Wunderbar
DDGB365Canberra ist eine verdante Landschaftsstadt. Obwohl der öffentliche Verkehr etwas begrenzt ist, bietet er hervorragende Spaziergänge 5-10 Minuten zu Fuß, um die meisten großen Einrichtungen oder lokalen Geschäften und Dienstleistungen zu erreichen. Hotel Realm befindet sich im sehr zentralen Barton-Bezirk und einen gesunden Spaziergang zu den meisten großen Stätten und Museen, Galeries und Häusern des Parlaments. Insgesamt eine gute Wahl für Geschäfts- und Touristen.

JJamieWe recently stayed at the Canberra Rex Hotel as a family of three, traveling from Sydney to celebrate the New Year. While there were some positive aspects, our overall experience was disappointing.
Starting with the positives, the reception staff were very nice and courteous, which we appreciated. We liked that it is very near a light rail station and quite close to parks, restaurants, and cafes.
The layout of the hotel posed challenges. Our room was quite far from the lifts, and with only two lifts positioned side by side in a corner of the building, accessibility was inconvenient. It seems the hotel design is to blame, as the lifts are not centrally located like in most hotels.
One of the biggest letdowns was the pool. We specifically chose this hotel for its pool, hoping our little one could enjoy it. Unfortunately, the pool heater was not working, and the water was freezing cold. To make matters worse, we noticed some bugs in the pool, which was unsettling. The staff wouldn’t have known the heater wasn’t working if we hadn’t informed them. It felt like the pool's maintenance and condition were overlooked, which was a major disappointment for us. Had we known that we won't be able to enjoy the pool, we would've settled in a hotel that is far more affordable.
As compensation for the pool issue, we requested and were granted a late check-out, which was a kind gesture from the hotel. However, it didn’t feel adequate given the inconvenience and disappointment we experienced.
Additionally, the King Suite we stayed in had some practical flaws. It only had one bin, which was insufficient for a family of three, as it filled up quickly. Another inconvenience was the shower area, which didn’t have any shelves. This meant we had to place shampoo and conditioner bottles on the floor while showering, which was far from ideal.
Overall, while the reception staff’s service was commendable, the hotel fell short in terms of facilities and maintenance. I hope the management takes these points into consideration for future guests.

LlonetloveMidnight Collection was in a central location where amenities is surrounded. You have pub, tram station and walking distance to civic center. The facilities is good enough to have a relax and enjoyable swimming pool and sauna room after a long day. Food wise is pretty tasty, while it may not be free flow in term of buffet style.

EElaine Yuen YanThe hotel is quite good. The parking was in increased to A$28 if not pre-booked but trip.com says only A$15 and no need to book. The hotel ended up waiving the first night parking when we asked and we parked on the street the next day.
The hotel room is very big and the beds are quite firm and comfortable. The bathroom is a good size but would appreciate rubbish bags into the bins because it feels like I can't even put in banana peel because I don't want it to go to mush inside the bin and someone has to dig it out and wash the bin.
There is an iron and ironing board in the room with safe, extra blanket and pillows. The only complaint for the room is probably the noisy air conditioning.
Food at the bistro inside the hotel was pretty good for dinner and the buffet breakfast had a good variety but it is the same everyday.

GGuest UserIch habe eine Zweizimmerwohnung gebucht. Das Zimmer ist groß und geräumig. Der Blick in die Halle ist Bergblick, sehr schön. In der Halle ist die Bar, die Lichter sind gedimmt, die Musik ist köstlich, das westliche Essen ist da, das Hotel ist sehr groß, die Bar ist nur wenige, es gibt auch ein Kino. Die Dekorationen sind alles Holzleisten, ich kann sie nicht verstehen, ich empfinde besondere Kunst. Beide Schlafzimmer haben keine Fenster und sind nur ein Badezimmer. Es gibt viele Küchenutensilien und viel Geschirr. Das Frühstück ist die Art der Bestellung. Ganz in der Nähe des Stadtzentrums, ein ruhiges Hotel. Mehr als 2.000 pro Nacht wird die Rezeption nicht chinesisch sein, es ist ein Hotel für Ausländer. Canberra hat eine schöne Aussicht und ist besonders zum Wohnen geeignet.

GGastnutzerI recently stayed at Rydges Canberra and, overall, found the experience to be quite average. The hotel didn’t quite live up to my expectations — while it wasn’t bad, it also wasn’t particularly memorable.
The room itself was clean but pretty basic and somewhat dated, lacking the comfort or extra touches you'd hope for at this price point. One thing that stood out as a bit off-putting was the parking fee — $25 per night seemed steep, especially considering the overall value of the stay.
On a more positive note, the breakfast was definitely the highlight. The food was fresh, well-prepared, and offered a good variety — a great way to start the day.
In summary, Rydges Canberra was okay for a short stay, but it didn’t impress. I’d consider other options next time unless the breakfast alone is enough to bring me back.

GGastnutzerAnything that could go wrong did go wrong!!! For a disabled room there was no power point near the bed. The only available power point in the room was in the bathroom. The air conditioning was manually powered and was positioned above the window so anyone in a wheelchair or that was short could not reach it. The only place to hang up your clothes was on the back of the bathroom door. The bathroom was quite large but when I went to put the towel on the hanger it came apart!!!! And the top of the toilet was broken. Then I opened the fridge and it looked like a soda can had exploded and nobody had cleaned it. When I informed the staff member he was very lovely, he came in and cleaned the fridge, gave me a power board and extension cord for the bed which did help. But then in the morning the young staff member on took an hour and half to bring a toasted sandwich to my room after saying it would only be 10mins. He had clearly forgotten about it. So after such a bad experience I asked for my money back!!!!
