Kalydna Island Hotel

Dies ist ein schönes, authentisches Hotel, sehr authentisch und sehr griechisch. Es war friedlich und das Personal war nett und super hilfsbereit. Für ein kleines Familienhotel war der Pool ausgezeichnet und wurde jeden Morgen von Ken aus South Shields gewissenhaft und mit höchster Sorgfalt gereinigt! Ich kann dieses Hotel als Ausgangspunkt wärmstens empfehlen. Es gibt viele Restaurants in Gehweite und der Strand ist nur 5 Minuten vom Hotel entfernt. Beim Frühstück hätte es etwas mehr Auswahl geben können, aber als die Rühreier an manchen Morgen fertig waren, muss ich sagen, dass sie wahrscheinlich zu den besten gehörten, die ich je in einem Hotel gegessen habe!

Die Unterkunft ist eine Enttäuschung für dieses Hotel. Es ist sehr einfach und veraltet/abgenutzt. Siehe Fotos. Wir haben über Jet2 gebucht und dieses Hotel wurde als Selbstversorgerhotel beworben. Es ist unmöglich, in diesem Zimmer eine Mahlzeit zuzubereiten. Die Küchenausstattung besteht aus einer Spüle, einem Kühlschrank, einem 1-Platten-Herd und einem Wasserkocher. Wir hatten nicht einmal ein komplettes Besteckset für uns vier im Zimmer und vieles davon war verrostet. Wir konnten uns Müsli zum Frühstück und Brötchen zum Mittagessen am Terrassentisch zubereiten, da es in der Küche keinen Arbeitsbereich gibt. Das Badezimmer war äußerst schäbig. Und die Einzelbetten meiner Kinder waren Schlafsofas (überhaupt nicht wie auf den Bildern auf der Jet2-Website). Die Reinigungskräfte haben jedoch jeden Tag hervorragende Arbeit geleistet und es war sehr sauber. Der Poolbereich/die Gärten sind wunderschön und entspannend, sofern Sie eine Sonnenliege ergattern, es gibt nur etwa 20 Sonnenliegen (ich übertreibe vielleicht, es können auch weniger sein!). Der Pool ist extrem tief und hat kein nennenswertes flaches Ende, mit meinen 1,62 m konnte ich meinen Kopf nur auf Zehenspitzen an einem sehr schmalen Streifen am äußersten Rand des Pools über Wasser halten. Der Pool ist also nicht für Nichtschwimmer geeignet. Wir haben den Pool wirklich genossen, er hatte eine angenehme Temperatur und schien gut gepflegt zu sein, aber meine Tochter und ich kamen beide mit Ohrenentzündungen nach Hause 🤷‍♀️. Das Personal und die Hotelanlage waren nett, aber es muss viel Geld in das Hotel investiert werden, um den Standard der Unterkunft zu verbessern, sofern unserer ein Maßstab ist.

They changed this room in pictures for me to another room which is little bit better than this one but there are a lot of yellow and black spots everywhere in the room, bathroom and furnitures. Bad smells in the room. A lot of insects and ants in the room even on the bed. The breakfast is very poor. The pool is dirty. There is no warm water at the night. The wifi is not working. They want me to check out at 08:30 am despite they’re writing the check out at 11:00 am. The stuff are kind and friendly.

We had a fabulous stay... the pool was lovely, big and warm. Our studio had everything we wanted. The air-conditioning was essential overnight, as it was so warm. Panormos is a very Greek seaside town, with Kantouni as our favourite beach on the island, and several good restaurants and bars along the beach. Psiris fish taverna was excellent, the Rock and Blues Bar was brilliant and Il Posto in the town centre was delicious. We'd love to come back!!

Good clean hotel only issue lack of sunbeds around the pool, big clean room and tidy brilliant balcony, good towels changed regularly check was great and air conditioning. Bar could do with a little more variety. But perfect place for a get away break.

Smashing little hotel/ apartment complex. In the quiet and peaceful village of Panormos, 5 minutes from the beach, with about a dozen Tavernas all within reach. staff are friendly and helpful, rooms cleaned daily with fresh towels. Pool cleaned daily. The hotel is typical Greek, if you’ve been in one, then you’ve been in them all. A bit rough around the edges, but adequate. If I’d have one observation, it would be the self catering facilities, being somewhat inadequate. I don’t expect to be able to cook a three course meal, but a fried egg and toast would suffice, only we struggled here. No bread knife, no spatula, no toaster, and two pans with worn out non stick surfaces made cooking anything extremely difficult. Try cooking a fried egg, in a sticky pan, with no spatula, having only a table knife to use as an implement. Strangely, there was a soup ladle. I’ve no idea what you’d do with a Soup ladle with no pan large enough to cook soup. I’m baffled as to why it was there to be honest. Other than that we had a very pleasant stay, I’d I think we’ll probably be back one day, maybe I’ll bring a spatula.
