Ein faszinierendes Erlebnis in diesem historischen Ort übernachten zu dürfen, können. Man fühlt die großen Denker, die hier schon vor uns gewesen sind. Tolkien, Hawking, und viele mehr haben an diesem Ort schon übernachtet und studiert. Ein tolles Personal rundet das Erlebnis ab und gerne übersieht man den Unterschied zu einem Neubau.

Very very basic. Very little care taken in general. Room was ok but small and stuffy. Decor run down . Corridors cramped and shabby. Desk was unmanned, had to buzz to get staff over road from their “ sister “ hotel. They seemed disinterested. Little local knowledge. Walls paper thin. When i left in the morning , I walked out into a building site - the whole section , including the front door , had been sectioned off workmen - who shouted at me for not wearing a hard-hat 😂 would have been nice to get a heads up from the hotel this was happening. You get what you pay for , and this was cheap , but I won’t be staying again. Recommend avoiding

暑假期間，價格優惠，房間都是統一標準的尺寸，景觀不同價格有差異。乾淨衛生，不大，但是實用。看了看9月的價格相當的貴，都需要3K了。 離牛津西門商場很近，各種美食都很方便，步行到達牛津各個學院，非常方便。 酒店早餐很不錯，除了擺出來的各種美食，還可以跟服務員要omelet蛋卷等一些現做的，味道好過希爾頓系列酒店。萬豪出品，水準放心。

房間挺好的，浴室很大，設施很齊全，就是在路邊有點吵，晚上附近沒什麼東西，衹是過夜就沒什麼大問題的。早餐豐富，但是我們付的房間衹帶一份早餐，另一位要15磅就有點貴。服務就還行，離牛津中心有點路。晚上蠻多人來這裏吃飯的。

Wir kamen für die Nacht, als ein kleiner Familienhühner tut. Meine Mutter, Schwester und Neffe kamen Samstagnachmittag und blieben bis Sonntag. Jeder war so hilfreich und freundlich. Unsere Zimmer waren erstaunlich mit allem, was Sie brauchten. Wir hatten einen Balkon, der die Erdbeben zum Fluss Thames überblickte. Nette und saubere mit wirklich komfortablen Betten. Wir verwendeten den Pool und Dampfraum Samstag Nachmittag leider war der Jacuzzi nicht arbeiten und war abgewässert, aber nicht stoppen uns entspannen. Unser Abendessen am Samstag Abend in Napiers war lecker! Unsere Kellnerin Abby war freundlich, chattisch und wunderschön zu chatten. Sie war wirklich hilfreich. Frühstück war großartig! Und großartig, dass Sie mit Ihnen einen Kaffee in den verfügbaren Tassen nehmen konnten. Meine Nichte will es eine regelmäßige Reise machen!!

Looking at previous reviews of this hotel, I can only think that our experience here was an unusual one but we were quite disappointed with our stay. Our room (3) was tiny (in hindsight we should have booked a more expensive one), and was uncomfortably small for two people with nowhere to put bags down or hang up clothes apart from a few hangers on coat hooks. The lighting was poor and it had a very rattly industrial fire door into the bathroom, which seemed amusing at first, but wasn’t quite so funny in the middle of the night when it clanged shut if you let it go! In fairness, other rooms on the websight looked gorgeous, I wish we’d booked one of those! Not the hotel’s fault, we just expected our room to be better for the price. Also disappointing was that the food on both nights was below average with limited menu choice and lots of dishes being unavailable.. This was a shame because it was my birthday ‘treat’ but fell far short of what we expected from a so called ‘luxury’ hotel. I can only think they were having a couple of off days and we were just unlucky. On a positive note, it’s a very eclectic place, decor is rustic, bordering on scruffy but still interesting, the staff are very friendly and the bar and restaurant have a warm and welcoming atmosphere, but when we were there the poor staff were run off their feet which resulted in patchy service and difficulty reserving a table, However, despite the problems the staff were very nice people especially the bar manager who tried her best to make up for the various menu shortfalls and discounted our drinks and food bill as an apology, which we very much aporeciated, but sadly I still don’t look back on our stay and feel that it was all that great, not really as special as we hoped it would be given all the hype. Based on our experience I wouldn’t recommend it or go again.

This is 2nd time we stayed in this trip. The aircond noise non stop and we feed back the 1st time when we were there. But I guess they can’t do anything … if you are light sleeper. Stay away 😀😪

My partner and I had a lovely stay at The George. Lovely dinner - good range on the menu including lots of alcohol free drink options. The bed was really comfortable and it was a lovely cozy room with great amenities. Lovely location - Dorchester is beautiful! We loved the community farm just up the road with a lovely cafe and alpacas among others. Lovely countryside surrounding Dorchester and lovely cycle route to Oxford on the NCR5. Thanks George Hotel for a lovely stay!

Leider gibt es bis 8 Uhr kein Frühstück verfügbar. Für einen Geschäftsmann ist dies in der Praxis. Die Online-Chat-Funktion ist nicht wie angekündigt verfügbar. Die angekündigte Telefonnummer funktionierte nicht. Nicht eine große Erfahrung, sondern das Zimmer war hervorragend. Eine verpasste Chance
