As the name implies, these are serviced apartments, it’s not a hotel. The location is slightly further from the beach than most tourist conveniences, but Paje is not big (we’re talking anbout 350m), and not being on the centre of tourism suits me better. It is quiet, has everything one needs, and John, the manager, was great. I would definitely stay here again. The only thing I might suggest was a discomfort, was that when we had one of the notorious big island-wide blackouts for almost 12 hours, Nebo wasn’t the most prepared. I actually come from a country that has struggled with constant electricity for several years. Generators, solar lights, and more than anything, reassurance for tourists who may not know the area, are useful. The cooker is gas, and cellphones come with torches, so I was completely fine. It just would have been good I think, given how quiet it was, to check. I’d still recommend it.

My stay at Samawa Living was absolutely phenomenal! From the moment I arrived, I felt an incredible sense of warmth and care from the staff. As a solo traveller, I was made to feel so safe and seen, which made the experience even more special. It truly felt like a home away from home. I’d like to give a special thanks to Kadogo, Hashimu, Baby, Asha, and the rest of the amazing team who went above and beyond to make my stay unforgettable. Their genuine kindness and attentive service stood out in every interaction. The location of the hotel was perfect – close to the iconic Paje Beach, with convenient access via buggy, so I could enjoy the beauty of the area while still retreating to the calm and peaceful atmosphere of the hotel. The boho vibes of Samawa Living were stunning, with every detail thoughtfully designed to create a cosy and serene environment. From the delicious meals to the immaculate rooms and tranquil ambience, everything about Samawa Living exceeded my expectations. I can’t wait to return! If you’re looking for a safe, stylish, and welcoming place to stay in the Paje area, I highly recommend it.

Das war so ein schöner Aufenthalt. Zu Beginn mit dem Personal, das so freundlich, hilfreich und an allen Fragen schnell teilnahm. Der Ort selbst ist erstaunlich und ich liebe mein Zimmer, ich wünschte nur, es gab einen großen Spiegel im Zimmer, so dass ich meine Fitness überprüfen konnte. Sie waren sehr groß auf Reinigung und Aufmerksamkeit für Details. Ich würde jederzeit zurückgehen und es ist nur 5 Minuten zu Fuß zum Strand, nahe Bento und eine Atm. Das Frühstück war auch sehr gut. Sicherlich ein 100/10 nur auf dem Personal allein ❣️ Sie haben mir sogar einen Haartrockner. Das Zimmer riecht erstaunlich mit dem Zitronengras. Im Zimmer gab es auch einen Strandbeutel mit einem Handtuch in. Es war erstaunlich. Das einzige, was ich nicht erwartet hatte, ist, dass sie mir 2 Dollar Stadtsteuer für jede Nacht, die ich dort blieb, was für mich ein wenig unerwartet war.

This is my second trip to Marea (previously under another name but with the same owners). I only want to talk about how much I like it if you all promise not to book in for the same weeks that I visit again. It’s quiet, which I love, but within walking distance of busier Paje. The rooms are clean, well-sized, have aircon, fans and cute balconies. Some of the rooms have just been redesigned, and I know there are more upgrades in the works. It has a wonderful Neapolitan restaurant, which is helpful because you don’t ever feel like you *need* to hunt for other food. It has a perfectly sized pool which never feels crowded, and not being in the centre of the resort, doesn’t come with lots of eyes gazing in your direction. Most of all, the staff are fantastic. They always have a smile and a kind word. Service is good and easy. It’s a great find for those looking for a boutique family run resort that also doesn’t break the bank.

Ich bin ein einsamer Reisende und suche ein Hotel, wo ich nach meinen verrückten Treppen in ganz Zanzibar ausruhen kann. Das ganze Hotelteam war bei mir bei den kleinen Pflegekräften. Ich habe nichts verpasst. Das Zimmer war geräumig und wunderschön mit Pool und kleinem Garten. Das Gebiet ist sehr bewaldet, so dass Sie kleine, nette Tiere überqueren können. Noch einmal vielen Dank an das ganze Team des Hotels The Résidence für die gesamte Pflege, die ich an meinem Aufenthalt habe.

Guter Wert für das Geld Resort. Service war sehr gut. Wir hatten einen späten Flug und sie gab uns ein freies Zimmer, um eine Dusche zu haben anstatt die Pool Dusche zu verwenden. Wir schätzten es wirklich. Lage ist sehr ziemlich entspannend, aber ein bisschen von jedem anderen Ort entfernt.

Check in was not to nice and matrasses were so hard and uncomfortable. Room had weird smell and wvwn though I was on honeymoon they gave mw pool rooom on ground flooe whwre i coupdnt wvwn open wimdow bc people were passing. Resort is beautiful though... Beach and 2 big swimming pools. Animation area with table tennis and billiard and other social gamea. We say gym and kids club but didn't newd it Animation team was great as well as waiters ans servers We took all inclusive option and wnjoyed resort

Если кратко - это райский отель в очень красивом месте с прекрасной территорией, просторными номерами, очень приветливым персоналом и чудесной кухней. Но по порядку. В отель мы приехали после двухдневного сафари и нашей целью был полный релакс вдали от шума и суеты. И это оправдалось на 100%. РАСПОЛОЖЕНИЕ. Зависит от ваших целей. Если цели совпадают с нашими - полный релакс в уединённом месте с питанием внутри отеля, то расположение просто идеальное. Если вы хотите, например, питаться в других местах или проводить вечера вне отеля, то придётся пользоваться такси или арендной машиной. ОТЕЛЬ. Прекрасная ухоженная территория, чистый бассейн, отличные виды на океан и удобный спуск в море по ступенькам. На територии есть мини ферма специй, по которой вам может провести бесплатную экскурсию персонал с рецепции. Бассейн чистый, его можно использовать без ограничений по времени. НОМЕРА. Просторные, если не сказать огромные, чистые, у нас была лоджия с видом на море. Есть всё необходимое. Вода! Говорят, что на Занзибаре водой из-под крана нельзя даже чистить зубы. Мы чистили, всё в порядке, разве что вода чуть солоноватая на вкус (об этом нас предупредили на рецепции). Вода в бутылках для питья обновляется каждый день. ПЕРСОНАЛ. Абсолютно идеальный - очень приветливы, помогают по любому вопросу - доставить багаж, продумать маршрут (мы брали машину для поездок в ресторан The Rock, Jozani Forest и т.д.), экскурсия на по своей ферме специй, помощь в ресторане - всё было очень уютно. РЕСТОРАН. Еда выше всяких похвал, ну прям высокая кухня по местным меркам. Единственное - готовят на обед/ужин долго, но если вы, как мы, никуда не спешите, то это будет особенностью, а не недостатком. Цены средние для Занзибара, всё очень вкусно и красиво. Завтрак отличный - на заказ, вкусно и достаточно всего. Обязательно попробуйте сок из авокадо - мы его пили литрами и хотим теперь повторить эксперимент дома)) МОРЕ И ОТЛИВЫ. В приливы можно купаться со ступенек, в отливы можно застать потрясающие виды - здесь отливы очень красивые. ПАРКОВКА. Мы брали машину для поездок, её можно припарковать на территории отеля под навесом, в километре от отеля есть заправка. ОБЩЕЕ ВПЕЧАТЛЕНИЕ. Вспоминаем как 3 дня в раю! Выражаем благодарность всем сотрудникам отеля (шеф-повару ресторана отдельный привет), спасибо за ваши старания!
