyone or suggest he couldn’t at that time, he was simply refusing to & told us to go away for a few hours, when we were trying to make urgent arrangements. I called Urban Hotel offices seven times with no response, emailed about the situation & got no assistance, no refund, no credit, no basic help. An utterly subpar hotel, but the lack of politeness, basic respect & compassion was appalling. Would advise against staying here.
