GGastnutzerOverall, the stay itself was comfortable, and the room met expectations. The hotel's aesthetic is elegant and beautiful, and its location is convenient, surrounded by chinese restaurants within easy walking distance. The breakfast buffet was also good and enjoyable. However, the experience was unfortunately dampened by issues at the front desk, hygiene standards in the common areas, and soundproofing. We arrived around 10am and requested an early check-in, fully understanding that the standard check-in time is 2pm and that any earlier arrangement is subject to room availability and discretion. However, we were told by staff that early check-in would only be possible with an additional charge of RM160. This created an uncomfortable impression where it felt less like a matter of room availability and more like withholding an available room in order to impose extra charges. The tone suggests monetising convenience which we weren't particularly happy about.
After checked-in around 5pm. we noticed dirty plates on the floor left near the lift area. What was more concerning was that these plates were still there in the same spot the next morning when we checked out. This raised questions about cleanliness and hygiene, especially in shared spaces. In addition, the soundproofing could be improved. Noise from children crying near the lift was clearly audible, and due to the hotel's proximity to the airport, airplane noise could also be heard. This may be a concern for light sleepers or guests seeking a quieter stay.
While the room and overall stay were generally good, these experiences affected our impression.

SSSalDie Lage sehr zentral in Miri Stadt, die Rezeption, die sie sehr hilfreich als heute hatte kleine Zwischenfälle mit dem Grab-Fahrer(Sprachbarriere) sofort war sie bereit, sie mit Professionalität und Hilfe zu sortieren, Danke, dass Sie mich entschuldigen, dass ich nicht ihren Namen bekommen habe, sondern der mit Masken.
Die Reinigung im Zimmer mit neuen Handtüchern und der besten Dufthandtücher jemals um die Hotels herum.
Das Innenhotel nannte The Yard sehr angenehm für den Kunden, vor allem jetzt die Regensaison in Malaysia.

The view from the hotel is so nice that it made me excited to wake up in the morning. Good for families with children as there is enough rooms to go around in the 3 bedroom apartment. Can have more of the cleanliness with some of the items looking old require a change.

TTravel•Eat•RelaxWir hatten einen angenehmen Aufenthalt und waren hier zum zweiten Mal. Das Zimmer war so geräumig. Der Pool war schön, und Sie können eine tolle Landschaft aus dem Pool haben. Ihre Kinder werden den Pool auch lieben. Die Matrix war ein bisschen hart, wach mit einem Rücken ein bisschen. Das Café war auch in der Nähe, kann in der Entfernung laufen. Insgesamt war es ein toller Ort zu bleiben.

Miss Nisa is very helpful to inform me the unit that we supposed to stay according to my booking have problem with their air-conditioning. So she change it to another unit. We really enjoy staying at Bay Resort. We can brisk walk and sight seeing. There's a lot of Chinese restaurants nearby too. Its a great experience to us as this is our first time coming and staying in Miri. This place is recommended to travellers with families who loved beaches and love to listen to the sound of the waves.

The front office staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, making me feel right to choose and ensure I had everything I needed for a comfortable stay.
The room was spotlessly clean, cozy, and well-maintained. The bed was surprisingly comfortable, providing a great night's sleep. I was also pleased with the amenities provided, including fast Wi-Fi, a flat-screen TV, and complimentary toiletries.
The hotel's location was ideal, conveniently situated near local attractions and public transportation is easy to call. It made exploring the area so much easier.
Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for an exceptional experience at a great value. I look forward to returning on my next visit!
