Summary: Novotel BH provides a comfortable stay, with an excellent on site restaurant, but some service quality issues with the front desk staff take the shine off the experience. The good: Room: room is large compared to other Novotel I have stayed at recently. Big, comfortable bed and a large, hot, high-pressure shower. Excellent black out curtains and in room AC. Nice views of the city as well and surrounding hills. I got to enjoy a spectacular lightning storm on my last night. Restaurant: the on site restaurant is excellent, so much so I left a seperate review for that. Sebastiao and the restaurant team are fantastic and so was the food. Housekeeping: thank you to the team for their excellent service each day. Including leaving me a nice note when they heard my guest was unwell the night before and provided new towels and sheets on request without any issues. The bad: Accor status recognition: there was no recognition of my gold status on check-in and the welcome gift was a strange keychain/bottle opener; rather than the standard water or food item that I would have much preferred. A welcome note was left in the room, but in Portuguese. Front desk: check-in was a rough experience. When I arrived there were four staff, none who were serving customers and they all nudged each other while giggling to gesture for someone else to serve me. This property does share an entrance with the adjacent Ibis Budget - from this experience I thought I may have entered the wrong hotel. There is extremely limited English spoken by the front desk staff as well, my check in was conducted via grunts and nods. Keycard: thankfully not as bad as my recent experience at the Novotel in Rio, but my keycard stopped working twice during my three night stay - forcing me to waste time going to the front desk. Conclusion: with some retraining and enhancements to the service provided by the front desk, this hotel could easily become a four star rating. Right now, it’s just average in my opinion.

The Hotel Fasano in Belo Horizonte, with its inimitable style emblematic of the Fasano chain, sits elegantly within the city, a beacon of refined hospitality. The reception, graced by friendly and charming staff, occasionally speaking German, is a delight. The diversity among the staff is a refreshing sight, adding to the hotel’s charm; the presence of a receptionist adorned with numerous tattoos was a particularly cool touch. The concierge service is exceedingly diligent and dedicated, a testament to the hotel’s commitment to guest satisfaction. They provided us with complimentary concert tickets, allowing us to enjoy a splendid evening filled with music. The restaurant, known for its excellence, operates with impressive efficiency. The waitstaff are alert and provide exceptional service, though the presence of multiple restaurant managers, or Chefs de Service, occasionally obstructs the flow. While the cuisine is commendable, the breakfast service is notably slow. The rooms are immaculate and spacious, offering a comfortable retreat. However, the lack of razors and the inconsistent replenishment of soap were minor inconveniences. Despite these small flaws, the hotel remains a magnificent and impressive establishment. Our stay was beautiful and restful, a testament to the high standards of the Fasano experience.

Das Hotel ist gut zu finden und auch von weitem schon sichtbar. Wir waren mit dem Auto unterwegs. Die Dame am Empfang hat uns abgewimmelt und gesagt, dass man nur ins Parkhaus fahren muss und dann passt das schon, gratis. Nix da, wir mussten bei der ersten Ausfahrt alles bezahlen. Dann kamen wir zum Check In. Dort war ein Herr (nennen wir ihn Leonardo), der uns den Zimmerschlüssel übergab. Da wir Diamant Mitglieder sind musste ich selbst nach dem Voucher für ein Willkommensgetränk fragen. Dann hat man uns ein besseres Zimmer versprochen, aber ein Standard Zimmer haben wir erhalten. Als wir nach einem Umzug fragten (wir wollten ein Doppelbett) wurden wir abgeschmettert mit einer miesen Laune des Mitarbeiters. Seine Reaktion wirkte homophob. Nach einer späteren Rückfrage haben wir dann ein richtiges Upgrade bekommen. Das Zimmer ist sehr modern und wohl neu renoviert. Die Gänge sind alt und teilweise ist der Teppich ziemlich schmutzig. Das wars mit dem Negativen. Positiv waren das reichhaltige Frühstück mit einer großen Auswahl (obwohl hier nicht wirklich auf die Corona Regeln geachtet wurden), das Gym und der Pool. Sehr angenehm. Beim nächsten Mal werden wir aber wohl ein anderes Hotel der Accor Gruppe testen.

