Asure Destiny on Fitzherbert Motel

The air-conditioner wasn't working. The temperature in the room was 16 degrees. And the manager was rude and said can't fix it. "Jump in the bed, mate" he said as he hung up. What an assole. I'd highly not recommend staying here - plently of good hotels nearby.

The rooms were beautiful and the service was outstanding so would definitely highly recommend staying here Central to everything you can even walk to town and restaurants are close Thank you so much for the awesome hospitality

Brent was most helpful and friendly when we arrived without a booking. He had limited space for the two nights we needed, but he could fit us in. We were offered a viewing of the proposed room and facilities before we decided, and he supplied us with additional local information. The room was well appointed, remarkably clean and most welcoming. As Destiny on Fitzherbert is a member of the Asure scheme, which we have used elsewhere, we were confident of the standard and we were most certainly NOT disappointed. Would we recommend and use D on F again? Without hesitation! It would be hard for us to fault them on any aspect. Thank you to Brent and all of the staff we met.

Really nice place. Hosts are very friendly and a really easy contactless check in service. Rooms a spacious, and beds comfortable. Have stayed a couple of times and enjoy every time. Thanks heaps for having me

Arrived to find no one in the office. There was a door bell and also a phone number to ring. Which was fine, except no one answered either. After multiple door bell rings and in excess of 20 phone calls all up. I then jumped on the website to find the email address and emailed to say we were here and waiting and no one was there. 5 minutes turned to 10, which turned into 30mins and finally after an hour of waiting in the car park, we had had enough. I had no contact from the property, no texts or missed calls or even emails that may have snuck into junk. We were being ghosted. Finally we rung *********** to ask what we were supposed. They said they would rebook us if they couldn’t contact the property themselves after 30mins.. if not they would find us somewhere else to stay and reimburse any price differences. That 30 mins came and went. So we had been waiting an hour and a half for access to our room. I had my elderly in-laws with me and my toddler. Who was forced to use her potty behind the car in the car park! We’d driven down to Palmy and had a long day. We had to call bookings back to cancel the booking and find us an alternative accommodation. Only once this had been done did a very basic text message come through with room access details.. nearly 2 hours later!!!! We were not the only guest who also experienced this on the same day. This is not acceptable. No apology and then to top it off they had the cheek to charge my card!! So I rung them yet again and left another voicemail. No answer and still no apology. I contacted *********** who said they would organise a refund and apologised profusely. Also to top it off I’d made my booking months and months prior. Only for the owner to ring me to ask if I wouldn’t mind moving out of my family room so he could put someone else in it.. which when I explained that I’d made a booking so my husband and I could attend a wedding and have our first night out since our daughter was born. So when I said it wasn’t going to work for my family, I was greeted with hostility and huffed at as if I was the one who was being difficult. I guess I should have taken that as a sign. So unless you’re a keen car park enthusiast and enjoy being ignored. I wouldn’t bother booking here.

Effortless check-in, friendly and helpful owner. Very clean and spacious (Twin premium studio unit. Own courtyard area. Numbered car park space great idea. Didn't hear any road traffic despite it being friday and saturday nights. Clean towels etc second day. Only one drawback is that there is no extractor fan in bathroom which got very steamed up and wet after two showers. Would fully recommend and come back to this motel. Thank you.
