Das Hostel ist sehr schön und stilvoll eingerichtet und liegt sehr gut zur Innenstadt, sodass sowohl alle großen Museen und das Theater als auch viele Bars, Cafés und Restaurants fußläufig erreichbar sind. Es ist ein Hostel, also kann man keine absolute Ruhe erwarten, aber ich habe das nicht als störend empfunden. Straßenlärm ist zu vernachlässigen. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, es ist alles sauber. Mit dem Auto vom Flughafen dauert die Fahrt außerhalb des Berufsverkehrs etwa 40 Minuten.

Positiv: Das Zimmer war sehr schön und sauber. Das Personal an der Bar und am Pool war sehr freundlich. Das Abendessen war in Ordnung. Auch die Ausstattung war gut. Negativ: Die Rezeptionisten waren kurz angebunden und unfreundlich. Wir sollten uns an den Gepäckträger wenden, um einen Transfer zum Flughafen zu organisieren. Dieser ließ uns jedoch einfach an seinem Schreibtisch stehen, wo er etwa zehn Koffer sortierte, und ging dann weg, um sie auf die Zimmer zu bringen. Wir wollten um 5:00 Uhr frühstücken, wie es in der Zimmerinformation angegeben war, erfuhren aber beim Auschecken, dass das Frühstücksbuffet erst um 5:30 Uhr öffnet. Da wir einen Flug erreichen mussten und selbstständig zum Flughafen fahren mussten, haben wir nicht gefrühstückt.

Undiscovered gem of a hotel near San Pedro. Pros: We were looking for a place on the lower end of the price spectrum that was a one night romantic getaway for two, that I could also use my free trip coins at toward the cost of the room. Preferably including breakfast and a swimming pool with jacuzzi 😉 Not much to ask! We booked one of the cheaper rooms on the ground floor. Before check in we took an Uber to San Pedro mall to do some essential shopping and see a movie. Then we checked in and I relaxed in the jacuzzi under the San José night sky while my husband enjoyed a full workout in the gym/weights room. TV with cable was great for my husband who enjoyed the football while I enjoyed the hot shower and relaxed in the bed afterwards. We had an amazingly comfortable sleep and a delicious breakfast in the morning of gallo pinto, fresh tropical fruits, freshly squeezed watermelon juice and hot coffee. A generous check out time of 12pm meant we had more than enough time to get our things together and leave when it suited. Cons: Not many cons at this price point and value. The guy at the desk was a bit weird when we asked him for a second glass for water as there was only one in the room but not a big deal. We also had to ask him for the TV remote. The towels were a bit small like a mini dress on me after my shower. But good quality (with a third extra towel for the jacuzzi) and high quality bed linen. It also is in a slightly rough looking neighborhood but this is not a problem if you travel to and from the hotel by Uber or use a hire car (which you can park privately inside the property). Overall impression: The other photos on trip.com and similar booking sites do not do this hotel justice - it looks far better in person. It has real character since it is a restored historic hotel from an era bygone, but that is why everything is such high quality from the bed linen to the floor tiles. Everything is also in good shape and freshly painted. There a little hidden nooks around the hotel that make it very charming. The breakfast area is lovely and the jacuzzi, pool and water slide were a real highlight. We WILL be back.

Das Hotel ist gut, das Frühstück ist OK, das Hotel ist sehr ruhig, der Halle hat einen bequemen Shop, es gibt keine heimische Krone-Ferienhotel Atmosphäre, hören Sie den Kunden, dass dieses Hotel im Ort besser ist.

Ich habe in einem 4-Zimmer-Schlafsaal übernachtet – viel Platz, eine Kombination aus mehreren Gästehäusern und Unterkünften. Ich konnte den Pool und das Restaurant des benachbarten Hostels nutzen. Der Check-in verlief reibungslos und einfach, das Personal war freundlich und der Kaffee kostenlos. Ich habe die Lage gewählt, weil sie zentral, aber nicht direkt im Stadtzentrum liegt. Gleich um die Ecke gibt es eine tolle irische Bar. Man sollte nur die nahegelegenen Bahngleise beachten. Die Züge signalisieren zwar, wenn sie vorbeifahren, aber nachts fährt keiner, also alles gut.

sabana studios are a a great and econimal way to stay in the capital, the only thing is that its very hard to find its location as when I went they didn't have any signage as to where they are. Please find out exactly the location of the office before you got as I got a bit lost and took me asking someone to direct me. I had no internet at the time so I couldn't call .One of the friendly locals used his mobile to ask about the location and that's how I finally found it. all in all it was a positive experience.  The apartment is located close to a nice park for walking and relaxing.  there are some options for food but you need to check the surrounding area on a mmap before blindingly walking out hoping to find an area where restaurants are.

Book only one night needed to be closed to the airport prior to leaving Costa Rica. I arrived too early to check in so I left my backpack in the storage and went sightseeing. Rooms were cleaned however my issues was with the cleanliness of the bathrooms I wish they were cleaner . Shower’s didn’t have any hooks or shelves and I didn’t have anywhere to but my stuff other then the floor. I found a very cockroach in the shower which was also gross. Bathrooms could definitely be cleaner and furniture could be less broken done. Definitely more on the budget friendly side.

Das Zimmer, der Service und das Frühstück sind gut. Es ist auch besonders nahe der Stadt Chinas und es ist sehr bequem zu spielen, aber die Polizei in der Nacht von San José ist ein bisschen beeindruckend. Die Laden um sechs Uhr schließen alle. Ich durfte nicht rausgehen. Mein Mann ist Lateinamerikaner. Wie schnell können wir alle gehen. Wenn Sie hier sind, müssen Sie sich um die Sicherheit kümmern!
