Doda Artisanal Cave Hotel - Adults Only -

Einfach ein tolles Hotel im Zentrum mit sehr coolem Zimmerdesign. Wir wohnten im einfachsten und teuersten Zimmer mit Swimmingpool. Beide sind cool, aber das mit dem Pool ist natürlich wunderschön. Sehr angenehme Atmosphäre im Hotel, sehr fürsorgliches und freundliches Personal, sie haben bei allem geholfen. Wir haben alle Ausflüge im Hotel gebucht und sie waren günstiger, was sehr überraschend war. Besonders gut hat mir gefallen, dass jedes Zimmer einen eigenen Ausgang und eine kleine Terrasse mit unterschiedlicher Inneneinrichtung hat. Sehr leckeres Frühstück. Alles ist sehr stilvoll und ästhetisch ansprechend, jede Vase und jeder Becher im Raum ist einfach ein Kunstwerk. Ich kann dieses Hotel in Kappadokien wärmstens empfehlen ❤️

The hotel was not built on the cave, its “cave looking” hotel. The atmosphere was rustic and charming, the view from the terrace was beautiful. Staff were very friendly and helpful, the internet was fast. The breakfast was amazing, freshly made for us each day and their cats were super cute! In terms of our room: the bed was big and comfy; the room was warm with a good heating system. It was charmingly designed with a cave-hole-sofa area and a shower area that looked like they had been carved out of the wall. But it wasn’t always practical - for instance it is an open-plan design so the toilet is part of the main living area with no door to separate it. One of us had to go out the room when we needed a toilet. Luckily there was a communal toilet in the communal area but it was cold! Downsides: 1. The village of Ortahisar is quite remote and a little limited for restaurants 2. Like many buildings in the area the hotel have a fire and chimney. Although the chimney was high and in the courtyard area, some of the smoke smelled toxic and we didn’t feel comfortable. 3. The drain in the shower seemed to be blocked and took ages to empty, the shower water wasn’t always super hot, one of the shower fixings was broken. It was a lovely hotel but the open plan bathroom made my stay difficult.

This cave hotel has less than ten rooms, everything is inside a court and you feel like in an old fortress. The location is outside the center, but not far away from the few restaurants and shops of the village. The room is amazing, but we were literally in a cave, without windows in the room, someone could feel oppressed. We had the breakfast on the roof terrace, there was no buffet, but the waiters brought us a little bit of everything. Excellent cappuccino. The staff was very kind and friendly, even if there was only a person speaking English, (my favorite staff member was a fluffy kitten that I named Honey).

My husband and I stayed here for the first part of our honeymoon and had an absolutely incredible time. The staff was truly exceptional, and Ata made sure to make our trip as romantic and individualized as possible. He scheduled everything from airport drop-offs to a private wine tasting to restaurant recommendations. The premises are impeccably maintained. We had so much fun in our private pool. We loved the little town that the hotel was in. And the breakfast is truly phenomenal - does not disappoint. All in all, we highly recommend!

It’s more than just accommodation; it’s an immersive experience in a charming and distinctive environment. Don, Seda's counterpart is a standout with his incredible talents ranging from crafting alcohol to his engaging sense of humor and magical tricks. His presence significantly enhanced the warmth and welcoming atmosphere of the hotel. Seda was instrumental in organizing our tours and excursions. Her spot-on recommendations and seamless arrangements allowed us to fully immerse ourselves in the local culture and landscapes, adding a magical dimension to our journey. The hospitality of Doda Cave Hotel truly sets it apart. Our connection with Don and Seda was the highlight of our trip, their personal touches and meticulous care for each guest shining through in every aspect. In addition to Don and Seda, the hotel's manager deserves special recognition. He ensured everything ran smoothly, demonstrating exceptional care and attention to detail. Their efforts made us feel completely at ease and well taken care of throughout our stay. The hotel's amenities, especially the breakfast, were outstanding in both variety and quality, a testament to their commitment to excellence. In summary, Doda Cave Hotel is not just a place to stay; it's a destination in its own right. We give it a well-deserved 10 out of 10. Leaving was hard, but we departed with beautiful memories and the hope of returning to this splendid haven. We highly recommend it for those seeking an extraordinary, well-rounded experience.
