We enjoyed our one night stay in Playa del Carmen and we were glad to have chosen this place. Our room was spacious, very clean and had modern furnishings. We booked our room to include a free breakfast (from the healthy cafe/shop next door) but it wasn't worth what we paid; small cup of coffee, 2 pieces of toast and a few small pieces of fruit. However, the hotel has an excellent location - close to the beach, shopping, restaurants and night life. As well, the hot tub on the balcony was amazing and we will definitely come back and book with Soho Playa Hotel again!....minus the free ”breakfast.”

Ich würde dieses Hotel nicht empfehlen. Es gab keine Wasserversorgung im Zimmer und keine Stromversorgung im Gemeindebereich (was bedeutet keine Aufzug) für unsere letzte Nacht. Wir müssen unsere schweren Gepäck auf die Treppen abnehmen, um herauszuchecken. Der Empfänger versprach, das Geld für letzte Nacht zurückzuzahlen, aber unser Buchungsagent sagte, das Hotel ist nicht erreichbar, da sie nie auf Telefongespräche oder E-Mails antworten, so dass unsere Rückzahlungsanfrage noch in Betracht gezogen ist. Das Hotel hat sich verpflichtet, sofort unsere Rückzahlung vorzunehmen, aber das ist natürlich nicht der Fall. Ich bin wirklich enttäuscht über meinen Aufenthalt.

This new hotel is in a great location, within walking distance to 5th Street, the beaches, and the local community. A+ for location! There is also a beautiful and expansive supermarket right under the hotel to get whatever culinary needs you require. We were upgraded to a balcony room as Bonvoy Titanium,.The price point of the Aloft was also a value, and it is a good bargain in using Marriott Bonvoy points. Javier that checked us in was lovely and gracious, and all staff were pleasant and professional. Aloft is an unusual hotel--one that wants to be a wanna-be hip W Hotel and also a Fairfield Inn for Gen Z'ers. It didn't do either very well, unfortunately. The staff wanted to do well, and perhaps there are still newly opened growing pains that will be worked out. Housekeeping was promised daily, but on 3 out of the 5 days we had to call Housekeeping after returning from the day;'s activities to service the room (which they did right away when called) but this was a big fail. The purified water dispenser in the nice gym was often empty. And generally the upkeep of the hotel is not or was not a priority. It's nice and new and ”hip looking” but metal surfaces and walls by the pool on the 4th floor are rusting already, and little bits of trash on the hallway carpeting remained for the 5 days which showed they didn't vacuum the common areas as often as should be. Room A/C and common area A./C were great! 4th floor pool has city and sea views in the distance and we could often see Cozumel and the cruise ships anchored there in the far distance on most days. I wanted the stay to be great, but it was good.

Das ist ein sehr schönes kleines Hotel mit außergewöhnlicher Service. Wir bleiben hier, wenn wir in Playa del Carmen sind. Sie fühlen sich so komfortabel an diesem Ort, dass Sie wirklich wie zu Hause fühlen. Dies war unser fünftes Mal und wir blieben für 8 Tage. Das Hotel liegt 5 Gehminuten vom Strand und zwei Blocks von der Quinta Avenida entfernt, das ist das Herz von Playa del Carmen, voll von Restaurants, Bars und Cafés, aber trotzdem ist das Hotel sehr ruhig und die Umgebung ist sehr entspannt. Und dieser Ort ist günstig, wenn Sie die Preise in Playa del Carmen berücksichtigen. Wir empfehlen es stark!

Das Hotel ist nah am Meer, online buchen ist viel günstiger, es gibt ca. 10 kostenlose Parkplätze, der Gesundheitszustand ist gut, die Zimmer sind relativ groß, die Dekoration ist etwas alt, das Badezimmer ist nicht sehr gut, es gibt ein Schwimmbad, sonstige Einrichtungen sind nicht zu sehen Supermärkte und Restaurants befinden sich in der näheren Umgebung. Es ist sehr bequem, Dinge zu essen und zu kaufen. Am Strand gibt es viele Bars und Souvenirläden.

We didn’t actually stay here because when we got to the hotel, they said my reservation was canceled. We didn’t cancel it, they did without telling us. And there were no other rooms available. I have filed a complaint with Travelocity, which shows that the reservation is still active. I prepaid it the room 5 months ago when I made the reservation thru Travelocity. If I don’t get my money back I’ll file a dispute with my credit card company. Luckily we were able to find another hotel, which cost more. Terrible customer service! Don’t stay here!!

Alles war sehr gut, die Anlagen sind ein bisschen alt, aber groß, von den Vorschlägen wäre, dass sie einen Haartrockner in die Zimmer hinzufügen und die Handtücher ändern, weil wir während unseres Aufenthalts nicht änderten. Wäschetücher und nicht einmal.

I don’t even know where to start. Residence Inn at Marriot Playa Del Carmen has to be on of my pleasant hotel experiences ever. Starting from the positive vibe you feel as soon as you enter the premises all the way to when you checkout, they make you feel like a truly valued guest. Staff Everyone keeps smiling at you and they always try their best to accommodate your requests. Willy(security) was always there to assist whenever we arrived at the hotel. He was very professional and knowledgeable of the area, so he could put you on the right track regardless of which destination you were trying to get to. Gabriela (front desk) was super pleasant to work with during our check-in, when we had to extend our stay and every others time we had to request assistance from her. She always had a smile on her face and truly made us feel welcome. Cleanness The hotel appears to be brand new, with modern amenities and great décor. They keep all the common areas squeaky clean. I had to work from my room, so oftentimes when Domingo and Paulina came by to clean the room, I was in the middle of a meeting, but they never gave up on me and kept coming back until they made sure my room was clean on daily basis. Amenities Considering it is a hotel, they have an amazing gym and rooftop pool. I was hesitant about working out there at first when I made a reservation, but after seeing the equipment, size and clean environment they have at the gym, I actually looked forward to working out in the mornings. Food They serve decent breakfast(included) in the mornings between 7 to 10 am. They also have a specious dining area, so you will never have an issue finding a table. Waiters are also amazing, they try everything they can to make sure you have a pleasant dining experience. Thank you for an amazing experience, we will be back!
