MMama CheetahWe ended up at the Daytona Grande after the Hilton Oceanfront overbooked and we were on our way with no place to stay! Admittedly not the safest, but I had to book this place while driving from the Orlando airport and just looking for something that wasn’t a total dive but still decently priced without a ton of extra fees. No free breakfast here which is something I especially appreciate as a family of 6, but in this case it was just me and my teenage son in town for an archery championship. After the highly stressful day of travel we had, the Grande was like a little slice of Heaven! It was clean, quiet, and beautiful. We decided after having to skip lunch with flight delays and all that, we just wanted a good meal and a good bed and we got exactly that. My son and I split truffle fries to start, the crusted crab filet, and beignets for dessert. All were wonderful (and we’re from Dallas where there is no shortage of excellent food) and enjoyed Oceanside on the dimly lit quiet patio. My only criticism is that the tables should be turned perpendicularly to the ocean and hotel so that everyone at the table gets a view of both rather than one facing a wall while the other faces the ocean.
Rooms were nicely decorated, had comfortable, intuitive lighting, handy USB plugs, and most importantly REALLY COMFORTABLE BEDS! We have a Tempurpedic at home so my sleep is usually pretty abysmal at hotels. Now, this wasn’t as comfy as home, but I slept hard and woke without being sore since the bed was genuinely comfortable.
My only complaints about the room were that the window sheers, while stylish, really gave no privacy at all, so if you wanted privacy you had to sacrifice light. Water pressure wasn’t great and the bathroom needed more towel bars and hooks. This would’ve been way more of a nuisance with the whole family, but they also came midday and restocked towels and made up the beds, which we see less and less of these days, even at nice hotels in the name of being “green”. But it was spacious and clean and otherwise nicely equipped.
Elevators were fast and never held us up. Beach access from the elevator was nice as we didn’t have to walk through the lobby in swimsuits. Parking was slightly inconvenient being caddy corner across the street, but not bad at all. We considered but didn’t try room service mainly due to price and unknown wait (when we had tournament times to consider) but the little shop/cafe in the lobby was great and convenient and priced about as you’d expect (pricey, but not too ridiculous). We got coffee and breakfast sandwiches both days.
I think the biggest issue with this place is the visibility. It’s tall to be sure so you’re not going to miss it, but the entrance and signage is on the far side and behind a little aqua building (I think called Sand Dunes) which had to be apartments or a teeny hotel that I can only assume refused to sell to the Grande in development so the Grande built around it. It keeps it from having the opulent entrance that the Hilton does

JJennywlzDie geografische Lage des Hotels ist sehr gut, weil es hartstein ist, ist der Preis viel höher als der umliegende Hotel. Es ist gerade am Wochenende zu verbringen, plus Steuern und Feriengebühren für fast 4.000 Nächte großes Bettbalkon. Die schöne Landschaft ist ungeschickt. Das Fenster ist die Atlantische, die Fenster sind gerade auf dem Sonnenuntergang. Besonders im August ist der Sonnenuntergang in Orlando um 7 Uhr erhoben. Es braucht nicht früh zu erhoben. Ich schaue auf den Sonnenuntergang und sehe ihn, es ist sehr begeistert!

SStevenDie obere Etage war großartig. Die Aussicht ist wunderschön Terrasse war komfortabel. Das Zimmer war sehr ruhig, obwohl es in der Nähe des Aufzugs war, gab es überhaupt keine Probleme. Die Betten waren bequem, die Kissen waren sehr weich, aber nicht mein Stil, aber sie waren großartig. Der Whirlpool hat keine Düsen. Justin an der Rezeption sagte, da das Wasser heiß war, funktionierte es halb. Ich hatte insgesamt eine tolle Zeit und würde wieder hier übernachten, es liegt direkt am Strand und es hat einen guten Pool, einen schönen Kinderschwimmbereich, der vom Pool mit Zaun getrennt ist und der Parkplatz war kostenlos. Alle Mitarbeiter waren insgesamt sehr nett

AAnnelise GomezDas Hotel war schön und sauber. Das Personal war super freundlich!! A++ Onlt-Schwächter war, dass wir extra für Oceanview bezahlt und unser Zimmer war an der Seite, so sahen wir einen SLIVER des Ozeans von unserem Balkon. Nicht vor dem Ozean überhaupt. Der Pool war kalt- aber ich denke, dass dieses Jahr erwartet werden soll.
Insgesamt würde es wieder bleiben, aber nicht für den Meerblick spielen.

GGastnutzerThe hotel was clean however the sink in the room was hard to go down. The elevators hardly worked right and the time to wait for it was horrible. Also no where on the door for it state you would have to pay $40 a night to park. Which is ridiculous after you spend so much for the room. The wait time to even pull up to hotel was crazy and the line was all the way out to the road. The location was great it was on the beach but these issues and for being a Hilton was horrible. The workers were all nice as can be but the hotel itself was horrible. Will not stay again.

GGastnutzerHotel was mostly clean and location is good for vehicle users, otherwise it's a 30min bus ride or overpriced taxi from Daytona Beach Bus or Greyhound Station.
Service was mediocre. Despite having good staff levels, they purposely only have 1 person at check in and check out leading up long queues and rude service, interrupted by staff answering calls and speaking to other staff.
Despite what their DIRECT website states, they offer no breakfast and no complimentary drinks on arrival or happy hour.
A mixed bag overall and only worth staying here if you get a good deal.

GGastnutzerDie Lage war perfekt für das, was wir brauchten. Der Pool war schön und der Zugang zum Strand war perfekt. Das Personal war weniger als einladend und einige waren nur unsinnig. Die Zimmer waren gut groß, aber HOT. Ich musste einen Fan zum Schlafen kaufen. Die AC-Einheiten funktionieren nicht wie sie sollten. Der Fan im Badezimmer tut es nicht. Die Tür musste mit der Tür offen atmen. Die Türen versiegeln nicht so, dass noch mehr heiße Luft in ein bereits heißes Zimmer. Wenn mein Zimmer nicht vorbezahlt worden wäre, würde ich nach der ersten Nacht verlassen. Wir waren krank, versuchten zu schlafen. Diese LqQuinta lebt nicht bis zu den vielen, die ich über die Jahre geblieben habe. Sehr enttäuscht!
