GGastnutzerI felt very anxious and scared. This hotel definitely needs to state on their website that their location changes during the winter. My actual accommodation was at Nature Hotel Walde sruhe, located in the mountains. The original hotel was dark and only the intercom was working, so I was really worried when they asked me to call a taxi to come to another hotel. I was confused and didn't know what to do, but a local woman happened to be passing by and helped me out. Don't get misunderstand, the hotel I stayed at was great, the rooms, the food and the staff were great. When I arrived that hotel by taxi and I said this is so bad experience, they said me No problem. It was probably a better grade than the original hotel. But the problem is not there. The location I booked is different from the actual location, that's the big problem! The visitors who come here in winter are probably mostly people who travel by car. If I had booked this place just to relax and enjoy a holiday, I would have been very happy, but I had a schedule that needed to be on time. I chose a place within walking distance to Oberstdorf Station and the ice rink, and booked it. That was my selection criteria. No matter how nice the hotel is, if it's in the mountains I wouldn't choose it. Luckily, there was no snow for a few days after my arrival, so I made the 40 minute walk to the ice rink in the morning. However, it was dark at night and the road was steep, so I couldn't walk there. My friends were worried and sent me the hotel. On the third day, the slope in front of the hotel was frozen and I slipped and hurt my hand. I had been negotiating with Trip.com for a long time, but I couldn't get in touch with them and they told me I couldn't change the hotel. However, due to an injury to my hand, I was unable to continue and was able to cancel the remaining days of my stay after speaking with the Trip.com representative and the front desk staff over mu phone. I had planned to stay somewhere that was easy to walk to, but the time spent negotiating left me exhausted. You are too careless about people who are not used to steep snowy roads. Please think more about the importance of location. Please be sure to write any changes in hotel location!

SSuri ZachMein Aufenthalt im Explorer Hotel Oberstdorf vom 1. bis 3. August 2025 war rundum großartig. Die Lage des Hotels ist perfekt für Naturliebhaber – wunderschöne Umgebung und idealer Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen und Ausflüge.
Das Zimmer war modern, sauber und sehr komfortabel. Besonders gefallen haben mir das Design und die Nachhaltigkeitskonzepte des Hotels. Das Frühstück war reichhaltig und lecker, mit frischen regionalen Produkten.
Das Personal war freundlich, hilfsbereit und jederzeit ansprechbar.
Ich kann das Hotel uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen und komme gerne wieder!
