1.5 hrs ride from YIA Airport, but conveniently linked to Pukawon Mall that has pretty much everything you need from nails spa, massage to cinema, shops, eateries, restaurants to supermarket. It's easy (and cheap) to get a grab (local Uber) so not a challenge to get around even to further places. The room was spacious even for 2, including the bathroom area. Clean and well maintained, cute crab-shaped towel art and welcome amenities as a Bonvoy Gold member. Beds and pillows are a bit soft for my liking (even when I opted for a foam pillow from their pillow menu) but that's a personal preference. All amenities provided in the bathroom. Service was amazing, such warm smiles and great initiative, from the bell boy who helped with our luggage immediately after we got off the car, to the friendly front desk staff, to the security guards who holds the doors open for us and most of all, the helpful and thoughtful housekeeping team. They saw that we had limited hanging space with too much clothes and put in a standing laundry rack for us, and additional bottles of water, all without asking. Special shout-out to Deelen, Wahyu for the superb service. The pool looked amazing though I didn't get to try it this time. Breakfast was also excellent, a wide spread of local, western and Asian. They also offer interesting local herbal beverages. Solomon was thoughtful and offered us to order special items off the buffet when he found out it was our 3rd day of having breakfast at the hotel. Overall a wonderful stay and I'll be sure to stay here the next time I visit Jogja again.

Incredible stay! We booked a night here after a disaster at a neighbouring hotel and our stay was one of the best in Indonesia. From the moment we arrived we were welcomed with astonishing hospitality from all the staff members but especially Reza who went above and beyond to ensure that we were welcome and comfortable in the hotel. The facilities are top quality, the room was very clean and extremely comfortable, and we slept very well. The gardens and hotel grounds are extremely well maintained, beautiful, and have lots of space for relaxation or, if you have kids, spaces to keep kids entertained. The hotel has ample options for food/drink and also entertainment and also offers tours of the local area. It was also my girlfriend's birthday and the staff again put in genuine effort to make it a really special day for her, we are extremely grateful for their efforts - 5 star service. I can strongly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants an escape from the city and to be near mount merapi or who wants a bit of relaxation.

Ehrlich gesagt, ich liebe dieses Hotel. Ich reise immer in der niedrigen Saison, weil ich immer nach Frieden und ruhigen Tagen suche während meiner Mittagsgetaway. Ich habe Amaranta gewählt, weil es in Jogja kein Hotel mehr gibt, das ich dachte, würde das dienen, was ich brauchte. Und ich habe die richtige Wahl gemacht!! Das Zimmer war geräumig mit offenem Bad (kann schließen, wenn Sie wollen). Das Bett und die Betten waren schräg sauber mit frischem weichen entspannenden sauberen Scents. Das Bett und die Kissen waren alle komfortable und sauber. Der Balkon war geräumig und bietet Prambanan Tempel und Merapi Bergblick. Der Dachtop war schön, aber ziemlich windig. Der Pool ist wunderschön bei Nacht, nicht bei Tageszeit. Die Mitarbeiter waren alle freundlich und hilfreich zu meinen Nachtanfragen. Ich werde sicherlich zurück nach Amaranta kommen, wenn ich in Zukunft meine Friedensgestaltung benötigen werde.

Großes Hotel, gute Aussicht auf das Zimmer in der Stadt. Aber sogar besser (wirklich erstaunlich) 360° Aussicht vom Dach, einschließlich natürlich Richtung Merapi. Das Zimmer ist gut, es gibt einen schönen Pool auf dem Dach, sowie eine gute Bar. Keine Handtücher, aber. Der Fitnessraum ist sehr klein und hat eine lustige Dreiecksform, war ein bisschen überfüllt mit nur 6 Personen gleichzeitig. Nur unten war das Frühstück, frische Omelette war gut, aber einige der süßen Backwaren gehörten zu den schmacklossten Dingen, die ich je hatte. Das heißt, noch ein großes Hotel mit einer schönen Kunst konzentriert Lobby und freundliches Personal. Ich empfehle es.

While not overly large, the space is well laid out and feels cozy rather than cramped. The bed was comfortable, and overall cleanliness was well maintained throughout the stay. Location-wise, ARTOTEL is convenient for exploring Yogyakarta, with easy access to cafes, local eateries, and key attractions. The staff were friendly and helpful, adding to the pleasant experience. Overall, ARTOTEL Yogyakarta is a great choice if you enjoy boutique-style hotels with character and personality. It’s not just a place to sleep, but a creative space that reflects the vibrant cultural spirit of the city.

I really enjoyed staying at this hotel. The hospitality feels genuine and the staff are warm and attentive without being over the top. It’s the kind of place where you feel comfortable straight away. Breakfast is pretty standard, but still good enough to start the day. The swimming pool is nice and well maintained and yes great if you want to relax a bit after meetings. The hotel is located in a residential area, so it’s pleasant for a morning walk. If you’re heading to Malioboro, it’s about 20 minutes by GrabBike and around 30 minutes by car, depending on traffic. It’s also close to Plaza Ambarrukmo, which is convenient. If you don’t feel like eating at the hotel restaurant, there are local spots just a short walk away like bakso and soto nearby are cheap and tasty. Overall, a comfortable stay for business trips. I’d come back again if I have meetings in the area.

Während unseres zweitägigen Aufenthalts mussten wir dreimal das Zimmer wechseln, bevor wir endlich ein ordentliches Zimmer (das vierte) ohne Probleme bekamen. Die Mängel reichten von einer defekten Toilettenspülung über einen starken, muffigen Geruch im Zimmer bis hin zu alten, muffigen Laken und Handtüchern. Das Personal an der Rezeption war zwar hilfsbereit, aber wir waren insgesamt nicht zufrieden.

Nur 2 gute Dinge über dieses Hotel: Service und Frühstücksverteilung - diese sind 5 Sterne! 👍 Der Rest ist nicht zu erwarten. 1. Lage ist weit von Stadt und Flughafen entfernt. 2. Die Ausstattung ist sehr alt. Viele Dinge werden zerstört und noch nicht ersetzt oder repariert. 3. Denn alles ist alt und datiert, sie sehen auch schmutzig aus. Bettwäsche sind voll von Farben! 4. Der Wasserdruck der Dusche ist sehr niedrig. Nehmen Sie lange Zeit zum Baden. Ich habe hier nur gebucht, weil die Veranstaltung, die ich wollte, in diesem Hotel gehostet wurde. Freut mich, dass ich meinen Aufenthalt nach der Veranstaltung nicht verlängerte. Es tut mir leid, aber ich werde dieses Hotel nicht empfehlen.

Für die Lage ist sehr nahe der Lava-Reise touristische Attraktion. Das Zimmer ist ziemlich sauber, aber es gibt einige Einrichtungen, die etwas fehlen, wie das Toilette nicht aktualisiert wurde und es gibt viele Teile des Gebäudes, die möglicherweise repariert werden müssen. Der Service ist ziemlich zufriedenstellend, die Hotelbediensteten sind sehr freundlich.