A simpatia das recepcionistas é ímpar! Parabéns íbis BH contorno. O padrão íbis sempre presente, por isso sempre escolho íbis ! Podem escolher sem receio, rede íbis não decepciona ! A localização do íbis av contorno também é um ponto a mais, perto da Savassi e dos melhores pontos de BH

Sehr gut, das Zimmer ist nicht groß, aber sehr sauber, und alle Einrichtungen haben, Kühlschrank, Schlauch, Schrank, Safe, Frühstück ist auch sehr reichhaltig, gerade im Zentrum der Stadt, in der Nähe der Gegend ist es sehr bequem, das nächste Mal zu leben!

The location is great, but there are a number of similar hotels around with better services for the same rates. Despite the very polite personel, the hotel finishing is very poor (carpet, curtains etc), with less than adequate commodites: there are no power sources close to the bed so you cannot charge your cell overnight while having it handy, the TV only shows free/basic channels (4 religious and Globo), the shower door was broken, they do not offer hand towels, and won't lend you a cup or glass if you need it.

O hotel é fantástico, porém um hotel deste porte não funcionar a Internet e em pleno domingo dois elevadores não estar funcionando jerou um grande transtorno, ainda mais pelo evento que teve neste dia ...lamentável

Ich habe dieses Hotel gewählt, weil es eine Geschäftsreise war und es war das nächste von dem Kompromiss, den ich hatte, aber es bleibt ”isoliert” und ist nicht in der Nähe des Zentrums von BH. Die Handtücher waren sauber, aber sie hatten einen anderen und seltsamen Geruch. Die Decke war großartig und die Luft funktionierte super gut, aber es gab Rottgepäck-Marken auf den weißen Wänden, was ich für ein schlimmer pro Zimmer halten. Er war sehr dunkel, und da er auf einem hohen Stock war, hatte er keinen Lärm, der Kühlschrank funktionierte gut und war sehr nützlich. Ich hatte mehr von dem Frühstück erwartet, ich hatte im Grunde Brot und wenige Frucht- und Saftoptionen. Ich war verrückt von dem Käsebrot, aber es war kalt. Glücklicherweise beginnt der Kaffee sehr früh, um 6 Uhr, also für die Verlobten ist es großartig. Und für mich war es nur ein Tages- und Geschäftsreise.

Das Hotel ist sehr gut gelegen. Ich fand die Service einiger Mitarbeiter ein wenig kalt. Ich verstehe nicht, dass die Gebühren bei der Eincheckung erhoben werden, aber ich war gerade damals auf der Zeit für eine Verpflichtung, und gerade damals fand ich den Beamten, der nicht bereit war, die Gebühren zu erklären. Im Übrigen ist das Hotel sehr gut, das Frühstück gut gefallen und die meisten Mitarbeiter sind freundlich und aufmerksam. Die Parkplätze werden getrennt gezahlt. Ich empfehle das Hotel und würde/Ich würde dort wieder bei anderen Gelegenheiten bleiben.

I have NEVER given a hotel revireew. I travel extensively. The Reception staff was friendly, courteous, helpful, et.... The Hotel is well located for anyone needing to go downtown, Savassi area, Shopping Centers, et.. Casa dos Contos is within 60 second walking and is Excellent for dine in or take out. The Garage is inexpensive, handy, and they park your car. The beds are King, American King that is, and wonderful. The cleaning staff is prompt, friendly, et. The price was excellent. I've stayed here several times over the last few years. I would highly recommend this hotel for business, leisure. Only real negative was the room service food. Ordered a Picanha burger. It was greasy, awful tasting, salty etc.. But the Breakfast was excellent. Restaurant is not run by the hotel.
