Es liegt in der Nähe der Altstadt und ist bequem zu Fuß erreichbar. Das Frühstück ist nicht besonders preiswert; wenn Sie Zeit haben, sollten Sie lieber auf dem Markt essen. Das Onsen ist schön, und das Hotel bietet alle Annehmlichkeiten. Es gibt ausreichend Parkplätze vor dem Hotel und auf einem ausgewiesenen Parkplatzbereich (1.000 Yen). Bei meinem Besuch waren viele thailändische Touristen da. Das Auto links im Bild steht auf der Straße vor dem Hotel.

It’s a very nice place, 3mins walk from Nohi bus station. Very aesthetic Japanese layout, each room are themed with different Japanese cultures. The staffs are also very friendly and helpful and can’t complaint about the level of service.

Das Hotel ist ganz im japanischen Stil eingerichtet. Wenn Sie ankommen, müssen Sie Ihre Schuhe ausziehen, um das Zimmer zu betreten. Die Kellner wischen den Koffer sehr sauber und ihre Einstellung ist sehr gut! Für das private Thermalbad des Hotels wird kein Aufpreis berechnet! Es waren nicht viele Leute da, also haben wir alle drei ein Bad genommen, was sehr angenehm war! Es gibt auch kostenlose Ramen am Abend und Eis und Yakult nach dem Baden. Sie sind alle sehr rücksichtsvoll. Es liegt ganz in der Nähe des JR-Bahnhofs, des Nohi-Busses und des Ajizo Paradise! Empfohlen!

Free parking the car park is right in front of the hotel’s main entrance, very convenient for drivers. Das Zimmer war sauber. Das drei ‑ Bettzimmer war für unsere Familie ausreichend (2 Erwachsene, ein 12 ‑Jahr ‑alter, ein 9 ‑Jahr ‑alter, und ein 5 ‑Jahr ‑alter). Das Frühstück war gut. Der Onsen war auch nett und sauber. Sie bieten sogar komplimentäre Popsiklen nach dem Onsen meine Kinder lieben sie. Die Mitarbeiter waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Insgesamt, guter Wert für Geld.

Clean and comfortable hotel situated in a remote location. Check-in was efficient, and the rooms are nicely designed and new. The downside is that there are no convenient stores or restaurants nearby, so you’ll have to rely on their snack bar at the lobby if you’d like anything to eat in the middle of the night. There are also a limited amount of parking spaces on the premises, on a first-come-first-served basis

The room was quite small but all the amenities is good. there's onsen (which i didnt explore) but you can basically monitor everything from the tv, to check if the laundry is currently used or if the onsen is crowded. theres free drink and food upon arrival. and the front desk can speak english 😁 anddddd theres family mart in front of the hotelllllll. with parking some more and not that far from hida town.

Wow, mein Freund und ich sagten uns selbst, dass das für uns ein wenig Behandelung sein wird, wenn wir buchten, wissen, wie hoch der Preis war. Aber es war viel nützlicher als ich erwartet hatte! Wir hatten nicht geplant, wie man von dem Hotel nach Nagoya zurückreist, so fragten wir gerade den Front Desk, als wir ankamen. Und das Personal war so nett, mit uns den Zeitplan und die Transportmittel zu teilen. (Ich habe mit ihr in Japan gesprochen). Wir gingen spät in der Nacht für die Onsen, um 11:00 Uhr, und eigentlich mussten wir ganz Platz für uns selbst! Es gibt 2 Innenpools und 3 Außenpools, und die Außenpools müssen-probiert!! Der ganze Körper war so entspannt nach dem Einsen, und es entspannte unsere Müdigkeit und Schmerzen von Wandern. Das Buffet-Dinner und das Frühstück waren auch wunderbar! Mein Freund ist Vegetarier und zunächst besorgte sie, dass sie möglicherweise nicht viele Optionen haben, aber ihre Sorge war unberührt, da sie eine Vielzahl von Lebensmitteln hatten, alles super lecker. Wir haben auch den Blick von unserem Zimmer und auch von der Lobby geliebt... perfekte Onsen Hotelerfahrung für uns.

Ausstattung: Japanischer Stil, Open-Air-Onsen, ein wunderbares Erlebnis, im Schnee ein Bad zu nehmen, sehr angenehm. Umgebung: Dem Ruf als Onsen-Region wird sie gerecht. Es hat stark geschneit, für jemanden aus dem Süden ist das verrückt. Das Thermalwasser ist echtes Schwefelwasser, sehr angenehm. Service: Der Check-in ist pünktlich um 15 Uhr, früher ist niemand da. Man kann aber das Gepäck abstellen, das Zimmer kann aber erst um 15 Uhr bezogen werden.

Our stay at Ryokan Gizan was a truly memorable experience. This is a traditionally built and decorated Japanese ryokan, with tatami floors, sliding doors, and an authentic atmosphere that makes you feel fully immersed in Japanese culture. It’s definitely a “must-visit” if you’re looking to experience traditional Japanese accommodation — even a short stay of 2–3 nights is enough to make it special. The ryokan is quite old, which actually adds to its authentic charm, though it might feel a bit less comfortable for more demanding guests. That said, it’s very well maintained and everything is clean and thoughtfully arranged. The onsen facilities were excellent — one public bath and four private ones that you can use freely. After long days of exploring, it was a real treat. We highly recommend booking with the traditional dinner included. The meals were a highlight: we had Yakiniku the first night and Shabu-shabu the second, both featuring fresh, generous portions of delicious food. Breakfast was a traditional Japanese set — beautifully presented and made with care, though not quite to our personal taste. The location is stunning — surrounded by mountains, rivers, and blossoming trees. It feels peaceful and remote. Just note that amenities like ATMs or grocery stores are limited nearby. However, it’s well connected by bus (just a 3-minute walk from the ryokan), which can take you to Kamikochi or the terminals at Takayama and Hirayu Onsen. Buses run about once an hour, so it’s quite manageable. Overall, a fantastic stay — relaxing, unique, and highly recommended for anyone looking to experience a more traditional and scenic side of Japan.
