The Woods Retreat

Loved our stay at the resort. We were a family of four and had booked the Family Suite, which had a connected balcony with breathtaking views of the pine trees. Rooms and bathroom were comfortable and clean. Staff were courteous and attentive at the front desk as well as at the restaurant. Plenty of food options in the menu. We tried the Pahari Thali for dinner and loved it. Not much to do at the property apart from relaxing in your room although there are some indoor activities for the kids. The property can arrange treks for a fee to a nearby river. We had a great time at this property and would love to come again on our next visit to Lansdowne.

We (Couple with a 3yr old) had an amazing stay at the Woods Retreat, Lansdowne. The location is the key here. It is at the top and with beautiful mountain and forest views. Property is well maintained and well guarded (fencing and men) since it is set slightly away from the hill hustle. The staff is very good. Food options are decent. Breakfast is wholesome. This is the best place to be with yourself and nature. The cottages are cozy and the evening Pahadi chai is something one shall not miss if you are staying here. There is a serene music at play during the morning and evening hours. The views are amazing from everywhere at this place. Cons There is no walkable market area nearby. So ensure to get your supplies if needed. Recreational activities are limited to board games. Live music is available only on call basis and dependent on weather since they perform in the open. Overall, we had a great stay here and a moderate rainfall enhanced our experience at this place. In my opinion, while visiting hill stations, one shall choose a place with mesmerising hill /valley /forest views with ample parking space , good hospitality and this place offers that.

The stay was very good here the food was very good , specially the ala carte would prefer that over the buffet and enjoyed there children can also playany games like badminton and Uno etc the stay was very good enjoyed it they even have Live music

Beautiful place! I would highly recommend you to visit this place. The staff is super friendly, the pictures don't justify the mesmerizing view and it's a paradise away from the hustle bustle of the city. The pine trees surrounding the property gives the getaway you're looking for!

This resort is nestled in midst of dense pine wood tress with lush green scenery all around . We booked Octagon Luxury Cottage and the room was so so beautiful with a sit out / balcony attached to it with serene views of the mountains They have a restaurant, The GLASS HOUSE , it’s very very beautiful place to be for food , coffee etc Would really like to appreciate the services given by the team of Glass House Restaurant, food is super tasty and it’s very mesmerising from outside , specially during the night when the lights are on . Very good places to walk 2-3 KM from either side of the resort , we used to walk in the morning and evening , it was a perfect nature walk Overall I would rate this 10/10 Wonderful

Food was super excellent...excellent service and behavior of staff...definitely give a try..!! Go for it...great location। best view..glass house restaurant and cooking team was very great..if u come here to lansdown great to stay...close to all famous locations

Fridge not available, better if they can provide. Games options needs to increase. Limited options. But overall experience was good. I recommend this resort to others to stay. Food was good. Near to city centre. Buffet , they can increase few options. Otherwise quite good still. Rates a bit high, they can provide few more facilities.

It was a nice experience to be with WOODS family, they have tried level best to provide best services, but, what real paucity is. They are not at a easy accessible place without a vehicle of your own. While your charges are exorbitant, at least you can serve fritters with Hi Tea. I have been to many place's and enjoyed Hi Tea. So please add something more to your hyped HI TEA😊 They should make arrangements for guests, like a cab of their own, for travellers to facilitate them have glimpse of places of repute in Lansdowne. Rest all is fine, just fine 😊

A sheer stroke of good luck led me, my wife and daughter to Landsdowne and to Woods Retreat Resort two days ago and we had a wonderful experience. Lush green scenic view of majestic mountains made doubly attractive by the sheer location and comfort of the resort has made the visit memorable. Shri Promod Pant, Chief Manager of the resort, treated us like family and gave us best healthy dishes, especially from Uttrakhand, which we enjoyed. The staff was too good and spacious rooms very cozy. We would like to visit soon again and recommend this place and resort to all the friends. B.L. Vohra IPS Retd.
