Sofianna Resort & Spa

Everything was perfect. In the room the found bottles of sparkling wine. Was gift from hotel for my birthday…location amazing, everything so close to us. Definitely recommend!

The room was a little outdated but the food really impressed us. It was always different and freshly made. It really impressed us. The staff was friendly and after some time, they recognized us. Even it was off season there was always entertainment in the evening and we could really stay at the property at night and enjoy our evening. It was very quiet in the evening even we had a pool view room facing the pool. We slept really we. What's also impressive is the clearness. It's really well maintained and daily cleaning service was also perfectly done. If you stay there, you have to do all inclusive. The food really makes everything perfect.

First time visiting Sofianna and we would love to return. Upon arrival staff were very friendly and were always happy to help. Found all staff to always say hello when serving you at the bar, in the restaurant or even just walking past you in the hotel. We arrived with a few couples who visit regularly to the hotel which must mean they are doing something right… and they are!! Bags were brought to our room by a lovely gentleman. Room was lovely and spacious and views of the sunset on an evening were amazing. Food was okay. We are slightly picky eaters so finding something for lunch and dinner was a bit hit and miss but even though we stayed all inclusive we did plan on eating out a few nights anyways. Breakfast was lovely!! Drinks were strong and tasty. Pool was very cold this time of year but if you were brave enough you could manage a few lengths (which we tried and swam as quickly as possible!!) Sunbeds were easy to get no matter the time of day, but I am not sure what it would be like in the summer. Easy 5-10minutes’ walk down to the harbour where they are lots of nice restaurants and is a lovely walk no matter the time of day! Supermarket just round the corner. Just a note, this is a ‘’no smoking hotel’. There are designated smoking areas in the hotel and my partner did hear from a few other guests that the hotel may charge you €20 if caught smoking in room/balcony/non smoking areas but not sure how true this may be as he stuck to smoking areas. Visited flairs bar one night which is just around the corner… They will convince you to go in with 2 for 1 drinks… and you may not remember leaving!! All in all, me and my partner spent a lovely relaxing week in the sun at the lovely Sofianna. Would love to return in the future!

We visited the week of the 15-22 March. So off peak. Weather was hot and cloudy someday. We enjoyed the sun and walked and explored when not too hot. Great location, hotel is walking distance to many attractions and main bus station. (We didn’t use the buses) Sea front and harbour only a short walk away. Great hotel, has everything you could have asked for. Clean, amazing staff, and outstanding food. We had a swim up room, so had sun majority of the day. Liked the private loungers and seating on our own decking with own access to the pool. This made the holiday for us. As we are not ones to normally find a sun lounger and stay there all day. So we couldn’t pop in and out our patio door when we pleased. We walked about 5-8 miles a day exploring. Lots of attractions in walking distance and they are only a couple of euros to enter. All public toilets when out and about are free. The hotel has a lovely lounge area by the bar. We sat here a few evenings and participated in a quiz and there was entertainment of singing etc. there was also activities throughout the day by the main pool. Our pool was away from main area due to the swim up rooms. This suited us. A lot quieter. Not that there was any noise. We have travelled to many destinations and never to Cyrus before. If I was going to pick one thing that made this hotel outstanding would be the meals. The catering staff, chef and restaurant management were excellent. All food was homemade, never saw say a chicken nugget. The cuisine was buffet style but with class. The use of herbs and spices and pride was unremarkable. You are in for a treat.
