This accommodation was excellent. for us.It was situated in a tiny village with only one local pub, which was ideal for us. Cambridge is only 10miles away. The host was very friendly and welcoming. The Lodge was beautifully decorated and impeccably clean. A nice touch was a plate of fairy cakes and a jar of cookies to welcome you. There was also a jug of milk in the fridge. The bed was sublime. Extremely soft and comfortable. I normally only manage 3-4 hours sleep daily, but on our two night stay i slept right through both nights. Breakfast was a full English delivered to our door, and it was delicious. I can't recommend this place and it's host highly enough. If I'm visiting the area again Thorn House will definitely be my first choice.

We had a lovely stay at The Fellows. Just a short walk into Cambridge city center. The bed was very comfortable. The shower was amazing. I would definitely recommend

The Gonville Hotel is gorgeous. Great staff, beautiful boutique hotel. Bar area is lovely and so is the restaurant. Added bonus was a complimentary tour in their Bentley (book in advance). Would highly recommend this hotel.

Wir haben drei Leute gebucht. Es waren 2 Handtücher im Zimmer. Wir wollten 3 Flaschen Wasser von der Rezeption kaufen. Sie sagten, es gibt 2 Flaschen Wasser. Es war ein Geschäft mit Planungsfehlern. Es gibt eine Bahnstation direkt neben dem Hotel.

Trotz der leicht müde Aussicht auf die Außenseite, ist dies eine ausgezeichnete Wahl, wenn Sie ein Hotel in Cambridge mit Parkplatz und Spaziergang zum Stadtzentrum wollen. Unser Zimmer war auf dem Boden, aber gegenüber der Hinterseite und war sehr ruhig. Das Zimmer ist ziemlich klein, aber alles funktionierte, es war außergewöhnlich sauber und komfortabel, und der Duschewasserdruck war fantastisch. Das Frühstück, das in unserem Paket enthalten war, war sehr gut. Viel Wahl und das gekochte Essen wurde auf Pipe-Hot-Platten serviert. Beste aller, Jackie und Jan, die beiden wunderbaren Damen, die uns serviert. Sie haben tatsächlich mehr als serviert, sie machten unser Frühstück erinnerebar und warm. Ich hoffe, diese beiden Damen werden von der Hotelverwaltung gut beachtet, denn wir wollen wirklich auf ihren persönlichen und sehr willkommenen Charakteren zurück. Liebe, liebliche Damen. Wenn Sie nicht realisiert haben, empfehlen wir dieses Hotel ausdrücklich.

Frühstück ist normal, es ist nichts Besonderes. Das Zimmer ist zu klein und ist zu diesem Preis so klein, es ist sehr selten. Es gibt einen Sitzplatz im Zimmer, um einen Kellner zu finden, um einen Sitzplatz zu geben. Aus den Bildern, die auf der Tür stehen, leben wir in einem der kleinsten Zimmer des ganzen Hotels. Es ist wirklich unzufrieden.

Das Hotel befindet sich nicht im Stadtzentrum. Man benötigt zu Fuß oder mit dem Bus über 30 Minuten, um ins Zentrum oder zum Universitätsviertel zu gelangen. Dafür ist es hier sehr ruhig. Verlässt man das Hotel (ohne Auto), führt der Weg immer an einem großen Privatgarten vorbei, dessen direkter Durchgang mit einem Drahtzaun versperrt ist. Allein das Umrunden dieses Gartens nimmt 7-8 Minuten in Anspruch. Dafür sind die Preise hier deutlich niedriger als in Hotels im Zentrum. Wenn der Preis keine Rolle spielt, könnte man natürlich ein eleganteres Hotel im Universitätsviertel wählen, was ein besseres Erlebnis wäre. Abgesehen von der Universität ist das Fitzwilliam Museum in Cambridge ebenfalls einen Besuch wert.

Single bed was small and not particularly comfortable, double bed was better, however there was mould on the bathroom ceiling and the toilet seat wasn’t attached properly. We were only given two towels although the room was booked for three. Otherwise, the room was clean enough and the service was very helpful. Free parking which wasn’t clear when booking.

While the hotel itself and rooms are fine. You have to pay extra for parking which is clearly just for capitalist gains as it’s on property. They advertise a pool (one of the main reasons we picked the hotel), which we were told on arrival has been closed for years, yet no thought to advertise this online was thought of? No instead they keep a picture of said swimming pool online when it would be a simple manner of taking one picture down to stop disappointment. They keep it up to attract visitors unfortunately. The water in the room for shower and bath simply did not go hot, but rather a low lukewarm. Breakfast also cost £15 which we opted not to do due to competition prices being so much lower for the same thing. Ultimately, it was a disappointing stay mainly due to their misinformation than the room itself.

This is the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at in the UK, much better than other £100 rooms in other cities. The environment is excellent. It is located right opposite the river where we could walk around, and there was a beautiful backyard where guests could sit and enjoy food and drinks. The breakfast they offered was very nice, with plenty of choices. It was very peaceful and enjoyable just spending the morning there; you can really feel how a perfect morning should start in Cambridge. The staff was also very helpful. They carried my luggage up and down the stairs during check‑in and check‑out. As for the location, it is just a few hundred metres away from the River Cam and other viewpoints, most of which you can reach on foot. Other than that, the facility was well equipped, everything works perfectly without any malfunction happened. Overall, it was a great experience staying there, and I would definitely recommend it to others if I get the chance.
