I booked this hotel as part of a package holiday based on the reviews and I have to say I was not disappointed. On arrival, I was greeted with a very friendly welcome by Fatima who explained the hotels facilities in great detail. I arrived just after 12pm and despite check in not being until 4pm, Fatima worked hard to get a room available for me much quicker. Within an hour, I was in my room for no extra cost - something I appreciated after a very early start! First impressions were that the hotel was clean, recently renovated and had a friendly 'family' vibe to it. I was allocated a 1 bedroomed apartment in block 'C' on the 2nd floor, with a pool view from my balcony. My room was clean, smelt fresh and was inviting. The air conditioning worked perfectly to provide me with heating during the night, as being February, it was a little chilly! I did not use the kitchen to cook, but it was stocked plentiful with utensils, plates and crockery. The only thing it lacked was cleaning supplies (but this is explained beforehand) so it may be worth taking a sponge and some washing up liquid with you if you do intend to cook. The fridge was great, with a small freezer compartment if you needed to keep something frozen. The lounge area was great with a relatively new smart TV which allowed access to things like Netflix. The sofa was comfy enough for an hour or so. There was ample information provided in the apartment and multiple QR codes to scan to find out further information. The bed was very comfy with fluffy pillows, there were plug sockets either side of the bed - a must for charging your phone nowadays! The curtains were adequate, but couldn't be completely closed so were by no means 'blackout'. I wore earplugs at night because I found the neighbours a little loud (but not excessive) but slept soundly each night. The only negative point I have about the hotel is the fact a mini-market is advertised, yet it was closed completely for the whole duration of my 4 night stay. This was a little disappointing as the nearest alternative supermarket is a 15 minute walk away, which seems longer when you need to carry bottled water. To get around I used Uber and Bolt, these were very cheap, much cheaper than a local taxi. Always check both apps before ordering, as there's always a price difference between them (and for some journeys it was as much as a 50% difference!). Overall, I really enjoyed my stay and I will return if I ever visit that part of Portugal again.
