BreakFree Grand Pacific Caloundra

Booked in April, 2 weeks after booking renovations started, was not advised of renovations until 3 days prior to stay, was advised work was only Monday to Friday, they started work at 6am Saturday morning. No access to pool or BBQ facilities, no offer of compensation or anything.

Was a lovely apartment and positioned perfectly to restaurants and the beach. Most of the staff were friendly. For the most part our stay was great and room was exactly as described. Pool was being renovated at the time however looks like when the work is complete it will be an amazing outdoor space.

Just to make it clear, prior to my stay I’d hade two calls from the property to say that the pool would be closed for building works. That wasn’t a problem as my trip was for business What I wasn’t warned about was getting to my room. Access to the room on the ‘boardwalk’ was via two basement car parks – down a lift thru a car park, up a lift, thru another car park, then up another lift (truly). Fortunately Arrived at 5.50pm to find reception closed – information said open until 6pm. Next day I was locked out of my room as I hadn’t provided my details. Room was well equipped and comfortable but had more instructions than you’d get at an AirBnB run by an obsessive owner. It also listed that Wi-Fi had to be paid for – although I did later find information on access.

Brilliant and very helpful staff (thank you Stacey ), beautiful and nicely done apartment (roof top). Very high standard of cleanness, equipped kitchen, a gorgeous place to rest and relax. The beach right there! Can’t wait to go back, thank you all staff at Breakfree Caloundra

Loved our stay,had a lovely apartment with view of the water.Had a walk in shower,that was excellent.Location is great with shops,cafes,restaurants and supermarket easy walk distance to.Weather was cloudy but warm.Staff were friendly but late checkin instructions were confusing following red arrows and 3 different lifts .Total adventure getting to our apartment.

We really enjoyed our stay! Caloundra is beautiful and this accommodation was lovely, central and very comfortable! Great views of the water, spa bath and comfy bed! Made our stay very relaxing! I would recommend this property to anyone visiting the area.

Get a rooftop spa. Enjoyed the weekend in a 3brm rooftop spa. Was amazing. Huge room. Heaps of supplies huge balconies. Plenty of towels supplied. Heaps of glasses and plates in the kitchen. Main room had a spa. Lounge very comfortable. Booked again already

We have a lovely stay here. Very convenient location, and well equip. Kitchen with all you need. Laundry with washing powder and dryer make a week stay very comfortable. If the wifi can work faster and better that will be great help. Small gym on site is good.

Old and outdated this building is tired the only thing it really has going for it is location but then again with Bulcock street being left behind with the progress of the Sunshine Coast the whole area feels very old. Our room was dark & dingy the spa on the balcony was just the old spa from the bathroom being moved on to the balcony making the balcony small. Good things was good that they provided secure parking and luggage trolleys. The hallways are old and no vibe to them. After we had already booked they told us they were updating the pool area if we choose to cancel our booking because it was no refundable it would cost us $500 Probably would not f been nice to mention this on the booking page not tell guests after the fact, nothing like getting woken every morning at 8am by the sounds of a jack hammer The Grand pacific is over 20 years old and it shows it’s old fashioned and tired
